My new aluminium profile three monitor stand turned up earlier this week but unfortunately some pieces were incorrect and I won't have replacements until Wednesday. I'd already dismantled my temporary setup and so haven't been able to use my sim rig at all so not done any practice so far. Hopefully everything turns up correctly on Wednesday and I can race next weekend.

Just a head's up, Murica is having its time change Saturday evening, losing one hour. The rest of the world doesn't change their clocks for another couple weeks, which will mean the Melbourne race would be one hour earlier for you guys and I know for at least a couple of you that probably won't work. I don't think there would be any major problem with pushing the start time back one hour (6:30 instead of 5:30, which would keep it at the usual spot for non-Muricans) if it means more people can attend. I think the rest of you will have changed your clocks before the Imola race so everything should be back to normal by then.

What say you?
In Queensland we don't change our clocks at all. Whatever you choose should work for me regardless, as it's in the morning for me.

Speaking of which, is anyone doing practice this morning? What time? I could join in for a bit I think.

Man, this little car is fun, especially with the Formula rim. Track is great too. If we get a good crowd next week I think this could be as fun as the Cavalier race. 👍 Best I got was a 1:58.7, not sure if I have a :57 in me.

Since there was no real protest, for the next event only I've pushed the starting time back by one hour to 6:30pm Eastern to accommodate the time change. The following event at Imola will be back to our normal time since Europe will have moved their clocks by then. @Punknoodle will have to get up an hour earlier from now on since he lives in a sensible place that doesn't screw with their clocks. On Saturday I'll try to post a few hours before the race with a "Qualifying will start X hours from now" notification to make sure everyone will be up to date.

Watched a bit of FP1 from Melbourne this morning, pretty cool watching them go around and being able to know where they are on the course and have a basic idea of how they approach certain turns. That's one of my favorite parts of sim racing, before I watch a real race I'll go jump on the rig and go do some laps around that track with the same car (or something similar) to get a feel for what they're doing and how they're doing it, makes me feel more immersed/informed when I'm watching the real race on tv.

Hoping for a good show tomorrow, if we get a good crowd I think it will be quite fun. I like this track more and more as I put more laps on it, digging the Tatuus too.

Have fun guys, I know I'll be!

Sonuva........ Really wish we had that track in AC. I'd love to visit Sebring one day, but it's pretty far away so not sure if/when it will happen. Daytona 24 would take priority if I'm going to travel that far. I am planning to step up my race attendance this year though. I know I'll be at IMS every weekend in May (GP, practice, quals, Carb Day, and the 500) and for the Vintage weekend in mid-June, and I'm also planning to go watch IndyCar race at Road America. Thinking about going back to Mid-Ohio too, it's only 3-4 hours away and a great place to spend the weekend. I need to get my butt down to Indianapolis Raceway Park (or whatever it's called now) to catch some sprint/midget/super late model races too, it's only 45 minutes away so I really have no excuse for not going. The day/night before the 500 they usually have a huge bill of racing with junior formula cars, sprints/midgets, etc, really need to go check that out this year too.

Dat Porsche tho........

Well my triple monitor mount turned up and is all set up, solid as a rock, need to fine tune it for perfection now. However, I'm not sure I'm going to be racing tomorrow night, I'll be up early tomorrow, 6.00am, to watch F1 qualifying and then have a very busy day tomorrow and then need to be up at 4.30 am on Sunday to watch the F1 race so the thought of getting to bed at about 12.30 am and having only 4 hours sleep is not so appealing at the moment. Will see how I feel tomorrow. May just jump on for the first race. So I may see you guys tomorrow but if I don't I hope you all have a great race and lots of fun.

Totally understandable. I have to DVR everything because it's at like 2:00 am our time. I get up early when they're on at a sensible time but the Asia/Australia races are in the middle of the night, except Singapore. Usually they start around 8:00am, sometimes a little earlier.

OK let me get this straight, for this week, your clock is moving forward by an hour, so you are moving the race back to 6.30 your time, but because your clock has moved forward, there will be no change for me this week. However, in 2 weeks time it's going to be back at 5.30 your time, as other zones would have done the time change too, but because my time zone doesn't change I'll be an hour earlier?

I'm glad my clock doesn't change. If it did it would be moving the other way as I'm in the southern hemisphere which would make it a 2 hour change

I believe that is correct, I'm still waiting for NASA to get back with the final analysis though. I think everything should stay steady for Europeans, they won't notice a change this week or any following weeks.

Hey everyone! I won't be able to make it most likely since I haven't had the time to practice with this week's combo. I hope you guys have a good time!

Soooo agree! 👍

I've tried some random mod version, but the fps goes pretty low. I tried to learn the track before heading out, but the missing map made that a bit hard. That led me to believe that the entire track was flat, but there are some subtle ups and downs in key places. (Turn 7 and Turn 10)
