Oh it will happen, NGE is quite the cash cow, and the Japanese companies know a Blu-ray release will sell a lot. I'm expecting it to happen in 2015 (Because 20th anniversary and where the show takes place-despite being seriously outdated. Walkmans in 2015? No smartphones?) or a little after that. Probably after 4.0 comes out.Do you think NGE will get a Blu-ray release in the future? I mean Gainax surely still wants to milk the crap out of it right?
At least you leave in a country where anime can be acquired without piracy!
All the seemingly "legit" stuff you find in stores here are Chinese copies with "Original" stickers slapped on them.
Since the series was cel-animated, it will receive quite the visual improvement by going on Blu-ray. Older anime like that look 🤬 amazing on Blu-ray (When remastered correctly that is).
Not to mention you could also have that audio remastered and sound even better, 5.1 Dolby TrueHD or 5.1 DTS-HD.

Yeah it's already 5.1, but that's just 5.1 DTS, not 5.1 DTS-HD.

What would you expect from a "Let's play!" for the game? That's literally what the anime is, which is one thing that caused quite a bit of backlash.

I was hoping more than expecting I think. They brought up a conflict based on philosophies in two episodes and that had my attention, because that alone gave the show a stronger foundation than what most crummy shows have. Sadly, they didn't do much with it other than do senseless running-away-in-the-rain drama.

Oh no, I'm reasonably excited for the last episode, since the series has been pretty decent thus far. I have to wait until tuesday to watch the episode, though.

I feel like they goofed up the pacing. They ran through everything that occurred in said epode, but everything that happened before hand was done at a consistent, yet now-apparent slower pace than what they could've done. Rather, the whole drama ensued in episode 11 was probably not even needed. All that time consumed could've probably been spent by the events in ep12, and we probably could've dragged the final trial into two episodes. I rather do that than speed through it all in 17 minutes.

Finally got round to watching The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. It was pretty damn good. I'd definitely recommend it as a good starting point to anyone wanting to get into anime beyond Ghibli's stuff.

I follow shows that no one else seems to, nowadays. Mostly because, I don't watch the shows they watch... Only those I have watched.
I still have to watch A Channel and Persona 4... and I own copies of the shows! P4 looks amazing; it looks just like the game. I have a thing for Yukiko, though...

I think you need to see my ARM avatar 👍 I can't really pick Rise in the game but I have grown to like Chie. ( I really don't know why, the female cast are awesome)
