I went with cutest option, quickest one to sign for too. (Alfa Romeo)

Probably should have test drove the cars beforehand though, I struggle a lot with the power oversteer so have to drive quite tentatively. Fun as long as I don't end up in a barrier.

The events don't seem that serious so I will resist urge to get a wheel for now. I wonder if people are sandbagging in practice though, on Suzuka it seems even I could get first with DS4 if I get a decent lap in after a few sighter laps. I'm rubbish at getting it all together on this track though with DS4, hard to nail the racing line with the handling balance how it is with the 4C Gr.3.

I need to get in some practice too, haven’t qualified for the Manufacturer Series yet. Still haven’t decided whether I should race for Nissan or do this season in the Nations Cup. I like having variety; so I might just go for the Nations Cup. We’ll see soon. After a few laps at Suzuka.

Signed with BMW. The Z4 is very stable and suites my driving style.

Suzuka MFR Cup will be about 10 straight qualifying laps and not making any big mistakes. The idea is to get a big enough lead on the car behind you by spoon curve so he cant draft and try a pass into the chicane.

It's hard to pass cleanly at Suzuka, and if the guy in front is holding you up it usually allows an overly zealous driver behind you to close and start getting impatient. One of my worries going into the race is getting hit while turning into a corner by a dive bomber and picking up a10 second penalty. To counter this I'll try defending by driving in the middle of the road entering a hard breaking zone. This will discourage a dive bomb and it won't hurt my cornering speed as much as defending all the way to the inside.

I've gone for Alfa, I just love the 4C Gr4 and Gr3. Nice and light, short wheelbase should suit my sloppy driving style on the short twisty tracks we only have thus far.

Wish I did the same instead for Citroën..

Point Race 1 - 5*. You have five point races you could enter, in case some times work and some don’t. Let’s say you can’t make it to the first race, then you have four more races you can attend* before it ends. Doesn’t mean you get more points for racing at 23:00.

*you can only attend one race per day. At a time that suits you best within those five times they’ve set.

I stand corrected. Yes you can.

My result in the manufacturer series: qualified 12th and held it throughout the race. The guy behind me rammed me on the very first lap on the first corner. No shock there. But noone passed me.

Just qualified 5th in manufacture round Suzuka showed everyone’s grid slots and stuff all of a sudden my car moved from fith then hit first place no cars were moving except mines then got disqualified just rage quited anyone had this happen it’s like it was glitched out I was the only one moving and everyone was still in their slots

I call that bad internet connection. Man, that sucks.

I qualified first in the Nations Cup. In the end I had not only the fastest lap... I also won! It feels so good. Hahaha. To be an average racer (but clean) it certainly feels like an achievement.

Just finished 6th in nations and 8th in manufacturers. I was too considerate in the manufacturers, bmw that had gone off corner before went for inside so left him room rather than be aggressive but tire hit outside edge of track and I spun. Recovered in 16th and managed to claw back to 8th. Think I need to be more aggressive when defending.

Thank you! I got... 60 points.. what? How is that even possible? That’s the lowest on my friends list.

@MadMax which position did you end up in, I see you have 123. And @RaceFace85 you’re on top of my friends list with 577. How come you got that much and I got only 60?
What is weird is that I got more in the manufacturer series.. where I placed lower. Weird... sure, my rating is D/S...but really? Does it matter that much?

Double stress here, not due to contract - been in my fav Nissan booth, but

1) really hope i get back home from work to catch the last race.
2) not yet really confident about my motioncontrol consistency.

Had the first race, P2. Didn't have much chance against a Porsche driver. I was quite satisfied to my pace anyway.
A little steering wheel oddity: my T300RS got lighter after lap 5. Maybe it got into safe mode? It didn't affect my racing.

Pretty sure it wasn’t my internet to rub salt in my wounds qualified p3 in the nations cup got rammed then got a 30 second penalty came second last and my driver rating went from a B to a D

Good racing in the Manufacturer's Series earlier, until I got held up by a back marker that had no idea about etiquette or the (albeit missing) blue flag rule. My first win, 147 points in the bag.

Are we matched against drivers with similar SR and DR ratings like in sport mode ? These races are listed under sport mode, that's why I ask. My DR rating is barely B and it's been slipping lately with the daily races so I'm thinking I should drop down into C and be more competitive.

Overall enjoyed my 2 races but both came with some frustrating niggles:

I qualified 12th in the Nations Cup - which I opted to do first rather than the Manufacturer Series - and within around the 5th lap I was in P2. So far so good, until I start approaching the racer in last place in an attempt to lap him. I have no idea whether it was hacks or a really really woeful internet connection but his car was literally flying and spawning all over the place in front of me and there's absolutely nothing I can do except hope for the best. Of course, knowing my luck, when his car was appearing about 5 seconds ahead of me on the main straight, it suddenly decided to spawn directly in front of - backwards - which somehow made me crash straight into him. Immediately after the incident he just spawned directly at the first corner which realistically would have been impossible as the collision occurred half way down the straight. To add insult to injury, he didn't even finish last! Instead that title went to the poor guy I was battling for P4 early on in the race who suffered the same fate as me with the 'glitchy-racer' so I count myself lucky to have taken P7 and 184 points to my name.

Undeterred, I headed into the next available race in the Manufacturer Series where I qualified 6th. Unfortunately, I was rear-ended in the first lap on the second-to-last corner which miraculously only cost me 3 or 4 positions after working my way up to P5. I had P7 to myself for the rest of the race after clawing my way back up. The guy who rear-ended me took P5 immediately after the collision before he proceeded to fall off and finish stone dead last. Karma you beautiful 🤬. I was rewarded with 218 points for that race.

Had one race in the Nations Cup tonight. Qualified 14th after some proper idiots where quite happy to ruin everybody's laps in quali. Anyway race was a lot better slowly worked my way upto sixth and ended up with 585 points.

had some nice battles out there, but most of the time was trying to consistently run lap by lap avoiding some major errors. All sectors with green SR, first race since i got SR S rating today in the morning.

Nice! any idea how the point system works though? It seems to favour those with higher rating.

About the points given - seems you get more points when you gain some positions and actually you get more points for getting for example from 13th to 6th than for winning the race. I have no idea if this is a glitch which needs to be remastered. We'll see when more guys show up with points and their results.
