And what do you mean exactly when you say "made specifically for this"?
That's the case for the soundtrack CD.

You do know that with just the shape, and no color people wouldn't know what flavor it is? If it wasn't yellow or green, but was like white or black, I can guarantee you most people would be confused. So what makes the juice carton better than anime packaging? The packaging does more than just hold the the content; It eliminates the need to read what flavour it is (which eliminates any language barriers), it's appearance is outstanding and easily recognizable.. when you go buy things, you don't go up and read each name of the product in the aisle until you find the one you want, you usually will look for something on the packaging that's recognizable, in this case, a picture of the fruit flavour you want. No other packaging tries to transform the carton into the surface of the fruit itself, so before you even reach it, you'd have already noticed it.
Define "generic cover" from these. What ones are generic? I put in both R1 and R2 releases. It means that it's not a generic cover and it has a style befitting of the series.
LOL WHOOPS, DOUBLE POST.
Glad you remember!C-ZETA: nice Haruhi moments! although there is one who may be a real Haruhi, check our members' sigs more carefully...
Episode 9 of Guilty Crown was good, Shu didn't whine at all!
Also, that picture after the credits is so yummy

Right, I'm going to bed. I'll watch the last 4 episodes of Bebop tomorrow - which is when my broadband expires.
I take one little break from thread, and I come back to absolute madness.
What the hell, people?
Here's an example of what Dark is getting at:
Fixed, that wasn't the cover art FUNimation used in the end. Here's an example of what Dark is getting at:

Well, what ones are generic in my post, all of them? Many of those have art that was first seen only on the Japanese release, or even the America release. This art was entirely new when FUNimation released it.

Well what is there really to do there? Would you prefer everything to be like the 2.22 cover? While it's nice, it would be boring to see EVERYTHING released that way. There are about 3 types of generic covers there: protagonist only, main characters (4 of them show exactly 3 characters) and TTGL's is a perfect example of character cluster**** you can see in posters all around. All completely bland if you ask me.
Death Note's is the only one remotely interesting there, it kind of gives you an idea of antagonism between Light and L, which is after all exactly what the show is all about. It has at least some of a "specifically for this" feel to it.
Personally I really like the cover art I posted. There aren't many releases I'm not a fan of the artwork like these. What was FUNimation thinking? He's just someone (like me) who prefers a simple sleek design. I'm like this with most things.
Well you can't do a whole lot when it comes to anime. I mean, what do you think they could have done to make the Steins;Gate cover way better? I don't think of those as generic really.Yes, all of those were generic. I'm a bit partial to the Steins;Gate one thanks to the 001(referencing Okabe's lab number) and the grunge.

And here you go AOS.....
I really like those, they each correspond with a lab member and it maintains consistency 👍BTW, these are the other covers, 7-9 don't have final covers yet.

I'M WATCHING THIS TONIGHT
Also, I see consistency fairly often in the cover art on releases here. Look at the Naruto box sets (The newer ones, the 8 26 some episode ones.)
I'm just going to stop there because I feel you aren't ever going to understand what I'm getting at.
Cano: Madoka? really? it was good... but... really?
And here you go Sephy :3
