We are humans. And we always have our brain working every seconds in our life. So basically "turn your brain off" means just to chill and enjoy what you do, especially watching your favorite anime no matter what genre or how easy and complex the story or plot it has, simply just to have time for break and relax. That is my opinion btw...

- Finally type up that novel idea that's going to become a best seller I swear

But seriously. I thought I'd finally have time to actually write something after my holiday in Stockholm. I don't. Since then I've gotten a new laptop, played all sorts of games on my three systems, seen more games I want to buy, and have been watching all the sport that I thought wasn't on because the football season (and now the NBA) is finished. I mean, last week literally every motorsport series was on. Which was great, but it means I still haven't written a thing. And now Le Mans is on this week... I need to find something from somewhere.

And I need to find it before July 29. That's when I've told myself to do a series of Touhou one-shots for an event on Reddit. I've got time, but...

I know that feel mate... Sometimes we want to get focus on our task but ended up distracted by certain things that we like. It is also happened to me btw. Already planned to finished college task, but ended up on hours playing game or do anime marathon  Thank goodness I can watch Le Mans without worrying any task now because it is the end of semester :D

Anyway, I saw your avatar is a girl from Getsuyoubi no Tawawa. How good is it? Should I go for the manga or the anime? Cause I only did watch first episode of the anime, it is about man who goes to work with train met with cute high school girl to cheer his day and that's the only thing I get from this show. Is there something I have missed?

I haven't watched the anime yet, partly due to reasons of time but mostly because if I tried to take in some of the manga's moments in anime form, I'd lose my mind so completely it'd never come back. And anyway, I can never really envision Tawawa in anything other than Himura Kiseki blue.

Personally, I think Tawawa on Monday is brilliant - the artist is really damn good and it gives me something to keep up with on Mondays. However, it is undoubtedly a very acquired taste, as while there are many words you could use to describe its various girls, there is one that fits them all: STACKED. And boy does it let you know about it.

If that sort of thing appeals to you, you'll probably love it. And even if you don't, Ai-chan's still excellent.

Alright thanks for your answer. Honestly I kinda interested after saw the piece of manga illustration and it was well drawn. Also I agree the artist had done a good job interpreting the character (it is a bit ecchi with some teasing fanservice imo), especially Ai-chan she looked attractive and as you said pretty much stacked (also with other main female character as well) and she is the type of person you want to accompany and cheered up your gloomy Monday. Don't forget the choice of color palette which is blue that symbolized the meaning "Blue Monday" I think that is clever and later become mainstream art style on the recent doujin or fanart. (And Tawawa Challenge as well if you remember that thing...)

Tawawa is low-key perv fantasy though. Tawawa is a bit too friendly with strangers I feel.

Alright what do you guys think of this :

Holy bananas, I will watch for the art alone.

Dude yes. Chuunibyou was my gateway a few years ago, so I'm massively happy to see ol' Nibutani back in action again.

DEKOMORI DES- you baka.

but I can't really point to anything overly memorable about it either, unless we're counting ending songs, in which case Inside Identity was a great song...

I like most of the ideas people come up with, but like most of them they're usually forgettable after a few months.

I'm a big fan of anime (read: weeb) and I've refrained from engaging in discussion of it since I consider it an escape and don't want to get entangled in some stupid discussion over which series is good and which series is bad, but reading the above posts suggests to me that I'm not the only one who just likes to sit back and relax when watching anime. I honestly don't have that high of expectations; I can find enjoyment in pretty much most of the series I watch regardless of how much I can say it's objectively bad.

This is my list: https://myanimelist.net/animelist/1241Penguin

It seems that I'm usually within 1 point of the average score of each series, meaning that most of the time, I agree with the average viewer.

Surprisingly anime is something I rarely get into fights about. I think it's because it's ultimately what you like, so there's no point fighting about it. I think the same has gone for this thread (until recently). The last six months or so I've lost quite a lot of interest in actually watching anime, but along with that also went the 'review' of the show. I used to get worked up on how I rated a show because it's so ambiguous. Is it rated on quality or enjoyment? etc. After that I really decided that I don't need to rate something because if I liked something, that's that matters right?

Anyway. Sent you an FR on MAL. :)

For anyone else.

Absolutely, and ultimately that's where the majority of the weight is in my scoring. I keep track of scores only for my own reference, hence why most other people should probably just ignore it.

I always thought it was just what Himura Kiseki did to stand out, but I guess your point is right. Even if it sounds like it's come out of an essay :P

(Coincidentally I am literally listening to a song called Blue Monday right now)

I would share my MAL as well but I've forgotten my password and the email it comes under is dead. Eh, even though it won't ever be updated, here it is anyway so you can see all the trash I have watched and/or will never watch. Because I haven't actually watched anything in ages and don't plan to for the foreseeable future because I'm busy doing just about everything else.

And the only anime fights worth seeing are the Top 10 Anime Battles.

Yeah, that's the one. Great song.

Anyway, I actually have a free evening tonight. I might spend some of it actually doing Touhou stuff. Certainly, I know there's some art I might post here tonight. But I've been meaning to play plenty of racing games since Tuesday so I'll probably end up doing that instead. Even more so if MotoGP 17 is any good.

You see my problem? I've got so much I wanna do that I can never decide what to do. Whatever, I'll shut up now. Maybe I'll just look at my anime list for now and wonder what the hell was I thinking with some of it.

In case you didn't know "Blue Monday" is an expression/term when we feeling gloomy and depressed after weekend ends then have to get prepared and do a stressful work on first day of the week. Pretty much signified daily life actually.

Also, I know some of you guys might triggered but what do you think of this list?

And that lead me to this question, for anyone who already watch live-action adaptation of Ghost In The Shell what do you feel about it? We are not talking about the whitewashing actors/actresses or that kind of stuff, but how do you feel when you finished watched it. Do you like it or not? Is it great, decent or such a let down?

Oh don't you worry, I know exactly what the term means. But I just thought Himura Kiseki did everything in blue anyway.

And talking of Blue Monday, not only did that original version what SVX posted come up in my Spotify shuffle, but when I changed playlists, the 1988 remake came up first too. You think it's trying to tell me something? Well, if it is, I'm gonna watch the Tawawa anime tonight. It won't even take an hour because of how the show is done, so if I can find one from somewhere I might as well give it a look.

Could be right that the artist simply like blue as his favorite color and use it to draw the color pallette and lines, but as an artist usually they want to show us a hidden message through their art and creations. Same thing would applied to manga artist, they have their own distinctive style delivering messages to audience and fans. Imo I think that what Himura Kiseki thought in his mind too.

So who's hyped for Le Mans this weekend?

Off topic but that Toyota is freaking quick! Hope for better luck with Toyota, they have to redeemed what happened last year... As for Porsche, well I'm not into them this year, probably because their new 919 doesn't look as good as last year lol. Everything can happen, but I wish for the best of them.

And hopefully we get some kind of Le Mans anime. That is something I would watch in the first place :D

Away from the topic of Supersonic Dragon Maid Kobayashi, something that I stumbled upon on Twitter;

This is one of those great examples of something that puts a fan on the fence. I get that the original Saint Tail had a very... thorough ending, but why isn't Tachikawa the one doing this? Fear that she lost her inspiration edge? Being too attached to the original cast of characters to just plomp new ones into the story? Or is just cool marketing of letting the fans do their thing for other fans?

And then there's of course the fans' side of things; wanting the old flame of the original Saint Tail (the character, not the series), but at the same time being fully aware that such can't really happen (especially with a new author). Regardless of whatever comes out of this, I just hope the chosen one can deliver a fun and joyful Saint Tail, in his/her own way with his/her own characters. That's all I'll ask...
