The fastest ROAD car in GT4!

you watch top gear right,, that sagaris in it sexes me good,
i want that in chameleon orange, or black. imagine being overtaken by a black sagaris at night, , **** that would be awsome..

Tehe Sagaris is the most accomplished TVR ever, it's not the fastest but it has the best feel to it, the Cerbera 4.5 Red rose will equal a Sagaris to 60 beat it 100 and top out at around 200, but I doubt it would win round a track.

You can see the Cien in action in the new Ewen Macgregor movie, 'The Island'

You are absolutely right. Almost forgot, i've just seen the preview of the ISLAND, but i think they did crash it in that movie. Awesome looking car.

It is 5:53 PM, you are late for your first date with your dream girl(....err, or guy).
You run to the garage and jump in one of your cars. The car is street legal(but can be tuned to perfection). The car has no Steering Aids, it has Sports Medium tyres on, it has traction contol that you can switch on if you are a wussy! :nervous:
Your date arrives at exactly 6 PM, and if you do not meet her on the spot she will leave right away! The meeting place is 20.83km away. :guilty:
Off you go!! ...........................
Will you arrive after 6 PM and miss your date, or will you be a hero and get there in time, and maybe still have a time to order drinks before your girl shows up? :sly:

What I'm trying to get at here is this..............: I think the 'ring it is a good track to test the overall speed of a car. Some car might be a monster on the Test Track, but it cannot stay on the track when speeding down a winding road. The fastest road car should be fast on the road, the 'ring has the closest "feel" to real public road.
So, what is the time of your fastest road car to the bar at Nurburgring Nordschleife? 💡

The Speed 12 stock and I don't know tuned, I haven't tuned enough of my supercars.

The Speed12 is realy fast when untuned with Racing tires. It's such a fun car when you dose the throtle. And the sound it makes when you shift down.

I've gotten my SRT-10 over 295mph, to stick to the original topic :)

As for the Nurburgring, the M5 handles on the track like a dream, but I'm sure I could get the SRT-10 faster, I just haven't driven it there yet. I think I got a time in the 6:20s with the M5, but don't take that as a fact, cuz I'm not looking at the game right now :)

i gotta a fully modified (stock six-speed) viper gts up to 278mph. if i played around with the settings a little more i might be able to get a little more outta it.

Absolute rubbish...the SLR cannot do 0-200kph in 5.6 seconds...the McLaren F1 couldn't even do that

yeah you caught me out sorry i was meant to write 11.6 seconds still thats bloody quick

I'd still say the fastest road car we have in the game is the speed 12, once it's launched it's unstoppable by any other car in my opinion.

(little off topic: here in switzerland, you can go to jail instantly for going 30kmph over the speed limit if it's in a village, basically driving a 50hp car can get you into jail for speeding, imagine the sentency you get for pushing the gas for 11.6 seconds in a SLR :dunce: )

Anyone seen a SLR yet? Seen two in Zürich, they give a nice sound when they take off... :)

Is there a way to prove your speed without capturing the replay and doing a screenshot off your PC? I mean, can you take a photo with it on or something?

And for the first post... Not all Rally cars are slouchy on top end, I got the Escudo above 400km/h STD.. hehe, <--- Sorry, that was off topic

how much is a cien in the US?. go down to your cadillac dealer and take one for a drive and do a report for us!

According to Car and Driver, it was actually just a concept shell; it drove but you had to sit on plywood, and you couldnt go faster than 30 mph  . So nah, it was never street legal.

Since it's being used in a film now it's probably a normal car now, it won't have the performance the road car would if it went into production though, one off film cars usually perform crap because they don't have to be well engineered like that.

hahaha.. *watches it roll down the hill ...... before its wheels fall off*....

im not trying to dog gran turismo because there are plenty of fast road cars but why dont they have some of the true fastest such as the mclaren F1, ferrari enzo, carrera gt, and the worlds fastest car with a top speed of 388km/h-thats like 240- the koenigsegg ccr.
The roadgoing version of the Porsche 962(my avatar) and the Bugatti Veyron can both crack 250mph.

Back on topic I got my Skyline GTR '00 to run the 0-400m in 8.040.
Fastest 400m I've done with a street car so far. Soo close to 7s. :(

The Bugatti veyron is currently the fastest (top speed wise) production car. The Ferrari Enzo attempted to beat the Mclaren f1 to 100kph, but failed by meerly 0.1secs.... which i suppose is still a fair bit when where only talking about 3 and 1/2 seconds....

Just thought you would all like to see this...

Ultima GTR
World Record: 0-100-0 mph (10.3 seconds)

Beat the previous record by nearly .5 seconds.

Video of this is availible in the Misc section of the videos at racing-flix.com.

Here is a picture of the monster.

Btw, if you all want to find out what the fastest road car in gt is, I suggest more testing and less opinion. ;)

Just a start though... R390GT1 Road Car- easily one of the top contenders.
(does this question include modified cars or is everything about "stock")

Edit:
Checked it out and this is all about tuned street cars at any level.

However, I can't help but want to test the true fastest street car and not just the street car with the highest top speed.
Maybe testing around motegi and the 'ring? :mischievous:

Hopefully I will be back tomorrow with plenty of testing data. 👍
(sports soft tires and any mods!!!)

Well, :D
The Ultima GTR is the real life fastest.

In the game though.

I'm looking forward to testing all of this myself but I don't know exactly where to start.

I suppose all the regular picks?
Any suggestions for which cars to test would be greatly appreciated though. :sly:

Fastest as in point-to-point instead of merely 0-infinity?

In RL, I'd lay my bets on the Ultima or a tuned Noble, unless the ground is even mildly wet or dusty, if it were, I bet a Gallardo would show them up.

In GT4, an R390 may be a good bet (damn! no Toyota!), but it hardly counts as production, even though it technically WAS... Does the ZZII count as production? If not, the Zonda may kick all comers.

I haven't gotten around to testing ALL the road cars (I'm working on it :) ), but so far my results (based on 15 tracks/best lap times/all mods/R3's) are:

TOP FIVE TIMES
1. Nissan R390 Road Car (nothing else even comes close)
2. Viper SRT-10
3. TVR Speed 12
4. Lotus Esprit Sport 350
5. Pagani Zonda C12S 7.3

TOP 10 (with concepts included)

1. R390
2. Tommy kaira ZZII
3. Viper GTS-R Concept
4. VW W12 Nardo
5. Viper SRT-10
6. Speed 12
7. Cien
8. Esprit Sport 350
9. Zonda 7.3
10. Viper GTS

As I stated, I haven't gotten to them all (obviously). I am going through my garage and testing them in order of horsepower. I'm also doing race cars so it takes awhile. Then I plan to do rally cars and tuner cars. Then I may go back and test every road car stock. I think I will be busy for a time.

I take it you've fully tuned all of thoes, they arn't exactley road cars anymore ehen they're tuned with racing suspension and a racing carbon chassis and roll cage ect.

Yeah, I tuned them. Just seeing what each could do with all mods. I like to see what a car can do when pushed to the max. I'm probably going back later to test them stock to see what the difference is. Even tuned though they are still "technically" a road car. :)

My tuned Ford GT goes 420 km/hour with nos ( and some slipstream in a race meeting). It doesn't even have the best turbo on it (yet).
In GT3 i had a Ruf GTR that could go 450 without nos or slipstream.

Yeah, but the Daeur Racing 962 LM is very much so a race car without as much aerodynamics, as is (on a somewhat related note) the Nissan R390 GT-1 road car, the Tommy Kiara ZZ-II and the TVR Speed 12. And the Bugatti Veyron isn't even really done yet in pre production specs becuase Volkswagon still hasn't finished the W-16 engine.

The Dauer has loads of downforce, so does the speed 12, but not in GT4. The real Cerbera Speed 12 has nearly as much downforce as the one that was raced in GTS class sportscar racing. But the Bugatti Veyron is nothing like a race car.

Yeah, but they have comprably less to their racing couterparts. Also, I know the Bugatti isn't a race car, I was just stating that it isn't really a road car until they have one built in final specs.
