I guess now would be a bad time to admit that I have about a dozen Stooges DVDs and have been known to debate Curly vs Shemp (Curly Joe isn't even a consideration).

Some people have an attraction to vaudeville style acts. I also like classic films, radio dramas, and even radio theater. There is just something pure about the entertainment media from that time. I really can't explain it and I'll admit that The Stooges are a love them or hate them kind of thing.

But then I love new slapstick comedy over the sex-based or bad behavior comedy that seems to be big today. There can be a good balance between silly and crude humor, but the balance has been off for 15 years or more.
