Thought I'd watch 5 Centimeters Per Second the other day because the art looked absolutely beautiful. And it does, the colors and detail are very dreamy... but, oh noes, it's another sad-ish story...

Agreed, though I must admit that I'm not so much a fan of actually animated anime any more. I'm much more a manga fan than anime at this point (mostly because I'm looking for anime that I'm interested in and at the same time I have a few manga that I'm already a fan of... Naruto, Breaker: New Waves, and a few others (just to name a couple).
Come to think of it... I should probably change the thread name to include manga but knowing that you guys have been using "the general anime thread" for so long I'm going to ignore that and leave it be.
Oh, btw, almost at 50,000 responses, getting to be pretty much an amazing long thread at this point. God have mercy on the anime fan who takes the time to read all the previous replies.
I mean, 2400 pages! Some of this stuff is over 10 years old now! Very cool IMHO.
Oh, and again, btw, I just checked the first page for nostalgia and cant help but laugh that the first response all those years back was a total troll. How perfect is that lol!? Totally lame of course but just the same I get a laugh out of it.

Im thinking Vash, him and I used to talk saturday anime all the time because of adult swim. We'd have weekly reviews in this thread. Of course the whole time those other members were there but back then Wolfe would do 10 word replies and triple post.

Hell, the troll who took reply #2 was only like 13 y/o at the time and now he can legally drink in the US.

Their soul would not survive, and I know this solely from the stuff I was around for.
I'm sad. I have IRL friends that like anime, but then they have the nerve to tell me that they like Sword Art Online and can't see why it was bad. One of them even tried telling me that High School DxD was a good show.
Little Witch Academia 2 met their stretch goal of $500,000 yesterday, with several days left. Crazy, I actually felt like the stretch goal wouldn't have been met. Yesterday morning I checked and there was still over $20K needed, and I come back from work and it's met!
Goodsmile also said that if the stretch goal was met, they would consider making a LWA Nendoroid. Pretty stoked for that.
Studio Trigger is off to an awesome start. Can't wait for Kill la Kill now.

A part of me wanted to see Artgerm do Kiss Shot, but I'm cool with Jun too. He makes any character look badass.
Here's a cool figurine:
Sculptor maintained the style of Miwa Shirou. You can see the difference from current sculpting style (I call it "generic") namely in the eyes and the way the hair, dress and ribbon is captured.
I'd buy it if I was a Miku collector. Speaking of, the Miku Knight from years ago never passed the prototype stage:
