Ok, I've given up on the 8.85's for now, I will come back to that. But, I figured I would start off the NN Race car with an 8.756 with the Minolta Toyota 88C-V Race Car '89. Might I also suggest that, much like the 4WD street class, that the Escudo get it's own top 10 list, because it seems to take up much of the race class with nitrous, so I expect it to do the same on the no nitrous list.

Ok, I figured I would give a few different Sections a try.
First, I have an 8.417 with viper SRT-10 03 with nitrous.
7.912 with nitrous Spec C.
10.661 with nitrous on Ford SVT F-150 Lightning '03.
8.360 Skyline GT-R V-spec Nur.
All I can manage with a FF is a 12.282 with an SRT-4.

Can a mod (Smallhorses maybe?? :)) come along and merge MileHigh's last 2 posts?? Sorry Milehigh, but merge the posts if you're the last to post, it makes sure a target isn't on your chest from the mod squad. ;)

As for your question regarding the Escudo, it's the easiest car to get into the Top 15, but by no means is it dominating that category, it never has for that matter. Personally, I HATE the Escudo and can't go fast with it and can get quicker times with other cars that could get me in near the Top 5. The Spec-C was another story. That had 8 of the Top 10 and 12 of the Top 15 spots, so that HAD to be swapped over. That was 2yrs ago now nearly.

And with the times you've put up, I'll be waiting patiently for the pics. 👍

Not a record but entertained me none the less.
Toyota MR2 V Edition 02 9.98@145mph fully tuned (with nitrous) although I haven't played with the settings yet.
Made me smile though, how many MR2s do you see at the drags especially one that does 9s? :D

I'll dig up my drag cars later and see what times I can manage, looks interesting ;) ..

TECHNICALLY, it's in race livery so it would have to go in the RACE CAR category. However, I don't really see the point in that car as you can simply get an V-Spec NUR and get more power, more adjustability (you can't change the rear wing with that particular GT-R) and quicker times overall.

Oh but wouldn't everyone be jealous of your car with flashing lights? Plus I did a test on it yesterday night and it was doing 9 second runs with a stock transmission, quite possibly with a little bit of tuning that im too lazy to do it could be faster. But I was just curious to see what category it would fall into.

jw can u use nitros ?
On certain parts you can. I obtained my place by nitrous and extremely clever tuning. But depending on what spot on the board you're looking for there are some restrictions as to what you can do. For instance the Light Truck/SUV category, you must not have TCS. Little things like that, other than that. Use nitrous at all points applicable.

It might help if you tell us what category you're going for and what car you're using!! There's plenty of different things you can do to it but we need the basic info first. :) If you get it right you can apply that same setup to many many cars in that category and get heaps of cars in all categories.

bergauk, nice time with the Beetle dude. 👍 Your time is updated. :)

It can only be in 4WD bergauk. I'll break it down like this as it's been a long while since I've let new people know about the basic categories:

If it's got race livery, it's in race cars and this applies from the S800 race car all the way up to the Group B rally cars, Group C race cars & Escudo. The only exemptions are the SUV's which have the Pajero's & RSC's in race trim.

If it's a road car, even if it's a concept car, then it's drivetrain, country & age determine where it goes except for the Subaru Impreza Spec-C which gets it's own Top 15. You have the pre-'75 US & Non-US, then the 4WD, FR, MR & RR, FF, SUV and No Nitrous categories. And the crown jewel is the Race Car nitrous category.

And guys & girls, I appreciate everyone's efforts in continuing to raise the bar and lower the times in all categories, even with GT5P being out. 👍

Mafs!!

Hi guys!

First of all excuse for my bad English. Hope the translation program helps.

I've maybe something interesting for you.

In the Gran Turismo Board GTRP (Link) starts on Monday next week a new competition.

This Event is about 1/4 Mile Race at the Las Vegas drag strip.

It is every week a new car given. As tuning everything is permitted. Only Nitro (NOS) and driving aids are prohibited.

Currently, a test race with the Shelby Cobra 427. The record is in the moment at 9.177 seconds.

If you have desire, then drop by.

With the speed of those times, I think quite a few of you guys would put a huge dent into the Top 10's in the No Nitrous categories for sure, if not dominate it. I'd love to see some of you guys try and break some of the long standing records on here.....FR's been up at that pace for a couple of years now. :D

I'm not a Shelby fan, but I'll keep an eye out and see what you pull out for the following week.

VW Beetle Standard 1100 (Type-11) '49
13.104 seconds.

I'd like to claim my place on the on the Non U.s. Classic Cars list.

You know, that's as quick as this car can POSSIBLY go. I've done a PB of 13.106 in it, and haven't been able to get any quicker.

I have just started posting a thread witch will contain the full tune settings and details for All the pre '75 American Muscle Cars on the quarter mile. This MAY affect the results posted on this competition. On the other hand I could withhold this Info until I hold the title of fastest Muscle Car quarter mile time, but I'm a good guy and I like to share info with other muscle car enthusiests (spelling?)........ We will see what I decide to do shortly.............. Bubye:sly:

9.178 in a Viper GTS-R Concept.
9.788 in the same Viper GTS-R Concept with 0 TCS.

This should go to the no nitrous road car category.
