The general WHAT IN THE WORLD is going on in Canada?

That couldn't be more right.
FTFY.

If that's all you got, that Harper supports the only enduring Democracy and free country in the entire Middle East, completely surrounded by dictators, kings, princes and wingnuts of various kinds that want nothing more than to wipe them off the face of the planet, then you got nothing.

I went over that with you before, and you still haven't replied to my last post about it.

Typical Harper tactic to continue to beat a point, then sidestep any questioning about it.

Your response was mostly opinion, you can't argue with opinions. My original point still stands. I don't care how able Israel is to support themselves, I don't care if they have nukes (Iran will shortly so it'll even the odds in that regard)and others don't and I don't care about petty land squabbles. I want to support democracy and I think Canada should support that island of democracy in a sea of dictators.

Even if that democracy is a nasty and bloody one? Okay there....

When they begin public stonings and beheadings, gassing their own people, not having open elections, and openly proclaiming that they want to wipe all Arabs off the face of the earth, gimme a call. They live in the most violent region on the planet, you don't expect them to survive without bloodying a few noses do you?

Oh, you mean the country that steals land? Yeah, that one.

You mean the land they were granted following WW2 by an international committee? Because that is a bit different than stealing.

Today I learned all Muslims are Arabs. The more you know.

Not too sure the Palestinians, who were already there, agreed to it. Admittedly, I am not at all well versed on Israel, but I do not approve of their treatment of, and application of human rights towards, Palestinians nor do I approve of their deception on the subject of nuclear weapons.

But for a Canada thread, it's steering a bit off-topic.

I said I was gone, and still am.

But, don't take *my* thread about *my* country off-topic and starr talking about some grumpy old countries. God, all the old things (people, cars, countries) seem so pedantic and grumpy.

So you "left" GTP (which you did not consequently by posting now) without closing "your" threads?

Yet here you are. Lol.

You started this thread, but that does not grant you ownership of it. It's up to the mods, not you, to control the direction the thread takes.

Yeah, I guess I do sound like a grumpy old man :D

Don't post threads for *us* to contribute in on *our* forum.

It's like a rash that just won't go away. If you're leaving, leave. We're all sick of your absolutely pathetic cries for attention, and you do nothing but embarrass yourself when you get cross that nobody gives a damn about you. Maybe us not giving a damn about you reflects on how you present yourself? Or when you talk about your so incredibly short-sighted and idealistic plans for the future, and the rest of us offer advice that might help, you get so pissed off seemingly because we don't agree with you or hold a different opinion to you. Like... a child.

Frankly, I'm amazed that when you were deliberately looking for a ban, you didn't get one. Mods like to play by the rules, but the forum would be a much better place if you were gone, whether through your own choice or not.

Canada thread in the off-topic section is ironically off-topic when talking about things related to Canadian news. Seems right.

So, is this some sort of meta way of discussing the general hypocrisy found in modern Canadian politics? Leading by example?

...

Regardless of Justin's legitimacy - and I do question it, especially with the girlfriend being a strong supporter for very few political reasons I can easily see - he does have a point about the attack-ad approach. The mud-flinging approach to our political campaigns is getting old and surprisingly more American.

Then why can I close it?
A better question would be why you can only close it - or take any other posting action you wish - so long as we agree that you can... This should demonstrate why it's not your thread.
And, yeah, I'm here for one racing series. One.
I was unaware this was a racing series thread. I can move it to the racing series forum if you like?

Since when do mods want off-topic?

Back to topic: Canada.

Since when do mods want off-topic?
When moderating, never. Since you asked a site procedure question, answering it as a member of staff isn't off topic - though of course the original question could be considered to be off topic. Since you claim to be gone but are still posting, that's an AUP issue. Since you claim to be here for only one racing series but are still posting outside that thread, that's an AUP issue.

Are we done here, or is there still some growing up you need to do?

Does milk really come in bags? How the hell can your pour from a bag?

The bags are about 1.3L (sold in 3 packs for 4L). You put them in a plastic holder that looks like this:

And then cut the corner of the bag opposite the handle with a pair of scissors. It actually works quite well. The bag only extends about 5-10cm above the top of the holder and all the liquid weight is at the bottom for a stable pouring experience. Not too bad eh?

Of course, you can buy it in cartons or jugs, bags are usually cheaper though.

I hate it when someone puts a bag in but fails to bang the bottom of the jug to seat the bag all the way in, then in the middle of pouring the top 1/3rd of the bag flips over and milks goes everywhere :grumpy: ...yes, we really have it hard up here in Canada.
