Check this baby out. 1,100 cubic inch (18 liter), all aluminum, DOHC, 4 bolt main, forged piston with a billet steel rotating mass HEMI V8 engine straight from Ford. This puppy powered the WWII Sherman tanks and M26 Pershing......LOPE ANYONE?????????

525hp, 1,031lbs-ft torque, 200lb raw block, revs to 3,800 with the governor off it. The best thing is the torque curve is flat all the way through the RPM range. People put this in '80s Ford pickups and, believe it or not, get around 5-7 MPG with it. My smallblock 351 gets that. It's also common because it actually weighs less than a 460 or equivalent diesel in the engine bay, with a snow plow mounted on it.
