So the logical thing is to make more appealing anime, not jack up the prices on otaku bait junk.

The issue is non-otaku bait stuff (That isn't for kids-kids stuff being NGE, Shonen Jump, Gundam, etc. or Ghibli) doesn't do well these days, and is such a big risk that it can easily make them lose money. It's a tough issue as otaku-bait is pretty much the only thing keeping anime in general alive there now.
Also, I never said they needed to raise the price on Japanese releases. I was talking about the market here.

The way I see things is if you love something, you should support it, simple as that.
If you want more shows like Another, and less shows like High School DxD and K-On!, try showing support with your wallet. If more shows like those actually start to do well, companies will be more inclined to produce more of those kinds of shows.

The problem I see in your belief is that you don't take into consideration the limits people will go to do so. You might not have any, but other people do as you should already know by now and I urge you to think about topics from other peoples' perspectives before arguing about the same thing over and over again.
Anyway, Bakuman 23 was sick. That ending was so unexpected. This show knows how to keep you watching. You guys looking for a "regular ol"-looking drama without all that moe crap? Bakuman is it.
