This just happened in our weekly league race.
We were driving the Lotus 72D at Imola. Start time of the race was 13H00.
There were 2 weather slots going from clear to random. The race was 1 hour long and weather progression was set to 2x.

During the race the weather changed from clear to fog with rain.
The track became completely wet and the track temperature dropped from 42C to 23C.

Some guys pitted and changed to wets while others decided to brave a few more laps on the slicks.

Well, the guys on the slicks were way faster than those on the wets for the full duration of the rain.
They just stayed on the slicks.
The wet tyres overheated and just had no grip.
The guys who had changed to wets pitted in the rain and changed back to slicks to be competitive.

Surely this is not correct? I would have expected the guys on slicks to be sliding all over once the track was completely wet.

"Advanced tyre model" so advanced it defies the laws of physics lol

Night time start
Drivers car was Bentley GT3
Was right hand drive cockpit and driving the whole race...
Came into pits due to damage lap 6
Came out - spun hit wall bad driving - abandoned race
Hit replay to see Bannichbrae at night
And all of the sudden I'm driving the Aston Martin GT4 car
(My curren career car) in the replay - left hand drive - same damage to "Bentley"
Left race
Leaderboard showed me driving the Aston...

Since the latest update. the game is crashing alot for me on ps4.Is anybody else getting this ? or perhaps a solution ? got to the point of going back on star wars

I've got just one game crash in more than 100 Hours...
It's just like the invisible walls that @svenvangent suffers...

And i didn't got any never...

i just don't can understand why the game is full of bugs, issue's or crashes and other don't suffer anything just like me... Problem with some copies of the game or what's causing the difference...

It's not a problem with copies of the game, you're just lucky. Everyone seems to suffer from different amounts of different bugs, the game is just poorly coded.

Had a freeze today, Career mode GT3 Brno. Lap 18 of 19, the game froze up, pretty much the same as what usually happens right before it crashes, but this time no crash, game was just frozen, sound frozen (engine making a constant noise at same rpm), and wheel trying to turn to one side. Had to turn off wheel and exit game with PS button.

Kind of annoying when this kind of thing happens right at the end of a race

Seems there's a new bug too, right rear tyre just loses its HUD color completely, turns gray after the first laps and you get a 'pit in' message, but if you look at the tyre from an external view it seems completely fine.

Had it happening on lap 1 of a race yesterday (luckily).

Tyre bug on the new bmw 2002 stanceworks, one tyre jumped to 350 in the first lap, happened twice on two different tracks, the car was uncontrollable.

Testing a set up for the Radbull MX5 for someone I ran into a bug where one of the front wheels sometimes turns right around the steering knuckle 180 degrees. It then sits backwards, facing inside the car, and you can't get it to come back around. When it does this the steering hardly does anything, presumably because the physics aren't made to deal with a wheel spinning right around lol. Looks funny, but would be a real pain if it happened during a race.

Anyone done a night time endurance in the BMW M3 GT4? I'm doing the GT4 UK Trophy and the headlights cant be any brighter than one of those pedal bike dynamo lights I saw back in the day..if that..Silverstone at dawn..pitch black track for first 2 laps..ended up using the AI driver after pitting as I was fed up skidding around on grass..in the dark.

Glitches I've experienced since last patch

-offline practice
-Ruapuna Pk GP
-Ford Falcon FG V8SC
-Engine acceleration noise not existent,

-online multiplayer
-Mt Panorama Bathust
- Mercedes Benz SLS GT3
- engine acceleration noise non existent

-random reoccurring issue,
- when I enter any session offline or online where I'm required to leave the pit garage for the session, occasionally the "spotter" wont get out of the way to let me drive

- Renault car pack issue
- since the Renault car pack came out and only with the Renaults I've experienced weird heavy wheel FFB rattle at medium to high speeds, its at its worst with the Formula Renault, I use a T500 and all my FFB settings are standard in calibration and car,

This is my most frequent bug, it happens all the time. Pretty much what ever game mode I'm in, If I go to the garage to change some settings, and then go to drive, roughly 7 times out of 10 this bug will happen, and I have to hit start -> go to pits, and try again. Been getting this consistently since day one.

Had a crash to home screen tonight. Went to load an old replay to take some photos and it never loaded, just crashed to the error report screen. The replay was a 2 hour Le Mans replay, which was recorded on an earlier version (5.0 I think), so maybe it has something to do with one of those factors.

Also, how have I not noticed how good the Formula A is to hotlap with in practice mode?!? I only ever used it in career against the brain dead AI, which prevented me from really enjoying the car. I did a heap of hotlapping around Monaco, which was a blast, and then switched to Bathurst, which is awesome fun in the FA. Give it a try if you haven't already 👍

If I could map a button to RESTART SESSION I would...
Been lucky with crashes in PS4.. IN 40 or so seasons only CTD about five times.
If the open wheel in this game was matched with a superior AI and CAREER it could exist as a killer game in itself.

Hey i purchased the game and owned it for a week last year and had no problems also. They only started AFTER I installed and played it. So, my fault really.. Give the devs a break!

Me too! You don't need to install straight after purchase. You can wait as long as you want to enjoy a bugless ps4 experience.. I waited until I replaced the hard drive with an ssd so I could have faster game session starts, exits and restarts. That came in very handy for the latter...

Finally got Hall of Fame after too many seasons to count! Accepting a 125cc kart career wiped...

Even when you COMPLETE the game, there's a bug to remind you something's still rotten in the state of Denmark..

This 🤬 game...I just hosted my first two online sessions. Caldwell park, the short track, with Escorts. Mandatory pitstop. on BOTH pit stops in each race my car was limited to 10mph for the next lap until i either pitted again or bizarrely the second time (lost patience) cut the track..yeh right when i CUT the track my car fired up again.
Feel bad for the one good guy who was 1 sec faster than me I was racing well against who must have thought I was an 🤬.
Project Cars 2?!? I'm still waiting for Project Cars 1.0

Drivers aids are programed disabled in the lobby rules. But with the keyboard you can activate all the aids on track..
