WOO I got a 8.222 with a Ford GT

Pic tomorrow!

I'll be waiting for it. :)

viper srt-10 - 8.109 seconds @ 286 km/h

Want pic now.

Now, Kyle (RJ), you've got the rotor record for now as I can't get my setup right again on the Spirit R, have to restart the base tune and try again, but it's only there by a thread...0.04. :P I'm considering other options to just go all out too and try for #1 in road FR. 💡

I'm off to watch my dose of NHRA Drag Racing. Be back soon.

Ford GT. Booted it up today to get a picture, got an even better session record.

I don't know how to get such a good time with the SRT-10, (I just can't get it in the awful NA 3-like powerband quickly enough, and if I do I can't get it to hook up!)

I also went for the FR challenge with the Cerbera Speed-12. That monster screeches the tires until 5th gear!

So I'm not going to do the FR challenge for now ;)

Don't worry, I can't get my tune back either... My PB was 8.206 ;)

11.56 Mitsubishi lancer evolution v11 '93. I also now know it doesnt make the list. lol sorry i have had the game for a couple days and im really new. but o well. lol

Hey mate, don't double post, use the edit button.

Also, try to use proper capitalization, spelling, and punctuation, and avoid txtspeak.

lol, IIRC, etc are okay, but u, ur, urs, o, rly, and other forms of lazy-speak are frowned upon.

Just warning you before someone else (with power) warns you with a side effect...

Dude, if you're going to go to the trouble of picture taking......make sure that the time atleast makes the list!! :irked:

I can help easy with a 10sec tune. Do you want Nitrous or not??

*added bit* Colinod, your time will go up in a minute or two.

Sorry just figured i would post it anyway, you know? But i am pretty sure i can get it in the 10's. If this task proves to be to hard for me i will send you a private message. :)

I appreciate the thought, it's just I'd rather not filter through the cannon fodder times ya know. ;) Like the 300mph thread, this is for the records and records ONLY!! Jump into the tuners section and ask for a good sprint tune up for the E7.

I know MFT, RRV & the other tuner mobs will help you out, just go test one of their cars, give an honest decent review and they will tune a car up for you. I know VtiRoj has a nice E8 with 430hp without oil change, does 11.4's without breaking a sweat on S3 tyres, and that was only a touge entry!! Search for it, copy the specs onto E7, fit R5's and bam, 10's!

I'm usually willing to help with drag setups if you give a review...

AWD is fun, especially when I can do my tire mixing and not worry much about wheelspin... In fact, I have an Evo VII around somewhere (GSR, sorry) that I might give a crack at getting into the NINES off nitrous with.

I actually got the 440 Charger into the high 8's. I got some close ratios, rear end's almost 3:1

If I had any softer tires, it'd be in the low 7's.

Totally understand :) I also want to try and get there myself. I want to pretend I know what I am doing :dopey:

It was about time I got back into the driver's seat and get some times down. Plus I wanted to get back into the swing of things too.

So, I've decided to reset some records.....namely the TVR Speed 12's.

NN Road Car time - 8.669@274km/h.

After doing that, I slapped on the giggle gas and then ran....

8.273@313km/h!!

Pics to come as soon as I upload them, then I take #1 in NN Road car and somewhere near the Top 5 in FR. :)

With it's same drag suspension settings (INCLUDING BALLAST!!), I re-geared it and also got this tune to go 301.04mph.

Very good time. 👍

I will try again to counter. :)

I'm still in the middle of my tests for the Road Cars without NOS.
Although I have some improvements, but I post the results until I'm ready.

Currently it appears that probably all 10 times with different Raodcars less than 9 seconds.

The top 3 are currently within 2/100 at 8.71. :)

Reporting me when I'm finished with all data and images.

Supra-Addict,
What your gonna need to do is to tune your Lancer to the highest possibility. When you finish with engine and turbo upgrades, put the full customize tranny on it. Then go buy RSS tires. BEWARE, THEY COST A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This reduces any tire skidding, but don't forget to change them back before you race in an actual event. You should be able to break ten with careful shifting at the redline(if you use MT) and the right tuning.

Why does everyone think you shift at redline?

You shift when the car stops pulling, why not just fiddle the ratios to get some higher accel?

Big Boss, it all depends on the car dude. I know with a car like the RX7, you HAVE to shift as close to the 8100rpm cutout as possible in the first two or three gears just to maximise the acceleration. A car like the Speed 12 however, you can shift 2000rpm before peak power and still get less than .01 behind your best time.
And depending on the flow of the gearbox, it's better to run gearing that keeps the motor in the red zone and not losing too many rpms between gearshifts. The Integra Type R is a perfect example of this as are most of the FF based cars. Some cars I run a pro stock style gearset so it's a super-super-close ratio and gearshifts cause a drop of less than 1000rpm per gear.

Yeah. I know that max accel almost always is at high revs, but almost everyone I know just figures to shift when the little red light turns on.

Welcome to GTP Redlinesupra.

1st off, this thread isn't about finding settings for cars, this is just for record setting times only. Read through this thread and see what I mean.

2nd, because you're new and I'm in a nice mood here's my own personal RZ tune taken from the Tuning Forum in a Spot Race Challenge, done on S3 tyres with ONLY 572hp (S2 turbo, 10.0km version), guaranteed to get sub 4.00 at Le Sarthe. Whack R3's on it and you've got a nice little weapon.

Mafs Supra Tune - Codename: Fatboy!

I was playing with my Audi R8 today, and I found out my time wouldn't have even made it on the leaderboard for race cars (7.690). So, I went for a Non-Nitrous run instead, and...
Picture1-4.jpg

I think that makes it on now, right Mafs??? :D

Spot on McSqueegy. :D You = #1. And you're one of the select few who have records in BOTH the 400m AND 300mph threads. The only other one off the top of my head is the famed I-Runner.

And if he's watching and isn't too busy with his italian GT board, CIAO I-RUNNER!! :D

I'm looking at a couple of race cars to try and get a sub 8sec pass NN. Namely the Minolta and the R89C. 👍

*added bit* While I'm at it, I might stop being lazy for a minute and put up those TVR times.

Good luck with the NN attempts. Funny how I broke the speed record in the TVR, but i can't tune it for crap in the 1/4 mile :indiff:. My speciality is max speed, so i'm still happy :). But i'll find another car to ensure my spot on the board, at least :mischievous:
