Would anyone be opposed to me flip-flopping the schedule so the Tatuus at Melbourne is the next event and the Alfa 155 would be after that? I had originally planned to go to Melbourne the same weekend as the F1 race but it crept up on me quicker than I expected and I already had the Alfa scheduled on that weekend. We'll still have over a week and a half to get practiced up so hopefully that wouldn't be an issue.

Zandvoort with the Formula Renault would be just ace, me thinks.

I think I have another car lined up for Zandy, tested it there last night and was pretty pleased with it. :sly: The Renault will likely find itself in Italy.

Well I can't think of a car that doesn't go with Zandy. Such an awsome track. For the Renault, not a bad combo whatever the italian track though.

At first I didn't know what to think of it but I've grown to quite like it. In certain cars the fast run up the hill sometimes makes me s*** my pants though! :nervous:  It's a fun track to hot lap with, one of those tracks that makes you feel like you're going somewhere on a country cruise.

May I recommend using Macau one week?

(Don't worry, I'm kidding. I would never put you all through something like that. :P)

I've never seen Macau available on RD or the AC forum? I stick to the "legit" mods so if it can't be found on one of those two sites we won't be using it.

Yea, I didn't get it off if either. It's not a bad mod, though.

Was this Italian circuit you speak of Mugello by chance? I think that circuit coupled with the Renault is amazing.

Either that or Monza, with the 288 GTO going to the one the Renault doesn't go to. The Renault is good at both, the GTO is a bit more fun at Mugello.

I have to admit, I've had Albert Park for a little while now, but never bothered to learn it. I think I did a single lap (if you can call it that) when I first got it to look at the quality, but then I didn't go back to it. Because of this I thought I'd better actually learn it today. Set out with the Formula Abarth and the mini map and started getting a feel for it. So far with the stock setup I've just managed to get under the 2 minute mark with a 1:59.5. There is a bit of time left for me I think, maybe a high 58 but I think that'd be me. I'm guessing the fast guys will come and get 55s, such is the type of car and track, it's a little wasted in my novice hands.

I first encountered it in Race07. I knew DTM raced there so I have it a go. Instant crush. It was fantastic. That run up is so scary but so satisfying. It's firmely in top 5 tracks.

Is the Fulvia out?! It one of my most awaited mods. It looked fantastic!

This weekend I may do a little shakedown with next week combo, just for fun, since I won't be able to make it to the race unfourtunately

Couple laps practice is all I had time for, and I think I was on a 2:03 lap but then crashed. :) So I've not yet reached your level of "novice". ;)

@BrandonW77 will you be running any practice races on Sat at the normal time?

Tried the Fulvia and seemed like it wasn't as fun as the Alfa GTA.

This was a pretty fun track though: http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/great-wall.7155/ Especially with this very-much-more-forgiving version of the Miata: http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/mazda-mx-5-global-cup-v1-01.9068/

Planning on a practice session, yet. But the server is up 24/7 so you guys can jump in for practice any time.

I forgot to try the Lancia last night, will give it a go this evening. In my experience mod cars are always a little less fun than Kunos cars but some can still be very enjoyable.

I'll have to have another go with that MX-5. My concern with it is that apparently the graphics aren't very optimized which could maybe cause issues when racing with a group online?

I had neglected to list the tire restrictions for the upcoming events, both the Tatuus and Alfa 155 will be on Medium tires.

@Wiz was kind enough to put a skin pack together for the Tatuus since it doesn't have many liveries available. If you want to use/see the skins on the server you'll just need to drop this in your content/cars/tatuus/skins folder. If you don't care to use/see the skins you don't need to do anything (everything will work fine, but you'll only see the default skins). I'll also put the link in the OP.

Fun or not fun is a matter of opinion. It is a good match to race against the Alfa GTA though. There are a few servers up running the two cars currently.

The Lancia is IMO as good a quality car as the Alfa; graphics, sounds, and physics, it is a complete package. It is FWD without a clever differential and drives accordingly.

The new MX-5 is 500K triangles with no LODs. Get a few on track and it will be a slideshow.

The Lancia is good, if I didn't know it wasn't a Kunos car I'm not sure I'd suspect otherwise. Probably the oddest behaving FWD I've driven, but it seemed to be within reason. It has almost no desire to wag its tail, but has a bit of a fetish for torque steer. It would be much more fun if it was RWD but it's fun and has a lot of character.

Just a head's up, Murica is having its time change Saturday evening, losing one hour. The rest of the world doesn't change their clocks for another couple weeks, which will mean the Melbourne race would be one hour earlier for you guys and I know for at least a couple of you that probably won't work. I don't think there would be any major problem with pushing the start time back one hour (6:30 instead of 5:30, which would keep it at the usual spot for non-Muricans) if it means more people can attend. I think the rest of you will have changed your clocks before the Imola race so everything should be back to normal by then.

What say you?

6:30 works for me as well.

My latest tune is attached. Gears might be different from tune & video but everything else is the same. This tune should allow you to attack the course a little more aggressively. Aim for those corner entry rumble strips!
