Want a good .rar extractor @McLaren? Here is a great one! http://www.philipp-winterberg.com/software/free_rar_extract_frog.php (For me, no added software or malware) WinRar is also good but requires a subscription after a while I think. đź‘Ť

I use WinRar. http://www.winrar.nl/ English version available 32 and 64 bit. It's free, although it asks you after some time to get a license but you're not forced to. I'm using it for 10 years or maybe longer now :odd: It does everything WinZip does and more.

Silly question, how do you get to drive from Poland to Russia when is not road that conect the tow maps, I have Prod-mods, the Russian map an i think Poland rebuild + going east dlc but when i look at the map there is not conection between Russia and the rest.

Thanks in advance

@Arhok are you sure you've activated the map? There's a road on my map, and I also own the DLC and have all the mods. :)
Yes it is, i can see Russia and the roads on the map, but there is no a road that connect them with the rest of Europe.

Maybe Leggy1is right, ill test without the Poland rebuild mod

Thanks guys

A load so big I had to cancel the job, wouldn't fit through the toll booth!

I use all of those mods and the last one I added was Poland rebuilding. There was a connection to Russia before and after I added the Poland map so , no I don't think its related to that. Check the thread at scs forum , I think someone mentioned they had the same problem as you. http://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=155934

/\ @leggy , that's hilarious !

Looking at the fuel consumption figures at GTP trucking co , seems I have a massive lead foot. I'm currently trying to address that but I feel like a fat guy in a cake shop. It takes a lot of self control  The last job I submitted was a big improvement though so there is hope for me :D

What mod is this! :scared:
Jazzycat's cargo pack, it's the widest trailer but very hard to come across.

@spinner I stay below 1500rpm and stick to the truck speed limits, or 80kph max on motorways. Also, most of the time I drive 500hp Scanias. The 600+ hp trucks are less economical in most circumstances. It's now easy to stay below 30L/100km.

Best have another go and find another route dodging the toll roads then, GTP Trucking don't like letting the customers down  all part of the heavy haul fun :D

Can you post a lint to the mod, I like the look of that :D

Just 1 noobish question, do I need to start a new profile every time I chop and change mods?

Unfortunately I was in Poland, couldn't avoid the tolls ;)

Part of Jazzycat's cargo pack:

No need to change profiles, except for map mods such as TSM or Promods. But be careful when removing mods. Lets say you enable a Peterbilt mod, you buy the truck but don't like it so you want to remove it. For it to be removed properly you should sell the truck before disabling the mod, to prevent any issues with your game.

For me, staying around 80Kph makes the biggest difference but, also things like the weight of the load, tolls, and hills will !take a massive difference in mileage.

Quick question for those of you using promods. When you've got an older version of it installed and want to install a new version, what do you do to !make sure there are no problems? This is of course using the same profile.

Disable the old version đź‘Ť

Thanks for the economy tips guys.

On the last trip I took a light load (10t) and ever since I've been driving for GTP , I have stuck to the speed limits and have gone back to a 500hp engine. I've been very careful in towns to try to pass through traffic lights without having to come to a stop (timing is everything) and trying to think ahead to eliminate unnecessary fuel waste , considering hills , traffic congestion and tollbooths.
In that one job , I reduced my average usage from around 45l/100km to 39 :) It has certainly added a whole new element to the game now , which is cool :D

@Kamuifanboy , yes you can remove or delete the old file from the mods folder if it has been disabled.

Does anyone have any figures on how much data the multiplayer mod uses per hour? Near death without internet in my apartment and I'm highly considering getting a mobile wifi system from Vodafone with 15GB of data for the month.

I've noticed there's 3 expansions or so excluding going west. However, I've heard they're not all compatible? I really like the one that takes you up north & the Russia one, but iirc, the 3rd takes you south in Italy? Which of these will runs together?

I'm assuming these are the TSM & Pro Mod I see mentioned?

Sorry, just bought the game last night & eager to jump into the modding community.

@McLaren TSM adds southern areas such as Greece, North Africa and more Italy. Promods adds Scandinavia and more France. Russia is not actually all of Russia but still adds a lot (includes some Belarus too).

All of the 3 maps work with Going East. However, TSM does not work with Russia or Promods. Promods and Russia work together. You need Going East to use Russia, otherwise the roads wont be connected.

In my opinion (I have done many miles on all maps) TSM is quite low quality compared to Promods and Russia. TSM is bigger than Promods and Russia on their own but combining Russia and Promods gets the biggest map. Also, Russia and many parts of the Promods map have the most beautiful scenery, and some challenging and entertaining roads.

There are other map mods, but these 3 are probably the best ones.

Also, if you install map mods on your profile, don't try to remove them. You will have to start a new profile if you don't want to use them.

Hope this helps đź‘Ť

Uh oh. Forgot about that. :indiff:
Yeah it makes the game unable to load. Unless you are replacing a map with a newer version of the same map. Then you can disable the old version and enable the new version, hopefully without any problems (well cant always be certain with mods).
