What makes a particular car famous enough to be elegible?

Thre reason I ask is because the very first model that came to my mind was the TVR Cerbera racing modded from GT2. Thing is, I think it isn't anywhere near the status a Castrol Supra or a GT-R have in the series.
If its memorable to you and is a car from a past GT game, then its fair game.
Speaking for myself, I'm pretty sure noone really gave a **** about the Prius G, nevertheless the touring car one above.

I’ll second this, but if you want a better answer, ask Jordan. His theme. :D
These look amazing. Is there an easier way in GT7 for me to look you up and follow? I'd love to grab these if you've shared them.
Thank you! I haven’t shared them yet, will post link once I do. :)

FINAL ENTRY

PS4 Base
I decided to go for a classic Gran Turismo livery on a different classic GT car.
I had to change a couple of sponsors and the HKS design isn’t exactly as the original, but I think it fits the brief and I’m happy with how it turned out.

I will add a couple of bonus pics later after I’ve finished work
This looks great, one of my favorite liveries

I would love to participate! Just need to figure out how to find all the decals! Limited selection as of this point! 😅
I’m sure there’s plenty of people who can help, including me. If you don’t need any overly complicated decal, of course. :D I love making decals.

Hot. I love what you did to the number plate!

FINAL ENTRY

PS4 Pro.

Sooooo, there's a new game in the wild. Comming back from hiatus, I see my favourite contest living and breathing with fresh air.
There's the hope to be active again and there's the hope to get better in racing, photo shooting and livery making.

This particular entry (as I'm somehow obsessed with the Swift (probably because I had one)) is based on Suzuki Cappuccino Touring Car, Red version from GT6 I think. With carbon hood and roof. No bonus shots this time, hopefully next time, or maybe I'll add some untill the round is over. Glad to see you again guys, and hope the turnover will be great again.

Livery not shared yet, but will be in the near future.

Updated entry:
I made some final tweaks to the livery - added hood pins and tow hooks with red arrows where applicable, missing Polyphony Digital decal on the hood, and moved the rear number sheet a bit up. And changed tyres to racings. :D And added 2 bonus pics. Hope this time all good with the dimensions and stuff like that ^^

This one's pretty simple honestly. I spent a whole bunch of hours recreating, or reinterpreting, on the new Supra GT500 the iconic Esso Toyota TS020 GT-One livery from the year 1998 when it ran for the first time in the GT1 category.

The GT1 car with this livery first appeared in the series in Gran Turismo 2, which is where the car made its only appearance. The rest of the times the GT-One appeared, it was in its LMGTP guise from 1999, with a different livery.

I really love Toyota's red and white brush-stroke or tiger-stripe designs. From the GT-One to several of their Formula 1 entries. I wish this livery was embraced more by the brand, maybe for the GR010 at some point? But for now I guess I'll just have to make it myself in the GT7 livery editor.

I recreated this scheme once before in GT Sport with the TS030, but between the two this version is much more faithful to the original I think. Although I wasn't able to find every period-correct sponsor so I had to take some artistic license with them. It's more of a semi-replica or a homage than a true 1:1 recreation in that sense.

Personally I skipped on using Michelin branding on the tires because there aren't any strictly white ones in the game, and the blue ones didn't look good. So the tires are brandless. Also since there aren't any Speedline rims in the game like the TS020 has, I went with the black Spoon Sports rims because they looked nice.

Fun fact, the livery is usable in Sport Mode. That’s why the number plates are placed where they are, so they get covered by the mandatory ones.

Either way I hope you guys like it and the design is available to download, as well as being fully open to editing yourself.

Spent a good few minutes staring at these, and until I read your write-up had no doubts whatsoever that this was a real Toyota LM24 entrant.

The realism of that first bonus pic in particular is absolutely insane. The GT logo in the corner is my only hope of identifying it as digital.

I've always been in love with the Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II since it appeared on the Gran Turismo 4's cover!

As I still don't actually own a Ford GT, not even a race car, I thought my newly acquired Camaro ZL1 would look like a nice race car with some of the tweaks GT7 has to offer.
And it's American so it keeps the flavor of the original imo.

American wheels of course, with a kind of old school muscle car feeling.
Exhaust, suspensions, wide body kit, Brembo race brake system...

Not the most complicated livery I've ever made but hey, simple is beautiful, and I couldn't prevent myself from recording one minute of the video scape!

1' Video scape on YouTube

Nice first view, then circuit scenes, and New-York to finish, it appeared just perfectly! :D

Hope you'll like it, happy to be back on the LECs with this brand new GT!

Have fun everyone! :gtpflag:

Thanks a lot @syntex123 for starting the Livery Editor Competition GT7.
I can't wait to have the livery editor section unlocked in the game. And I also have a car from GT4 in mind for recreation in this thread.
Hopefully PD will be so graceful to allow high-resolution pictures for export to external USB device, soon…

For me it would be fine to compare the new interpretations (entries) to the classic originals from GT. So why not add an external URL to a pict of the original car?

It seemed fitting to come back on the saddle with the release of GT7, so of course I had to start it :D

Yes, URL instead of positing it would be required. If you can be so kind @Sian, add links to your other stuff instead off fully like you did? 1) easier when making the poll and 2) if you read the rules again. :)

I found the idea so good I read too fast and added the image immediately! :D

I guess it's OK now? :)

Video too if you could. 👍🏼
Really? Even in the second post?

I thought it was cool for those who have a few minutes to do it and for those who like beautiful images in motion.

Anyway, I removed it, I hope link is fine and I didn't misunderstood what you asked me!

All those hours spent driving this car b-spec on GT4 to grind credits on Deutsche Touring Car Meisterschaf.

Edit : Not exactly this car, but TT
B-Spec was already there in GT4?

I miss this mode sooo much, I thought it would be back in GT7! :(

Admittedly, I didn't use all original sponsor decals that appear on the real car. That's simply because not all sponspr decals needed have been uploaded by the community yet, so I improvised a bit. But I gave my best to bring this Gran Turismo 3 original back to GT7. :gtpflag:
This is the 1999 version of the Denso Sard Supra?

Oh yes, only final entry. In the past almost everyone posted stuff they wanted to make, or had made they kinda wanted to enter, etc. With that much media showing up it takes a good while to make the poll. :) bonus pics was decided to be allowed since many people wanted more presentation.

I appreciate the pride and wanting to show it off, but linked is fine, alternatively post it in full in another thread. 👍🏼 (And link back here, I guess.)
