They sound nice:tup: but I'm amazed you never heard the term lazy v8 before. Maybe it's just a term Europeans use.

Here's a clip of an AE86 with a loud exhaust, so you can hear the difference in sound between intake and exhaust.

I think the v8 in this mustang sounds decent.

Yeah I've never heard it, unless someone is knocking them which isn't true. I jsut really like that idle sound, it makes everything just sound so mean =P

I think I see what you are talking about now 👍

Heres another for ya. Needs a bit of work.

I don't think it's really knocking, it just refers to the characteristics of those v8 engines you like. It doesn't mean slow or low powered, lazy as in it never sounds like it's working hard, maybe effortless power. That's how I always thought about it anyway.

I think I see what you are getting it. Given what they sound like to a trained ear it is easy to hear those under load =P

Who says big blocks can't rev? Listen to this Ford 482 pull 9,500rpm

Lies only honda's can do that :scared:

Add "reliably" there and you're right. That Ford V8 is so full of racing spec parts that with the price of it you could probably get a Boss 302 Laguna Seca.. or whatever that track Mustang is called.

That motor admittably was built for one purpose, truck pulls. Still pretty cool. I wouldn't say it's quite that expensive though.

That is a termi, so its way different than the V8s Slashfan posted, its DOHC 281ci with a factory Supercharger.
Bahahaha Good ole officer dan, hes a good friend of mine awesome driver.

Slashfan..do i get the sense you like fords:sly:

Yeah those engines are not even close to being the same.

Soooo it looks like we've got a new car to keep an eye on.

According to Youtube, this thing has been running since at least February this year.

I saw that the other day. Insane.

But my god what and engine. 1.5 liters, 16 cylinders, 12,000RPM and a supercharger to top it off....

The BRM is purely incredible. It's basically 93cc per cylinder, impressive performance for it's time, and possibly one of the most scariest sounds of an engine ever

Why can't we have these back?! :(
