Kenshin is old, '96-'98, and yet it ranks #141/3776 at ANN, top 5%. So I have no problem accepting your disdain as an admission of your sometimes poor taste.

You can't really expect me to stand a suposed samurai anime with that kind of trash. It's a disgrace. And it's even worse after you've watched Trust and Betrayal. It really, deeply makes you wonder why they killed the TV series in such a way.

BTW, if you can't handle the anime, why not try the manga? Manga is usually better than the anime adaption that's based off of it.

I don't know what it is, but that's how it usually is. Might be due to how manga is exponentially more popular than anime. And no Loli, once again, if anime was way cheaper in Japan, it still wouldn't be more popular.

Heck, even Samurai Champloo. You know how it had a slight dose of comedy but it wasn't stupid-ass stuff like Kenshin had. And lets not forget the absolutely annoying characters. ALL. OF. THEM.

Also on the subs over dubs thing, personally for me I like both subs and dubs. I'll sometimes lean over on one side, but for the most part, I like them both equally.

Maybe I cant in "logical terms", but I will because I watched the OVA first, then the anime began airing here and I thought "sweet". When I really saw what it was like, I vomited. You'd assume that they would have had the OVA story at least thought up whenever they released the anime.

So you're saying, the original Mangaka had this good thing going, and then he distilled from it something truly great, T&B. Sounds about right. So T&B couldn't exist without the storyline which is the basis of the series.

The Japanese release date of the volumes containing those chapters (Around a year after the chapters were put in Weekly Shonen Jump.)

Volume 21: July 3, 1998

Edit: Just got that Spring 2011 Season to deal with. ANN didn't put a list out for that season for some reason, and Anime-Planet for whatever reason lists a show on the list multiple times if it's referred to different names.

Kurisu's back, Moeka isn't up to evil stuff anymore, the time machine BS stopped, CHHYEEAAAHH BOIIIII

Although to be honest, the way Okabe saved Kurisu was kinda... awkward. I never thought acting like Houoin Kyouma would work. But it's the only way, I guess. Stuff that happens were, umm, unfitting, but all led to an ending I asked for.

Next up, Cowboy Bebop.
