Did they not think perhaps that making it so you can only drive cars that are of equal or lower level to your A-Spec might stop noobs duping X2010s and FGTs more effectively than this?

There is a problem that I can see there is that if you do it by level you can get a x2010 at level 30 by completing the challenge but cant buy it till level 40!!!!!
But yeah I would like some thing else as at the moment my son has done a trade today which has ****** me up as I cant send anything till tomorrow!!!!
Oh well.......
PD need to sort out some thing.... 10 slots per day traders have to be stoped some how!!! but dont put the legit traders down!!!!!
Yes I have 2 accounts and my son has 1 too. ( NOT ALLOWED TO TOUCH HIS!!!!!! or it would be my head!!!)
Come on guys 1 trade a ps3 per day is no good.... 1 per day per account limited to say 5 accounts is acceptable????????
Perhaps we could work out whats needed!!!!!
 
Yeah, 5 trades a day per console sounds good. Plus 25 paints. Bascially what is was before the downdate v1.07. Lol.

And with regard for the X2010 level issue, why not making it a level 30 car then reward people for getting to level 40 by giving them the option to buy another? It's beyond me.

Yeah I can see the problems!!!!! But what we have now is not a solution!!!!
 
I don't think PD realizes how difficult they are making it for us to enjoy cars we will never lay eyes on in person.

I wouldn't hold your breath, PD doesn't strike me as a customer focused company. Correction, a customer focused person; I think it's pretty obvious by now that all the decisions come from the top down. I don't think a few hundred (thousand?) unhappy customers is going to change his mind.

GT5 has been a strange set of dichotomies from the very beginning. This "strategy" seems to fit right in:
  • Great graphics, lousy damage modeling
  • Great race physics, lousy collision physics
  • A phenomenal collection of cars, and no way to collect them!
 
hey not sure if all know this already, but i just read the gt5 news section in the game and Polyphony have lifted the value restrcition until March 3!! it is due to the fact they didn't give us any warning.

So trade the big ticket cars ASAP :-)
 
I swear I never seen so many little girls complain because they can't cheat! From Having multiple game files for car cloning to other forms of cheating it's really ridiculous! In other games you can't trade cars at all but you kick up this fuss over this?

Perhaps we want to trade any car because there are so many to get....
As per my posts before I would like it set in a way that each user can trade a car a day.... Because I am not the ony person that plays my ps3.... My son and my daughter have an account....
If my son does a trade then I cant... Would like some thing done to sort this out.... How ever I am against People that have lots of accounts for trading...
I have my main account and 1 Trade account the idea being that I can always have cars with low mileage.... I am not a person with 10 slots a day ect......
I am against that...
I normally only done 1 trade a day at the most....
 
Do you not think that all the 'cheating' has been done though? The game has been out for 3 months and 3 days now, that gives people 95 trades to dupe cars. There's only 76 cars that are worth over 1 million credits, so in theory people could've already gotten every car that is now banned by duping. Yes, they've shut the stable door but the horses bolted a long time ago. And they've not just shut the stable door, they've shuttered it up and written '**** off' all over it.

Also, it's not a case of not having trading. It's a case of it being taken away so abruptly after months of building up communities and routines around it. It's like reaching 18 years of age and your parents' saying, 'right, that's your childhood over, goodbye' and kicking you out.

But of course this new 'edict' is a trainwreck of an idea....

Wrong.....a lot of us are car fanatics. I for one love Rx-7s.....there are 8 of those. Granted they are under the cap but but why should I wait 8 days to collect them all when I have cars that others want. X'1s (will those still be tradable after the ban? 22 of those, the list goes on. I have just as much fun looking at my beautiful garage as I do driving my beautiful cars.

Because of the way PD did this, this game was easily gaining popularity...it was on fire, dumb, dumb dumb.


If you really wanted to "fix" this situation, one that I for one see no problem with, have it so that you can only trade cars equivalent to your driving status. Or make it 5 cars a day, not many people have more slots than that anyway. Or make it so you can't trade x'1s or whatever the hell car it is they are worred about.


It's just a game PD, one that we waited YEARS!!! for, now we are finally happy with it and you are blowing it all to hell. Way to go on another f#@ up.
 
One more thing. I own my own business and marketing and customer service is everthing. PD really dropped the ball on customer service with the constant delays. Don't tell me they just wanted to get it right blah blah blah. I understand screw ups happen. I've had a few big ones myself, and you know what, I took care of them. But PD whether by stepping in it or by design struck gold here with the market place. This place was a buzz with activity and excitement. Killing that, for whatever reason, is unbelievable blunder. I forget which rule of marketing it is (it's been so long since I've studied it) but any word of mouth that generates excitment is your number one advertisement. I don't know who is advising PD but they've steered them in the wrong direction here.

I'm unsure of what point you are making...if you are for the ban or against it. But there are many of us, myself included that have a family that also plays the game. THIS IS THE ONLY GAME WE PLAY. My kids, my wife (even though she sucks at it we still have fun watching the replays) You aren't just taking away the dupers, you are taking away the rest of us who like to play the game the way it is meant to be played. We all trade our daughter our pink paints so she can paint all her cars pink.
We enjoy three things in my house, the Boston Celtics, Pottery, and GT. One trade a day...c'mon, how about we take the DVR away so that we have to watch the celtics are the time they are on the network, or only be able to use the pottery wheel during certain hours of the day. It's a game for crying out loud, a game my family and I have invested a lot of time and money into. Who honestly gives a rats patoot if someone is duping cars....IT'S AN IMAGINARY CAR!

I don't. I was arguing against the people who come here saying that anyone who is opposed to v1.07 is a cheater and this ban will stop them. Not that it's cheating anyway. I see no message written anywhere that it is against the rules to send a car to someone then load up a previous game save.

And by suggesting how to fix it, I wasn't saying I'd like it to be done, I was merely pointing out there are other ways of stopping people using X1s and FGTs before they should without this blanket ban.

This post by GeekCred has hit the nail on the head. It is exactly what PD should have done in the first place. You Sir are on the money. 👍
 
And what is with getting to look at the x2010's at level 30, but not being able to buy them? Don't understand that.

This new update sucks......how r we supposed to collect the cars now since half of them aren't at dealerships?
 
If Kaz was trying to stop 'cheating' then it's an EPIC fail. What's the difference between someone loaning you an X2010 and you using it in a race where it totally outclasses everything else and someone giving it to you and you doing the same?

Either way, the result is the same. Duping wasn't the cheating he needed to look out for. Duping kept people playing the game and collecting cars. It created interest. The real cheating was what was being done with the cars. The solution is to tie the car level to the race level. Only let an X2010 be raced in a level 30 race or higher and such.

Again... EPIC fail...

ok, so I have legitimately earned about 98% of all my cars and paint. I have the money to buy any car in the game except the lambo at 15mil and the 20mil cars.

I have duped about 20 cars and REALLY THOUGHT...WOW THIS IS GONNA GET PATCHED....better hurry up....and than BAM...they patched it.

What a crock of ****. Seriously, I am so pissed right now its scary. I earned all gold on all my licenses except the stupid 78 ferrari one. ALL GOLD....and I can't even trade half of the cars you can only get from those tests....namely the GT-R ACADEMY Version....which is kickass.

Currently I am sitting on a used car which is 5.1mil...the Audi R8 LMS standard. Now that's a helluva deal to pass up. That car has maybe shown up in my USD like twice and that was before I had the money for it in the first place. Now that I do have the cash, I would have normally bought it, pimped it completely (including the 500,000cr overhauls on BOTH engine and body) plus a full overhaul and paint for a total of like 6.5mil cr.

But NO, not after 1.07. How ridiculous, cars that can't even win half the races in the game are over 1mil, and even ones that are under 1mil or have no prices (winnable only cars) can no longer be traded. The "borrow" system is ridiculous as well, who really has enough friends on GT5 that would have put the most rare cars online, meaning that THEY cant RACE them. Stupid.

I hope someone removes that last patch, because thus AUDI R8 LMS might be the last over 1mil cr CAR that i ever buy in GT5...again, what a crock of **** 1.07 is....seriuosly you guys are up to your (now) 8th patch in the game....gimmie a break. I have over 22GB of GT5 on my PS3 and it is probably mostly car data for cars that I CAN'T TRADE ANYMORE....

its 1,000,000 if you bought it brand new so it can say 980,000 in dealer but any mileage at all its over 1,000,000

just realized this person got like 300 of these, sorry o.o

I know to FTO Super Touring Car & RX-7 LM's are blacklisted... But has anyone tried trading the Impreza Super Tourinng Car as i've seen them at around 500k???
