Just watched the first two "Border"s of Ghost in the Shell: Arise. What an epic show, the action sequences are top notch, I hardly ever get exhilaration like that from watching anime. Last time I remember having it like this was for Samurai Champloo.

I didn't even know ep. 2 was out lol.

also Champloo ftFw.

I'm getting on that Arise after I finish all the earlier GITS stuff.

I'm becoming more inclined to get a Tachikoma model now.

What do I need to watch before I start Arise?

You don't have to watch anything. Arise can be seen as some sort of prologue to the GITS series (NO!! I'M THE CREATOR!! I SAY IT IS NOT!!!!!).

Shout out to Cornelius for doing the Arise OST, which is amazing btw. Buy it. His work is awesome.

I'm just curious here, but have any of you guys ever thought of making a manga / story yourselves? Even a slight interest counts

Oh yeah, a Raayearth doujin with added characters and stuff. Then a revenge story of a girl who looses her entire family to drug dealers and comes back from certain death with a military robotic body. I was like 20 years old. Never got around to ever do a thing about it with the exception of some designs for the girl, who wore a damn enormous hat. Dunno where they are now. She was called Isobel. Cue Björk.

Admittedly yes, and I have no idea where I put the disastrous result. It's better that way.

I'd make a school SOL/harem manga centered around myself. It'll depict events of me ruining various petite school girls.
I come here after a long break to see something obscene like this. :scared:

I think I should've stayed away longer.

-> okay

@Technicolors Nope. I used to draw stupid comics that tried to squeeze in all the kinds of humour I knew or have soaked in from previous media, so little of it made any sense and it had no plot of any kind. None of it was manga.

Closest to manga making was just one-off illustrations. I'm working on one now actually.

Psycho-Pass, Stein's Gate, Black Rock Shooter, Hataraku Maou-sama!, Suisei no Gargantia.

Psycho-Pass and Stein's Gate sound quite awesome.

Watch Aria if you want to try at something different than action, machines and school life.

Yep, different seems quite an appropriate description. I'll check it out as well.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!
