I think I should ask because I've maybe hit a language barrier here. I mean it as harmless joking around but maybe "trolling" is meant to be used only as actual trolling? People seem to get touchy whenever I mention it, as if the "joking around" meaning can't be attributed to it.

I'm more frustrated and saddened with the fact the company will be gone. First anime DVD I ever bought by myself was the Eureka Seven movie, and that was from Bandai.

Sigh, not to mention you now have to get everything you want from Bandai fast as they'll only keep printing the stuff until their license for each series is over. Some things I have to hurry up with...

-Eureka Seven
-Gurren Lagann
-Lucky*Star
-Mobile Suit Gundam 00
-The Big O
-Code Geass (Both seasons.)
A full list of everything they've been involved with. They were such a big influence to the market here.

Well, you also have the international cousins. Bandai JPN vs Bandai USA. We will be seeing more of Bandai because its part of Namco. Though we have yet to see the new Fiscal Year to start..
Yeah, but that's not Bandai Entertainment, an anime licensing company. The Bandai you're talking about is involved with video games.
imo, it doesn't require group effort to kick a cylindrical water container, TC.
Eh?

That's not what I was talking about, I'm wondering what he is going on about there being effort for Tokyopop to have kicked the bucket?

Am I just trolling? I just took some avatars and just changed mine. FZ 2 needs to come out >.<
Agreed, it's going to be a painful wait as episode 13 ended on a big cliffhanger. Maybe the Fate/Zero Blu-ray box will hold me over.

The news that Bandai Entertainment has gone down sucks. :( It really starts the year in a depressing way for the US anime business. :( --- Randy

Yeah, it really does unfortunately. And last year ended with Bandai's online store closing down a couple days ago.

Goes to show how bad things have gotten. On a side-note, I can't believe many people are actually cheering about them going under (Who knows when they actually will.). Good lord, they've been a big influence and player in the market here for over a decade.

On a side-note, looking forward to the interview on ANN tomorrow for more news.

1.I do

2.Mostly the old cyberpunk, and sci fi stuff like Akira, Appleseed, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Macross Plus, anything Gundam Ghost in the shell, and Cowboy bebop, I also like the racing genre like Initial D (obviously), Wangan Midnight, & Wangan Midnight C1.

3.Aside from attempting to draw, and playing the video games? Not really anything.

4.Wangan Midnight, its actually the series that got me interested in the Z car.

5.Akira, it was the first adult oriented movie I had ever seen, and its my favorite movie of all time, I even own (most) of the figurines, and have a red leather jacket with the blue & white pill sown onto the back .

Nice!!! Mostly just a bunch of loli-fappers in here, though, no wonder I'm the first to respond!

But no, you should realize what a bunch of Eva and Gundam geeks most of us are by looking back through a few pages. And the only reason we don't talk about ID and WM is because we already have long ago. Some here don't think much of WM, I love it and have seen it a few times now. But I also have to admit that without also being a petrol head I'd only have given ID and WM like 7/10 at best instead of the 8/10-9/10 I've given them over at ANN.

Probably just for today, don't think you are ( not) alone on the Asuka trend.

Then why haven't you joined Team Asuka yet? There's a free Asuka clone in it for you if you sign up! :D

A bit late for the pic of myself, but meh, who gives a crap:

I wonder who's going to license Kidou Senshi for the US now?

Funimation? Ew.

Not so much "Ew.", they just make very odd voice actor choices at times.

-> Ugh, whats with this Kamina glasses all over the place!? :indiff:

Anime Business Going Toilet in US -> I am deeply saddened about this news. Out of all the distributors Bandai was one of my highly regarded companies, even higher than FUNimation! :(

-> Too bad for Bandai; as they hold many, many Gundam titles on hand and and they are trying to break through on it cable lineups too...

-> I'm used to be a fan of ADV Films back in their hayday even buying their mangas too! (I still have the original ADV copies of Azumanga Daioh for petes sake) :indiff:

-> ADV's effort on NewType USA was commendable in my book, now instead of throw my NTUSA mags I tend to keep all my 10 issues of NTUSA. And since I have a copy of the original NewType Japan (11/06), NTUSA replicates it JDM-version quite well (although the US-version had way less pages/content). 👍

ooh, shiny shiny sword. :3 My waifu looks as if she thinks she's more badass than Arnold Schwarzenegger though  Looks like I get to have some friendly competition with my waifu on who gets to look more badass.

No stay with Sunrise :dopey:. Unless something happend, if so please tell. I like to see the Haro at the beginning of every Sunrise published Gundam series:).

Nvm read the rest of the thread lol. Sad... Better buy Bluray copies of gundam unicorn.
