Because it's a discussion forum not a "who is currently playing GT" Forum. Many of us, including me, have moved on from GT, but only after much deliberation and for me it wasn't an easy move. But we also have a great deal of experience and perspective to add to the discussion, some of us have been with the franchise from the beginning, and we feel it's important to continue discussing the game and it's flaws in the hopes that things will improve and we can come back to it full bore with GT7.

What the 🤬 is with all the people on GT6? Why the 🤬 is everyone an 🤬? Every 🤬 lobby I go into everyone gangs up on ME and ME ALONE, WHY? What the 🤬 did I do to deserve all the 🤬 hate? Everyone is always ganging up on me. Sometimes it's because I'm a girl, sometimes it's because they don't believe I'm a girl. I get accused of modding alot even though I don't bring out my modded cars online. Other time's it's just personal bs. There's been several times where I've been drifting with someone and someone else rams me so I go flying into the person in front of me and everyone blames me for what happened. I could go on for 🤬 days just telling you what all has happened. I still like GT6, it still has potential, it could be fun. But the 🤬 community is completely 🤬 ruining it and just PSN in general.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience but you should know it's quite common among male and female players. I would avoid telling anonymous people online that you're female until you get into a group and get to know them a little. It's not worth the abuse in my opinion from the knuckle draggers and generally immature people that sometimes frequent online gaming lobbies. Shouldn't be that way, but practicality sometimes comes before social justice.

I'd rather let everyone know there aren't JUST guys on GT6 instead of coming along another girl and doing the same 🤬. I can't believe everyone still thinks there are no girl gamers. But it's not that part that gets to me. It's that one person will say something bad about me and then the whole lobby will join them but when I say something that's not even that bad I get ganged up on and even kicked.

I explained that terribly... What I meant was I would rather it exchanged some realism for actual driving fun, and being able to run on my laptop without r-u-n-n-i-n-g like this. Also being able to drive an LMP at the start of your career isn't realistic.

I dont mean to be picky, but technically Assetto Corsa does not let you drive LMPs at the beginning of your career. You can drive them in practice any time you want, which frankly is something PD should have put in GT long ago.
While Assetto Corsa may not be your cup of tea, I highly recommend that you reserve judgement until you play it on a decent rig. It has some of the most spectacular physics on the sim racing market at the moment. It takes a proverbial crap all over GT.
If you want driving fun, try taking the Ferrari 458 up the Transfagarasan hill climb. Sheer driving pleasure 👍

If you don't find pleasure in jumping into a car and just going for a drive (in Assetto Corsa or other high quality sim), then I would have to say simulation games are not for you. I'm one of those people who will grab their car keys in real life, put £10 of petrol in the car and just go on a random drive somewhere for the sake of it. I have not enjoyed hotlapping on my own in any game really, except for Assetto Corsa. I also have to ask what is different (more fun) between a 16 car race in GT and a 16 car race in AC? I would argue that you should find it more fun in AC if simulation is your thing, since you have superior physics, sounds, track selection and field of cars on track (not a random mix of vehicles like in GT, instead you can have all one class, or choose whatever the heck you like, or even have over 50 cars on track in a true endurance race).
It sounds like you want a more arcadey experience which is fine, but makes me wonder what made you pick up a GT game in the first place as it has "Real driving simulation" as it's slogan and plastered on the front of the DVD case.
Also if you are not happy with the supplied career mode in AC, then unlike GT, you can go ahead and within a few minutes create your own entirely custom made career mode yourself. It's impossible to ask for more than that level of sheer freedom. Your "too realistic" comment is bizarre in a forum dedicated to a simulation game, you do not seem to be the target audience for such a genre. Other people are however and shouldn't have that stripped away from them to satisfy another crowd who already have plenty of simcade racers to choose from.

My girlfriend gives me the mic to shout at the idiots while she is playing. Quite fun, actually.
Yeah, go out and buy your very own LMP1 car to race the 24 Hours of Le Mans (wait! now it is the soul crushing 24 minutes of Le Mans) is far more realistic.

im going to lose this argument... also I HAVE NOT tried Asseto Corsa yet, I was talking about project cars, which I didn't personally like. Oh and GT6 was a semi-afterthought on the Xmas 2013 shopping list (boy it was a good one though)

That's US lobbies in general for you. People spend a lot, lot, lot more time being kids/douchbags/d-heads/a-holes/etc than on how the game should be played. And, whenever someone claims to be a girl, they either don't believe you and think that you're just full of BS, or their man-part gets the best of them and they go ape s:censored:, being like "OMG a girl I must 🤬 her".
That's why I don't join US lobbies anymore.
Join a JP or AUS/NZ lobby instead, they don't allow BS to prevail in their lobbies, as opposed to US ones where there's BS all over the lobby and the host just doesn't seem to care (even worse is that said host is the root cause of such BS). Sure, you're most likely to get kicked in a JP or AUS/NZ lobby, but have some patience and once you join a proper one where they welcome foreigners, it's all worth the trouble.

I've tried that and when or.. IF... I do finally find an okay lobby it's laggy as hell or I can't see anyone on the track. I usually host lobbies but the same problems as stated above (previous comments) still happen frequently and I'd rather not have a lobby with 3 people and spend 90% of my time in the lobby just kicking people.

I'm canadian who never cared for GTA anyway. I've never seen what was so special about it either. "Oh wow, I became from gamer to racer, my dream come true. (*.*)" I respect those who do care for it though, but me, I just want to play a "game", not become some silly racer... I'm a radical critic of PD. But I do think that GTA is an awesome idea. My gripe with it comes from the fact that whenever I decided to put some laps in this thing it shows how crappy and average driver I am
