Not sure you realize the meaning of "outdated" in the context of a driving simulation. It means that the car list is not up to date, meaning that a great, great many of the current and recently available cars are not in the game. It doesn't mean that the car list is old or having anything to do with keeping older cars. You can go down this list and see both the modern and classic cars missing from the game that fans want. Note that only 1 car out of the top 130 requests has been added to the game since GT6 was released while at the same time, many of these cars are already included in other games.

I've been playing Gran Turismo since the first one. I bought my first Playstation specifically so that I could play GT1.

Just because you don't love the game, everyone else that does is belittled. That's how I perceive you, like some sort of bully, pushing people into groups that you claim they belong.

Except that I have the decency not to spoil other people's fun with my own opinions. I've inadvertently done so in the past, and I didn't like it when I realised what I was doing. So I stopped.

I'm belittling you for coming into the whining and crying thread and attempting to have a go at people who are simply following the thread topic. This is what the thread is for. If you don't like it, then go elsewhere.

Just because you like the game doesn't give you the right to bring your relentless positivity into one of the few places where people can legitimately just vent about what they find frustrating. I was doing just that when you decided to make me the object of your little crusade, because you objected to the term I used.

I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that it didn't apply to you, but I think it's pretty clear to everyone at this point that it does. You are that guy. The one that just has to stick in his two cents about how awesome the game is, even in the whining and crying thread.

But if PD wants to still be using old ways, and I am fine with that as long as it is a good game to play, and with GT6 we all know why it was not good because of the limitations with the PS3 console, but I still enjoy it. Really looking forward to GT7.

What are the "limitations of the PS3" you are referring to? I only ask as the consoles limitations seems to be a recuring issue with each GT but as wraith of horous said the core ideologies and physics/AI has not changed over the franchise course.

Making up humourous names for Gran Turismo users who play the game and express their thoughts in threads that turn out positive.

But you had to stop because it became to much (all that positivity can harm you), so now you found your utopia by hiding your negative way of thinking in a negative thread.

I think if Forza 6 can up the physics ante it should be a big blow. I left GT after 3 because I was tired of the identical game with new versions of a honda civic. Project Gotham and then the Forza games I felt brought the multiplayer aspect into these console racing games that really still is not matched by GT. The clubs and stuff like that can be set up a little better, but overall for some reason the Forza titles have always delivered on multiplayer better. Also this whole stupid car wash, oil change, rigidity system is so archaic and needless it hurts. For ****s sake let me paint my car however I feel, instead of having to unlock paint chips and still have almost no control on how my car looks.

Although I agree that Forza's multiplayer is better than GT's (especially the fact that it has less hiccups with its connection). There's one thing GT has over it, and that's Free Run mode imo. Oh, and PD making you unlock paints to so you can use them to paint your cars with was stupid concept to begin with. Everything else there's no need for them either.

Cant believe the competition so cheap. 650 pp vs A FREAKING 722 PP GODDAMN.

Actually, I've tried that challenge, I couldn't win even in my Ferrari P4 or Ford GT40 Mk.IV. Though, I still find Cote d' Azur worse. Mainly because I find racing on this course unbearable in general when it comes to using supercars.

No, that's not what I meant and I wasn't even asking. The tracks I perfer range from Midfield & High Speed Ring to the Nurburgring & Sierra. Courses with a fast flow, but they also still provide a fun challenge.

Speaking of Cote d'Azure...that track is HIDEOUS. How the hell did they not change it!? I can make a whole rant on this track. It's literally a disgrace.

Sure they could, all they have to do is go back to Monaco and scan the track again. It could take time to scan and model, but it would be worth it.

I dunno, even the real Monaco isn't actually a very good race track. It survives through it's location, atmosphere and history, but in general the most interesting thing about races there is that a lot of people end up hitting walls and crashing out.

I can think of lots of other race tracks that are more interesting to race on purely from a driver's perspective. Unless GT is going to incorporate an F1-type championship into it's career mode, I wouldn't waste time on Monaco.

I'm being spammed with hundreds of messages telling me to die or kill myself, etc. I can't see the top right of the screen for more than a second because of all the spam I'm getting... I am no longer welcomed into any drift lobbies and when I am it's just to troll me... This... This is why I wish the human race would become extinct... This is why I have the job that I do... This is why I wish to die and leave earth. Well, off to create a new account...

Next time you play,ensure you have a notepad and pen beside you and just write done all the pricks that abuse you. Then just report them through the PSN. I know this isnt exactly what you want but nothing much as you can do. The best for teaching interweb trolls is just to prove to them that your better - beat them if you can.

Has worked for me, in a game of BF:BC2 someone on my side wasnt happy with me sniping of targets at over 300m. I told them i was placing headshots on moving targets at around 400m range (incurring 3 sec bullet travel time). The particular individual told me i only had a limited number of kills to which i replied im spotting. Then proceeded to tell me i was probably 🤬 and couldnt play unless i was camping. So next round i decided to play as they wished me too. Hence short after that round i said "so how did you go, oh thats right youre at the bottom and what were you saying about me..." I was top player for the round and never heard another word again from the whiny turd! This is the most effective at shutting up interweb trolls/:censored:holes!

Reporting does nothing. Sony isn't going to go through all the fake reports just for my one real problem. Even if they did... They would say "Not our problem" just like everyone else. I'm probably just going to start banning everyone myself since Sony isn't going to do 🤬 about it, especially since it's not on PS4. Soon enough there will be maybe 1 or 2 people left on GT6...

All the GT4 spec tracks could use that. Tracks have never really been GT's graphical forte, and to me the standard tracks are even greater eyesores than the standard cars.

It's a shame, because there are some really good tracks that could be great with a makeover and a bit of a redesign. Back in the day it was the standard for all tracks to have walls very close to the track limits, but I think things like Trial Mountain and Deep Forest could be great with the same track layout but a slightly more realistic design of their surroundings.

You're right that Cote d'Azure is possibly the worst offender though. It's really bad looking. If they put that on PS4 as is it's going to be terrible.
