And alcohol advertising, and oversteer. And manual gearbox, and less downforce.
These 1,5 gb updates are totally awful with 12 gb ps3... Have to buy new hdd.
The 80s Lotus F1 handles like 🤬. 👎
I'm really not enjoying all these extra button presses we're forced to do to confirm every single thing, now it's asking to confirm a restart
Why do thy do this? How does it make the game more enjoyable to play? I'll take the risk of making the wrong decision and having to quit out over having to confirm 'yes' every single time.
This excessive confirmation has been the one constant annoyance of the GT series over the years, it seemed to be getting better in GT5 / 6 but with this in a recent update it is going backwards.

You havent really missed anything special. 2 new cars and a kart. a sorry excuse for historic tracks, and yep....you guessed it.........more time trials.I don't usually complain much but I find it funny how I've been waiting for new gt6 content since launch. Now I just moved and no longer have internet and of course PD decides to release a bunch of new stuff now.My luck is horrible
Except they aren't really time trials, at least not the time trials we're used to. One lap only and no leaderboards. You havent really missed anything special. 2 new cars and a kart. a sorry excuse for historic tracks, and yep....you guessed it.........more time trials.

It's the politically correct thing to do here in the U.S. No one is shown to be better that anyone else so we don't offend anyone who is not fast. Everyone gets a trophy. 🤬I really don't understand Polyphony's pathological aversion to leaderboards. There is no valid technical or design reason not to have them in a big budget game in 2014.
No doubt somehow they think they're making the game better by not having them. Not entirely sure how. I'm sure someone must have already asked this in the Kaz's Question Time forum.
A spade is not a elongated metallic scooping implement. This is a whining and crying thread. Might as well just call it what it is.
Entirely apart from the fact that as we near 5000 posts in the thread, the name is pretty well established. I don't see any need to be politically correct about it now. It's clear and concise. Wanna complain about the game? This is the thread for you. Bish bash bosh.
There are other threads for rational constructive criticism and the like, this one is where people can just let loose. And very popular indeed, it seems to be.
I missed the VGT's.thats whats bugging me the most.I actually dont mind the trials,i tend to get caught up in trying to beat or come close to wheel users times on my friends list which can take awhile.I have tried to share my phones data to download the update a few times, unfortuneatly its only fast enough to let me sign in and message people and thats as far as it goes :/You havent really missed anything special. 2 new cars and a kart. a sorry excuse for historic tracks, and yep....you guessed it.........more time trials.
It's kind of ironic that the same "swarm" of people you refer to above, often bemoan the fact that the forums have been taken over by negative criticism...the exact opposite of your take on the situation..... on "regular" threads, when you're trying to be constructive, pointing out flaws and suggesting ideas, you're either ignored or quickly reminded by a swarm of people that they don't wan't you there, and that you should go back to the place made especially for us "trolls".
Ignore the whole oversimplification of being a troll or a fanboy and ignore those that use those labels to paint people into a corner. When someone gets to that level, where they feel they have to label you into a nice, neat, one-dimensional package, they have nothing left to contribute to the discussion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and no one's opinion should really be challenged, if that's all it is. You should be able to freely say, "I like this", or, "I hate that", without someone getting up in your grill over it. However, when one makes factual statements that you don't agree with, challenge the facts, not the person. Questions someone's ideas, not their character. Focus on what is written, not the writer. The flip side of that of course is, be ready to be challenged on your own thoughts and ideas and don't take it or make it personal. So if you critic something you're a troll, and if you like something you're a fanboy. What can we do?

The epic whining and crying thread is prolly the most constructive thread on this whole Website. Most comments i'm reading here are very rational. In fact, best ideas came from here, and the vast majority of comments are respectful, well thought, and sincere. Most people that are regulary posting here are not whiners, nor complainers; but very passionate fans trying to voice their concerns.
They do it here, because they can't elsewhere.
The rest of GTplanet is mostly a fanboy bible, where you can't be rational - at all.

I agree completely. Naturaly, the game is undeniably flawed, it doesn't take a genius to recognize all of it's flaws. Fanboys or whatever cannot deny it. We simply point out those flaws in here, extern our personal feelings about them and hope for better in the future. And there's nothing wrong with dreaming, is there?I agree completely.
If the rest of GTPlanet is composed of fanboys who will only tolerate rational discussion in a thread labelled "Epic Whining and Crying", what do you think will happen here if you change the title to something sensible?
They'll descend on it like a pack of vultures, because the moment it's not a thread totally dedicated to whining and crying, it's open season for the fanboys to defend their pride and joy.
The fact that this IS the Epic Whining and Crying thread is all that allows the freedom to criticise that may not be available elsewhere. The fanboys know (mostly) to stay away, because this is a thread purely for the negative about the game.
If you change that, you destroy it. Be smart about this. This thread is what it is because it's specifically labelled as a zone for one type of player. Don't change it to something more inclusive of everyone just because you're afraid of applying a negative label to yourself. If that's what it takes to have a rational discussion about the flaws of the game, then so be it.

If the entry qualifications are properly set up, I don't see how you can cheat leaderboards. Have any TT's been hacked yet in GT6? Not to my knowledge. There might be easy explanation why not . All events in GT that include online leaderboards are "online" events . Why so? Doing that , they got more control over event and possible cheating ... that's why you don't see ie. Silverstone in 10 seconds laptime in Gt academy. Seeing what a cluster.... are leaderboards in some other games (FM?,FH,Shift...) where people were massively cheating just to be first (or first 100) ,while community was waiting (and complaining ) 6 months for obvious cheaters to be deleted from lb , I can understand why PD don't include leaderbords for offline play (we all would like to watch those modders with 5000hp cars on leaderboards to whine after why PD dont remove them).
But then , there's no reason why not implement a "friends" only leaderboard
I agree completely.

Always keep in mind we're in eachothers hair for a bloody videogame. Says enough about how mature the whole whiner vs fanboy discussion is IMO
