Little video I put together of my friends new Dodge Cummins! This thing has around 600 horsepower and 1,000 ft lbs of torque!

What has he done to it? 600rwhp is hard to get from the 24 Valve Cummins with the VP44 and if he does he'd have one of the highest horsepower VP trucks in North America. I've been around the B series Cummins for over a decade now and it doesn't sound nor look like a 600rwhp truck to me.

Still, it is pretty nice. Anymore videos of it?

He just bought it on Saturday it came with work done to it. After I had filmed it, he said he wasn't even going full throttle. I don't think it has been on a dyno, so the power is just estimates.

I know nothing about diesel trucks, but Ive heard you can get power out of them pretty easily.

If the truck isn't compound turbocharged with a shot of nitrous, I'd be willing to bet it isn't 600rwhp. It would have to have a highly modified injection pump, cam, injectors, box, clutch, turbos and lift pump to get near there. The VP44 is a good pump but it doesn't make nearly as much power as the P7100 found in the '94-'98 12 Valve Cummins.

The B series Cummins is extremely easy to make power from. My truck for example, a '91 12 Valve Cummins, literally takes a screwdriver to add more fuel to the injection pump and almost doubling the horsepower to the rear wheels. A 24 valve like you friend has just requires a box to be hooked up because they are electronically injected rather than mechanically like a 12 valve.

Also, make sure your friend's truck has a new or good condition lift pump on that truck. The VP44 injection pump requires fuel to keep it cool and the stock lift pumps are notorious for going bad which leads to the VP44 overheating and dying. He really needs a fuel pressure gauge (if he doesn't have one) to keep en eye on that lift pump otherwise he'll be spending a few grand to replace the injection pump and the lift pump.

And you'd be correct, that is a 6 Liter Chevy LT1 Small block in the bonnet of a Marcos Mantara LM600 Evo.

I knew it was a small block but I wasn't sure if it was a 350, 400 or LT1. I figured it was probably newer but was unsure. I know my V8's pretty good
