From what I can see, your save doesn't have the t_key_value table which is what's needed for the DLC persisting trick to work. Your t_garage table is also missing the invalid column which basically is set to true when you have a DLC car in garage while not allowed to use it (the yellow exclamation mark). I went ahead and checked my own saves from every version and it seems like both of these things were added in the 2.02 version and your save is from 2.01 version. So I believe if you update your game to 2.02 -> save your game -> try again, it should work.

That said, I would really recommend updating all the way to the 2.11 patch because there's more content there and it's all around the best version for modding.
Oh, you must be the creator of this? Appreciate your help.

hmmmmm okay. But number 1, where do I go to update the game? Game data Utility on the PS3 menu or do I just go to the game itself, press triangle button and "Check for update"? And then you're making sound like I can just choose what version to update to. Am I able to do that? Cause i'll just choose 2.11 if that's the case.

Something else I could add is his editor was designed with 2.11 in mind since that's what most people use with save editors these days. Also, by update 2.11, all the DLC for GT5 had already been released, so you'll be able to get all of them if you update to that version.
But number 1, where do I go to update the game?
Provided you're connected to the internet, a prompt should come up as soon as you boot the game. It has to install each update manually though and you'll have to let it install a few updates until it reaches 2.11. At some point, you'll have to stop it, but right now I don't know exactly where you would, you might have to just check your game data utility until you get there.

ahhhh okay. Let me know when you figure out where I should stop it because this is my very first time doing this and I don't wanna mess up anything.

It's been years since I've booted a PS3 but I'm assuming the patches are still downloadable. And if I remember right, they game just asks for you to update when you boot it. But of course you need to be online for it to work. It seems like Sonygamer already replied as well. I can't remember how exactly it kept updating either but I do remember you can stop updating when it has installed 2.11. Whether it asks you before it starts updating to the next version or not, I can't remember. Just make sure you do not install the 2.12 version because that's the version when they added the hybrid resetting (you don't want that).

" I can't remember how exactly it kept updating either but I do remember you can stop updating when it has installed 2.11. Regardless if you can't remember I'm starting to picture how this is going to go down. Thanks

Doing a little math, in your case, once you reach the 10th update you install, that's where you can press circle to back out of the rest of the update prompt. Once you do, check your game data utility and see what version you're on now. If it says 2.11, you're good to go!

I GOT THE TRACK!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?!?!? LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! OMG you have no idea how LONG i've been wanting this track to finally come INTO MY LIFE! I am so freaking happy rn. Massive shoutout to you Sony, the creator of this and Pez for helping me out. You Sony & and the creator ESPECIALLY are GOATED for bringing this entire method to life. Thank you all SO MUCH! I will forever enjoy this and will add more from the editor to my game in the near future.

P.S I noticed the race finish music is different. That's interesting. Also I experienced no problems with the editor at all. That error was gone. :))))))

I am glad you got it working and you got what you came for too! :) I guess what we can take away from this is the error you received was due to you being on an old version of GT5 that the editor wasn't made for. Along with that, that version of GT5 lacked a file in the save data that the editor needed in order to work, and not just Razerman's editor either, slim & q-k's editor also had issues loading your save because of this. I guess what matters now though is you are on the version of GT5 it needed and everything is working now. 👍

Somehow on version 2.01 I managed to get the racing car pack involving the X2011, but I guess you can't get any DLC you want. So it is highly recommended to have version 2.11 which makes a ton of sense for many reasons. But yep after all these years of me wanting Route X ever since I saw it from yt videos (GT5 NASCAR at Route X) & (GT5 X2010 at Route X) from 2012 I finally got it!

I am not sure how you got the racing car pack to work on that update to be honest, but yea 2.11 is the place to be with GT5. Earlier updates lack some great content and the newer ones were just a huge regression with nothing worthwhile being added later on.

I haven't really been playing with 2.01 patch so I don't know for sure but I have a theory which I'm pretty confident is correct. Clicking the install button just adds the cars as tickets (as would happen with the in-game DLC installation click as well). Now the invalidity checks for the cars you are not supposed to have was added in 2.02 patch and therefore in 2.01 patch just adding the cars would allow you to play with them. After 2.02 patch it requires the "Persist DLC's without a license" and the entitlement things to be added.

Thanks for reporting the issue, I'll notify the creator, however I should note he lives in Finland and I think it's late where he lives right now, so it may be a bit before he responds.

Only thing I know to ask right now is, do you have any cars in your garage?

Red Bull x2010 JP Flag Color
is there any way to go back now that ive updated version? i guess its only missing out on one car if i stay on 2.17 so not that big a deal, was just following the tutorial from 2020, the rest of the dlc would be nice though, need to try figure out this error message

If you go into the game data and delete GT5's game data, you can then redownload the patches until you reach something like 2.11.

The choice is yours if you want to do this though, you can still get all the other DLC cars on your current update. (besides the JP Flag Color anyhow) Though for the time being, I recommend staying on 2.17 in case the creator needs to know more.

The creator will know, unfortunately, I don't have an answer right now.

Good. I wanted to make sure you had some cars in your garage because it's necessary for any garage editor to work.

Did you make a back up of your save before opening it in the editor?

Will stay on 2.17 at least until we can sort this all out, all the other dlc cars are more than good enough.

thats okay man i really appreciate your help for the time being.

Yep made a backup and have played the save since and seems to work fine. Thank you :)

if we do need to delete my save for some reason tho its not the end of the world, only started playing tonight for a few hours

Okay then. :)

You're welcome and thanks again for reporting this.

Keep that backup handy because if the creator needs to investigate the issue, he'll probably need that backup in order to figure out what it is. Having before and after saves has helped a lot in the past.

I should note, a majority of the problems people have reported with this editor have been mostly user error and I can only recall 1 time where the editor was actually at fault, so I have a feeling whatever it is should be easily solved. It might not be until tomorrow before we have the answer though.
