I also think the reduced devopment time of the PS4 might allow Kaz and co to think about the game design further.

This also brings up a rather interesting point; Kaz has mentioned GT6 will have regular, monthly car and track DLC's. If GT7 is to really show up so soon, to have any unique content over GT6 (and not just end up a simple visual upgrade), I can't imagine these monthly packs will be very big at all.

Ahh, you understand me perfectly!

I am sure that I will enjoy the visual upgrades, but that will only last so long (as they say, skin deep).

Aside: Cadwell Park is possibly one of my favourite tracks, judging by years of videos (and thanks to either Car or Evo introducing me to it). I'm hoping it shows up in either of the two big console racers eventually...

Our hopes are the same. Cadwell Park is quite possibly my most beloved track, and simply perfect (in my most humble opinion ) for races with Minis, Clios, Peugeot 105, 205 & 206s, Golfs, Beetles, Sciroccos, 500s, MR2s, Kei cars, etc (you get the point :embarrassed:).:cheers::cheers:

The way I see things right now is that GT6 had a unique opportunity to fix the career mode and the events to at least make that part of the game enjoyable. But I'm sure the career mode of GT6 will be as bland as the one in GT5. (Rolling starts, no diversity, dumb A.I, no economy, buy upgrades; rince, repeat, rabbit chasing, and al.). And all that, despite having the biggest car pool of all the racing games.

Kaz must go. bourgeoisie syndrome.

How can you be sure? Have you played the final edition? If you don't like it, I can take it off your hands!

Yeah, 'monthly' DLC doesn't specify whether it will be one car or ten cars. Some months, the DLC may just be minor updates without cars or tracks. If it really does take them so long to model one car, then I assume we won't be seeing much more than perhaps 20-30 DLC cars top whack for the entire time that DLC is being uploaded.
I believe they did say new "tracks" every month...I don't believe they said new "cars" every month..IIRC

THIS LACK OF NEWS IS making ME not excited !!!

Here's my rant and cry for the day !!

THIS LACK OF NEWS IS making ME not excited !!!

With the risk of sounding ignorant, what kind of news could there possibly be? I think the GT6 website covers everything we need to know before next friday. There also has to be some nice surprises left for us to discover.

There is what we have seen and heard, and there is the surprise part for in 10 days...

but between now and then, would someone please let us peek through a slit of the curtain?!

Where is the hype train gone!!? lol

I think some people just want news everyday until the game comes out. They should've added one or 2 new screen shots a day and 5 cars a day to their site until the game came out lol.

Nope. None of us (except maybe Jordan or Famine) will have enough information to find that out until December 6.

LOL.

I believe we all have enough information to prove you wrong.

So, no more rolling starts? More diversity now? A real good economy? No more rabbit chasing? Each opponent with its own unique and challenging A.I.? No need to rince repeat upgrades like in previous iterations?

Damm. I really didn't know about those changes.

Ok, seeing as you are the all-knowing fredyellowone, how about you impart your wisdom upon us and provide some evidence for how GT6 is simply a copy of GT5. Enlighten us.

I am not all knowing. I can assure you of that. But I can read.
If I'm wrong, I will gladly apologies on the 6th.

A new trailer is always cool...

Oh no, I insist! You seem to be so adamant on this theory of GT6 being a rehash of GT5, why you must know something we don't! Why don't you share your knowledge with us? Is it because you don't have that information? Or does PD have a contract with the Mafia to have you killed if you tell us?

Then that wouldn't be DLC at all, just a patch. Really though, it's all nothing more than speculation until the DLC starts arriving. Perhaps the cars and tracks appearing in GT6 between next week and the launch of GT7 will be the bulk of the new content. I do think that on next-gen they won't just be upgrading the looks and interface - once again, perhaps it'll be the tracks that PD will be working on, making them all time change with full weather options. Like I say, speculation is all there is presently. I just don't see why people should take such a negative stance by default.

And before a stream of relies come in stating how PD have ruined their faith in GT with GT5...that was then, this is now. Be wary, by all means, just don't expect those of us who are able to keep a positive head to fall in with the hating.

My main gripe with GT stems from Kaz striving to have GT as a "car encyclopedia".

There has always been a bias toward the inclusion of cars from Japan - inevitable with PD being a Japanese studio.

However looking further into the car list, some really big opportunities have been missed yet again by PD to include historic vehicles in the Japanese motor industry (cars that they would have no problem sourcing/modelling - not to mention cars that not everyone knows too much about)

e.g. - Nissan R380, premium road/race Hakosuka GTR, premium road/race R31. The worst is the non confirmation of a premium 2000 GT, a real pioneering moment for the Japanese car industry.

Watch out, everyone! We have someone making a valid argument supported by evidence here! 👍

Like I said, I can read. All the information you need is on youtube gameplay videos, and on the Gran Turismo official Website. Plus, we all know the way GT series is going since GT4, we all know that KAZ is not about hiding features for the release date; but rather about stripping announced features.

- We know the full car list.
- We know that the track creator won't be on disc.
- We know there is not much improvement with the A.I.
- We know that there will be no hood view.
- We know that B spec won't be on disc.
- We know that there will be a system with stars instead of a ranking system
- We know weather will not be for all tracks
- We know standard cars are still there, with no cockpit view
- We know that there won't be a livery editor
- And it's pretty much given that the A spec core experience will be the same. (Rabbit chasing, pointless economy, not much diversity, pattern : buy upgrades, rince repeat.)
