Window to wall ratio? For context I didn't watch the debate. Want to elaborate?
I think it has to do with a goal of net zero carbon emissions for new homes by 2030, and to Trump this means all buildings and that tiny windows will restrict flow of emissions.

It's hilarious. He doesn't understand...things...and he's got next to no attention span when it comes to anything but praise, so he catches these small bits of ideas and makes these connections that only the stupidest of stupid can actually find competent. Then things get scary, because he floats these ideas to the people around him and they offer nothing but praise out of absolute fear that they'll lose their position because of disloyalty. Something like this tiny window nonsense is fairly benign. Other things are very much not.

Yeah, unless it feeds into his neoclassicist fetishism which is far from benign for me...

I dropped off my mail-in ballot in the mailbox today and while I voted for Trump in 2016 (due to not trusting HRC), I decided to push for support for a 3rd party in the future and voted for the Libertarian candidate.
Well, I did vote, but apparently someone couldn't read the official mail-in ballot at the post office and the envelope was returned to my house today. Now I need to go to a ballot dropbox because I do not trust the postal service.

Bear in mind, this was something Trump said Biden said. So ...

I've hit my limit for The Atlantic.
Someone please tell me where they were talking about Trump walking leaning forward. Like Fred Flinstone bowling.:lol:

I can't find it.

Shockingly ... it was a pretty good debate. Both men acquitted themselves quite well I thought. Almost like normal times are here again. :boggled:

It was the first I heard about Biden mandating tiny windows though. I don't like that idea at all. :irked:

Ah, he's a moron. Had a feeling that was the case.

Don't worry, he'll only mandate tiny windows on opposite day.

You'd almost have to be a complete imbecile to agree with Trump.

So, I filled out and dropped off my ballot yesterday. Pretty painless affair all things considered. The local business college served as a ballot drop-off spot, so after finding a spot to park, I was pretty much in-and-out in a couple minutes. Sheriff deputies were present as well, but they mostly went around talking to some people making sure that they weren't trying to get close to the people dropping off ballots or anyone trying to do early voting. If that's how it is currently, than I'm pretty sure I'll be voting by mail for the foreseeable future.

I did get pretty pissed at a driver, though. As I was driving through the college's car circle (which is just barely wide enough to fit two cars, and all the other drivers were single-file) another car came around and cut me off to take a parking spot that I was going for. I may- or may-not have flipped the bird at them as they were exiting their car.... :irked:

Reminds me. Today I made my second attempt at sending my ballot as this time I dropped it off in my town's ballot drop-off box. If the envelope doesn't get returned to me by Wednesday, I'll consider it a success.

Whoever made the poll should edit it so that we can see who voted for each option; that's how it was in the 2016 elections thread, too.

I don't consider that necessary - and it may not be conducive to either honest answers or conversation.
100% agree. The people who voted one way or another could easily be targeted/harassed.

CBS Boston
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh praised police Monday for the quick arrest.

“From our election workers who are working hard to trace every legible ballot in that dropbox, to our firefighters who quickly responded to the fire, and our police officers who launched an immediate investigation, voters can be assured that our first and foremost priority is maintaining the integrity of our elections process,” the mayor said in a statement.

“We remain committed to making their voices heard in this and every election, and maintaining transparency and trust with voters.”

Sounds like the city took corrective action very quickly on this. I hope no one tries to use the incident as an excuse to say the election system is flawed.

As of this afternoon, aggregated polling shows that the states of Ohio, Iowa, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina & Texas are essential tied with the spread between Trump & Biden being less than 2 points in each state.

Those are basically all essential for Trump to win if he wants to win. Plus he'd need more. If Trump took all of those, he'd need Pennsylvania to win.

Put another way, if Biden wins (almost) any of those, he'd win without Pennsylvania.*

*Based on current polling

So many key states are so close to call. Based on 2016 results and now 2020 being a complete mess (and Covid spiking again) - all can easily be won by Trump. I would say that it's more likely that he wins in midwestern states if he is <5% down in polls. I'm not at all certain who will win the whole thing. Very likely we can see a few percent difference in popular vote going Biden and Trump winning EC again.

I wasn't familiar with a lot of the polling stuff back in 2016 but I'm watching it much more closely now. I'm curious to see how 538 does. Years ago I actually dismissed them because they were relatively new and their sports betting was a disaster so when I learned they were tracking election stuff I was like "pssh they're always wrong".

But their system makes just as much sense as anybody else's. They've also got an interactive map. I just ran a scenario where Biden hits 270 even losing all the states you mentioned and PA. Basically, if Biden loses PA but wins AZ, he wins by two electoral votes. If he loses both PA and AZ, he loses. He has to win one of those two. Of course I pulled that out of my ass because 538's model changes everything each time a state is chosen and if I followed that, this map would not be likely to look like this. But I feel this is a worst-case scenario. Both WI and MI are polling well outside the margin of error so I think they're safe.

I'm super confident Biden will lose OH, GA, NC, TX and IA. No doubt in my mind. I always aim for the worst case lol. That leaves PA and AZ as super important races in my mind.
