Well it's going to end at 25 episodes as they're close to the (Monthly) manga, and it's a late-night anime.
Long-running shounen anime rarely happen anymore (Like all there has been in the past two years was Sket Dance-ended, Toriko-still going, Saint Seiya Omega-still going, and Hunter x Hunter (2011)-going to end when it catches up to the manga soon that's always in constant hiatus). It's lucky it ended up as a 2-cour anime as those are harder to come by these days

Yep, it's taken the anime fandom by absolute storm, and on MAL it's already crushed Madoka, MADOKA, MADOKA in terms of popularity, and the show isn't even done yet.Everyone is. Even my friends who don't watch anime as frequently are watching it.

That is saying a lot considering Madoka took the anime fandom by storm shortly after it ended.

I just got Volume 2 of the Eva Platinum collection through in the post. So glad I picked that up for so little, even if the rest was going for extortionate prices.

So now it's going to become a late-night anime, anime that rely almost entirely on disc sales rather than merchandise and TV ratings, and considering this type of show doesn't sell on disc really (Just like Naruto, Bleach, Cardfight!! Vanguard, Fairy Tail, etc.), I'm just left wondering how long it's going to stay on the air and succeed. Without those TV ratings it used to have it's going to struggle.
