I like how they are only sketches, even with the coloring, they are sketchy at best, but its a very good technique with photoshop. also, good way to do skeletons.

Long time no post in this thread! Anyway, Akira is about to come on Encore Action channel and I'm going to go watch it. Again. For the 5th time.

Thats a great work LoneWolfe, that pic is so good! I consider you as an expert, compared to me. Keep up the good work!

i was sure that i stated above that wasnt my image, that is just an idea i'm trying out, i posted my first work either in here or the anime girl thread, i'm not sure, but anyway i'm no expert, i'm way far from that :P kirkis is the expert. I finished inking my image and base coloring it, ack i'm ready to scrap it, the face is horrible, the rest is fine and i have high hopes for, but the face *shudders*

Just thought you guys would all like to know that some bread and butter is back on the tube...

cn, adult swim... the bebop is back.

Of course, for some thats not a good thing (with seeing the entire series a dozen times you might get tired of it) but Im sure someone here isn't tired of it, hence the notice.

Enjoy it, for it really is an awesome show.

I never get tired of Bebop (: its too fun
unfortunately, cartoon network LA doesnt have an "adult swim" stuff nor anything like that, most anime we get here is... Inu Yasha and DBZ -__- so, bleh.
but then again, I need to get back my bebop VHSs from my girl :irked:

Any of you go to any conventions? Just wondering.

-Yeah I watched the movie (Cowboy Bebop), but the movie feels too short to watch.

-No, theres none any here in Las Vegas.

I finally watched Akira for the first time, and my thought is, it sucked. I know, I know, I've been hearing this is such a badass anime and ****, but it seems like it leaves more stuff out then Neon Genisis. The ending doesn't make me want to go on the internet and find out what the hell it meant, though with NGE I wasted countless hours reading people's theories of the movie. Akira equals bad!

Akira sucks:tdown:

i agree, akira sucks, but not because of story or anything, it was because of the the damn blob thing he turns into, nothing grosses me out more than stuff like that, same reasoning why i dont like princess mononoke.

hahaha, the blob rules. when he blows his girlfriend inside him... oohhh damn, so gross! and his arm!!! aah, yeah, I love that part. And I agree with stratos, Akira si somewhat Abstract and pretty bizarre, and it leaves much to you because that was what Otomo wanted. you can say whatever you want about the ending, it may be wrong or you may have created a better version of Akira than Otomo ever did. all in all, I love that movie.

Akira hit an awesome chord with me. Im an older brother and my relationship with my younger brother is very different than most due to my fathers death at my age of 7.

With the relationship between tetsuo and kaneda, I was truely touched, and so, I really do love the movie Akira.

It was one of my very first animes and it still is one of my favorites to date.

Based on my experiences, the manga version has a very different storylines compared to the anime version. Like 'Great Teacher Onizuka', there is one of the main character (the nurse) that didn't include in the anime version.

yeah, that happens a lot. in fact few mangas have been "literally" translated to anime sucessfully. lets not remember the failures that were, for example, Angel Sanctuary, or the spiff that was Battle angel Alita, such an impressively good manga, such an impressively bad anime. In other cases, stuff changes. In Rayearth, for example, the anime gets three extra characters and different endings than the manga, but in its case, both work very well (:

and yes, DO read the Akira manga, it explains a whole lot more, and its cool to hell.

I will look for it, BTW how much is it? It sounds expensive if you asked me.

I watched the two types of Initial D series (one from the crappy Tokyopop, and one from the underground version), and the I read the manga (of course from Tokyopop). The storylines are very different.

Yup, I'd rather see them go out of business. Too bad they hold so many good titles/series.
