@Takumi Fujiwara, great stuff. Like some of those figurines you got. What's the giant printer for? Rather, do you do work that requires a printer that size? I'm curious.

@Technicolors, my thoughts exactly. Someone got word there was actually a lot of good feedback about the show. I'm blown away by how none of the events that took place sat well at all.

Spoiler tags aren't back yet so I'll have to be super vague:

The vanishing didn't make sense. It shouldn't have happened (if my understand of the Boundary is correct). How it decides to conclude the episode doesn't make sense either. The events leading up to the final battle, mainly the conversation between Mirai and Kanbaru weren't very fitting of the context. The thing that also really killed it was the hillclimbing scooter. That was pure bollocks.

So, I finally got around to watchin he first episode of Attack on Titan the other day - and wow, my friends weren't kidding when they said it was depressing... :(

Anyway, I thought I'd take a picture of my room - well, my desk - too, though there's not much visible animu there:

HPWebcamPicture_0005_zps9f81f6f5.jpg

Those towering blocks either side of the screen? They're my speakers. That's a 19" monitor, by the way, just to give you an idea of how BIG they are. To the bottom-left of the monitor is my Dreamcast, for shoot-'em-ups (because I'm not contented with the torrents of rubbish doujin bullet-hell Touhou clones that litter the PC sh'mup scene) - and under the desk is my PC. You can just about see the bottom half of a Hatsune Miku statue that a friend made for my 18th birthday standing atop the right speaker, and there's a littering of boxes and other ornaments on the desk itself.

It's a complete mess, but eh, I know where everything is. The desk is so cluttered that I can't put the keyboard and mouse on it, but it's worth it for the sound quality. ;)

That's a wacky choice of speakers

I bet if you raise them up, you could have more room underneath for further storage. Though it'll probably just become more room for trash. Everyone's attached to trash.

Well, you could still cover it with white text: "like this" As long as someone doesn't randomly highlight it, it'll be a good way to cover spoilers for now.

I thought so too. Spoilers incoming - I saw someone's theory on the ending, and the person said that Mirai came back at the end because Akihito caught her ring that didn't vanish with her. Since he brought it back with him, it was a way to link Mirai to living again. The length of time before she reappeared was probably to rebuild herself. If he wouldn't have caught that ring, there was no way to get Mirai back. Of course that's just speculation so there could be lots of reasons.

I really enjoyed that scene. I was also a bit surprised Akihito didn't mention the fact that he can see up Mirai's skirt while she was on the scooter's front end lol. What a gentleman, indeed.

Didn't even care about the skirt peeking bit. I had a good feeling Kanbaru not giving a poop was because the writer(s) didn't have time to bother with that anymore.

Spoiler:
I don't understand how the Boundary was supposed to be that mini planet. The mini planet was made from the spear Miroku juiced up with his car. The boundary that was consuming Kanbaru was taken possession of by Mirai, which would make sense if she would vanish if she killed herself.. but then there seems to be a confusion that the planet was now the Boundary.

But here's more confusion to throw at you... they bring back that youmu stone that was originally acquired from defeating Kanbaru's youmu in episode 3 or 4... Defeating it would've meant his half youmu would've been gone and he would've been 100% human at that point. Except that wasn't the case. He's been half-youmu the entire show. What actually happened is that the youmu was suppressed. Suppressing it going by the show's parameters shouldn't have conjoured a youmu stone in the first place. Well now that it's here and that he's put it back into his right hand, he has "re-acquired his youmu side again" when he was still half-youmu before so that's more nonsense.

His youmu side was revealed to be the Boundary.... but then how would it make any sense if the Boundary was way up in the sky and that his youmu stone- which should've also been the Boundary going by previously mentioned fact- was in the clubroom?

Much confusion. Such error. Big screwup.

Nice room. But I can see that you have *those* kinds of pillows

Haha, I don't actually use them for their intended purpose though, they're just decorations. The big Saber one makes a good headrest to prop my pillows up on when reading/playing games in bed lol.

I have it for doing photo prints. It's 13"x19" so not quite as huge as some printers out there, but I definitely get my use out of the extra size. I actually bought it for making and updating my physical portfolio more than anything, it was only like $550 which isn't that much more than having 20 or 30 prints done commercially at that size. It's kind of a giant pain to run, pretty buggy and requires switching between matte and gloss black cartridges depending on which kind of paper I'm using, but the results are spectacular.

Spoiler:*snip*

Yeah, plus the situation was pretty tense anyways. Thought I bring it up

Spoiler -
Remembering back, it doesn't make sense to me either to have another youmu stone. His youmu spirit being suppressed makes reason of that but why there's a second I have no idea. But putting the Boundary in the sky and not anywhere else is like launching a missile from either Mexico or launching it from the moon. You would do it on the moon since gravity's much weaker there. That's probably the same thing for the Boundary, b/c it is a more central point. Also I couldn't understand why Akihito was re-united again by the Boundary on the last ep. Man, I'll probably have to read its novel equivalent...

It's kind of a giant pain to run.

Large printers tend to have problems often based on my experience at waiting in line at the school's printing facility. I doubt I'll need one, but it'd be damn nice if I got out of those ginormous Epson scanners. Just so I have the luxury of scanning things larger than Letter-size.

So TV in the UK is finally about to get the level of anime content it's been lacking for years when EATV launches next summer. And the best part? The public can vote on what series' or movie they want to air, as well as the option to switch between subbed and dubbed content. Fingers crossed this doesn't turn into a case of them biting off more than they can chew.

Voted Puella Magi. Also suggested Ghost in the Shell, Psycho-Pass and Bakuman.

Stuff like Fairy Tail and Dragonball are already known in Europe. Why replay what you've already seen I ask.

There's a 5 foot long printer at my school. Nobody ever uses it and I'm sure it was very expensive. It just sits there. I want it.

I've been with this avatar for a few weeks now

I would have a Kasumi (DoA) avatar, but I cannot for the life of me find one that meets my two requirements;

1. It needs to be post the graphic upgrade
2. She needs to be wearing something that isn't a swim suit.

This is harder than it sounds; loads of rule 34 stuff.

To think I didn't bother searching for an anime thread here and that I'd stumble upon a well-over 1500-page colossus...

Anyway, I've been watching LOADS of anime recently, and I love it to say the least.

Great Teacher Onizuka and Soul Eater are probably my two favorite series when I think about anime for 5 seconds (always takes me a while to remember what I've seen... :D). These aside, I've seen Neon Genesis Evangelion, Sword Art Online, Attack On Titan, Initial D, Berserk, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann... the list goes on ;) Now watching Attack On Titan and Sword Art Online.
Everyone cries every 16.8 seconds per average in both of them, what's up with that...?

Anyone here watched 5 Centimeters Per Second? And, did you find it as downright, absolutely sad as I did? Watched this one yesterday and in my opinion 'Forrest Gump' is a comedy full of desperately funny situations when compared to 5CPS. If 'Memories of Distant Days' would play at the end [of 5CPS], I swear to everything that's holy I'd cry my eyes out.
Oh well, maybe it's because I know exactly how Takaki feels...

Also, any opinions on 'Sword of the Stranger' and 'Children Who Chase Lost Voices'? I really want to see both of them, but kinda... can't find the time, I guess... I'm busy...? Yeah, that's it. I'm busy.

Honestly? In my opinion? Bar EXTREMELY few films, it's better than virtually anything Hollywood has written. I am not kidding either. It's also one very best F'N movies I've ever had the pleasure of seeing.

Yes. I did, I know exactly how it feels when you go by close to where someone lived and the rush of nostalgia and "how did I let that happen" comes unto you. Worse part: I go by there almost daily.

Right there with you 👍

Probably my all time favorite animated movie.
Definitely adult in theme, ground breaking in style, and compelling in story.

Watched Steins;Gate Movie last night. I enjoyed it quite a bit, and I liked the way it tied some of the other events together.

Just caught up with Galilei donna. It feels like the series is going to end soon, it is just tons of filler episodes now.

@DK AAAAAAAAA Ikuzo! Kamui Puropanketsu!

@nk4e, I think there's going to be another bigger enemy to deal with. Spoiler:
Similar to how there's been a presented larger opposition in Kill la Kill... or TTGL halfway through the show. The energy company was just a power struggle. Now there's bound to be a greater threat that wants the Tesora more than they do.

'
@nk4e Doubtful. Spoiler: Well, to me anyway. The pirates of the Ganymede don't seem to come off with malicious intent at this point seeing as how pirate lord is starting to grow an interest is Hazuki. It would however be totally awesome if all that was a deceiving act to really pull a fast one on them. But again, judging from how the characters are making out to be and basing this assumption off the usual plot patterns of contemporary anime, it's not going to happen. The Ganymede is likely going to be on the good side of the Galileo sisters until the end of the show. For now there's going to be resting time, likely a good and appropriate time for fanservice (i.e. beach episodes haha), but some random enemy's going to show up at the end of the episode.

I'm calling it :D
