Exited about starting the

Livery Editor Competition​

in GT7, with all the possibilities the new editor gives us!

Some words to my livery and the nostalgia theme: My understandig of the nostalgia theme is, to convert liveries of legendary cars of the Gran Turismo game history to modern times and racecars. So i asked myself a question: How would look a livery of the past would look nowadays? I wanted to design a reinterpration of one of my favourite racecars of the game history, i chose the RX7 LM Racecar because of the great shiny green with orange details, and of course, because of my personal memories driving the RX7.

It is really awesome, to see how many great liveries are posted already - good luck to everyone, you did amazing jobs!

It happens to me too on a one particular livery every time. I think this one is broken.

I chose to recreate the Honda Mugen Motul civic si race car and modify it for a BTTC - style Honda Civic touring car. It is not an exact replica. The goal was to make a modern version. I have good memories of this car in GT5. There I used it for the rally special events.

That’s alright! We’ve all been new. Just remember to read first, and if there’s something you don’t understand you reach out. I hate being the horned devil, but be glad I look out and let you know, since all wrong entries won’t make it to the poll if not fixed in time.

Spoiler: in the beginning

We had a guy in the first few rounds in GTS - who didn’t want to follow the rules, complained about entries not looking good enough, and one round he had a long rant because usermade decals wasn’t allowed in that one. It went so far he got banned from the whole livery subforum.

I’ve actually wondered about tweaking the settings just a tiny bit, I feel the background has a tiny bit green tint to it. But to keep it sinple for newcomers I decided not to, as the settings of the previous (GTS) comps could be daunting to those not too familiar with how the camera in GT works.

As pointed out by @Mires I will add in how to re-open a scape with settings and placement of an existing photo to make it easy for newcomers to join in even quicker in the next round.

Unless someone added effects to their photos(which aren’t permitted), they all should look the same.
And maybe your screenshot settings are jpg instead of png.

Could be many reasons. Or there’s one other solution: you’re too critical about your own work. I know I am.

After having had heavy issues with Livery Editor (PS4 base) crashing and work lost, I detected a diy decal (simple digit for racenumber) to be responsible. Looking forward to enter the comp soon.

Oof. I’m sorry! Glad I’m not having any issues so far on my PS4 base. Except once when the game froze when a guy joined my lobby.

If you made liveries in GT Sport, you can also choose these liveries in the livery editor. But if you want to load the livery into the editor, GT7 can't find most of the used decals. Maybe because the databases are different? Anybody with the same problem?

Ahhh... the 90's. One of my fav touring car liveries. While I made one in GT Sport with the street version EK, with this touring car version, I had to do it again! I just hope we'll get an EG down the road so that I can do it properly!
