I happen to be watching Overlord as well. It's pretty cool, I'm enjoying it so far (ep. 10).

I agree, especially the episode when Clementine showed up. She's one hell of a freak. Now, I'll just wait for the second season came up as promised by Madhouse themselves... (and One Punch Man too)

Funny feat in this video. +1 to you if you can point it out.

Edit: Ohp. Found another one of kinds of music y'all could get more exposure to:

Well, if we're posting fanmade compositions of anime music, I believe this is in order. I simply love it.

I am currently learning to play Ichiban No takaramono on my piano, however, seeing as I am not cute, nor a girl, nor a cute girl, I think I shall refrain from making a video

Speaking of anime music, which composer do you guys prefer Yoko Kanno or Sawano Hiroyuki? Both are my favorite in it's own characteristics and style. Or is there other anime related music composer that peek your interest? Would like to know.

I don't know, but that girl is cute as hell.

Have you watched that show though?

Just ... don't record your face? Both boys and girls (cute or not-so-cute) don't record their faces when they piano. Cute faces is not a prerequisite to posting videos, it's just a view count enhancement.

I want to take up an instrument, but I haven't decided which to learn.

It was a joke :P

In terms of what instrument to choose, I fully recommend the piano. It's among those instruments where even playing badly doesn't sound too awful, and aside from learning to play with both hands at the same time, it's not too difficult. Learning both hands is extremely hard though, as I've now realized. Digital pianos aren't that expensive, and if you don't have you own house, it's beneficial to be able to connect a pair of headphones, so as to not disturb others. Not many instruments allow for that, while still retaining good sound quality. digital violins for example aren't very good.

imo Kanno > Sawano.

I like her huge diversity of music over his focused digitalized sounds.

Some other composers I only have limited knowledge of, but I've had a great first impression of:

Toshiyuki Watanabe - Space Brothers OST - Orchestral - moods: exploration, grand discovery, casual whimsical.
Tatsuya Katou - Samurai Girls OST - Orchestral - moods: battle, whimsy, focused on Japanese traditional instruments
Tanaka Kouhei - Hyouka - Orchestral - mood: "short-stories" of many themes; mystery being the primary
Choro Club & Senoo Takeshi - Aria: some of the calmest piano and Brazilian-style guitar playing
Nomi Yuuji - Nichijou - Orchestra - very great story-telling comps... think silent film comedies.
Michiru Oshima - Tatami Galaxy - Orchestra - classical orchestra almost... retro-Japanese style of pop
Kousaki Satoru - Monogatari - very experimental sounds

Nope, not yet

nani

Not even Albedo?

nani, nike- nani....

Thanks for your feedback. I also feel that Yoko Kanno is far more superior in terms of giving impression and emotions in her music, while Sawano is more like towards epic, hyped and tense battle kind of stuff, even though sometimes Sawano have some good slow and mellow tunes. Imo both have their own merits and characteristics that's make people enjoy their creations.

Also, pretty interesting list that you got there. Might check it out later. The only name I recognized from is your list is Michiru Oshima, because he also composed the theme for Little Witch Academia :

This is my favorite. It has sense of grandeur and there is epic adventure that awaits for you to explore in your own fantasy world. Also it sounds like an anthem for a kingdom or empire such of thing.

Best anime 2017 lol

Edit : Idk but I kinda addicted with this...

FYI this song used as an opening for this Spring season anime Alice to Zoroku (didn't watch the show, but this is pretty catchy song imo)

My anime backlog is over 9000.. and the fact that I have hardly watched any this year isn't helping things.

I haven't watched any anime in the last 6 months, until I ended up watching Your Name. Then it got me going again, tho it's still pretty slow and gradual. And my backlog remained the same as it was on MAL lol

I have watched barely anything. I'm still participating in anime, but the actual watching part is mostly benched.

Bless the cosmos for the few exceptions. Dragon Ball Super is a guiding light in these trying times.

Haha, it was confirmed ages ago I believe. Super excited though. Need to get around to the songs since my headphones arrived!

Yeah, we all already know S2 will coming, but this one is an official announcement from LL website, so it is legit confirmed at least.

Also, have fun with your new headphones! 👍 Get yourself up for full "idol experience" then
