Just go for it RJ. I've already taken a Spec-C and a 3000GT through the traps without the bottle, I have to wait for my wife to get home with the camera before I can start taking pics though. :) And they've got just a little bit more than that 400hp RX8. ;)

Well, I've just lowered my PB for my Integra Type R. New time of 11.669@231km/h. Will put photo up later on for all of you if I can't improve this time already.

Bah, I can't get that 8.204 in the FD bettered. I've done an 8.207 and 8.210, but no faster...

Oh, and when I first fired up the ITR, swapping to NA stage 3 didn't hurt times whatsoever, but then later the turbo was needed.

After a few months and some hard work, I recovered from having all my data lost on my memeory card, and came back with a better time than the one I tried to submit before...and this time I raced at the right location ( I hope )...but now the image won't load...

To Be CONTINUED

I'll be awaiting your picture then.

I'm currently trying some no NOS cars on the 1/4 mile, and finding out the magic number will be an 8.999 pass. So anything in the low 9's WILL get you a Top 10 spot.

And remember, for this leader board it doesn't matter what drivetrain you have out of the 4 major drivetrains (FR, MR, RR, 4WD).

SRT-10 Viper has a definite shot. I seriously question if it needs the nitrous for the low-8 passes that have been made.

Well, give it a go and see what you can do. :) For the record RJ, that 9.750 RX7 run was from my Bathurst R, so improvement is there on that front. And it's geared differently to how the NOS setup is. VERY different, so don't think you can just take the NOS off your 8.2/8.3sec Viper and run a mid 9, it doesn't work that way. :sly:

Thanks for that Famine. 👍

@ krklinegvr4 - Telling me times is fine.....but you need photos to back them up however. Go to Las Vegas and see what you can do and come back with a photo (host it on imageshack and link for ease).

9.738 for my very first run in the Viper, no TCS, no ballast, no downforce. Oh, and NA Stage 2 right now because I'm too broke for Stage 3.

EDIT: Now down to 9.678 with a minor gearing change. 9.50s?

EDIT 2: 9.577 still ballast, TCS, and downforce free, although I did move the ballast position slider as it does shift weight around on its own.

just want to ask a question (sorry if i sound like a noob) but what is so special with the Subaru Impreza WRX STi Spec C?? why does it have its own competition here at the 1/4 mile thread??

You should read my first post. ;)

Added bit Oct 06. 2006 - Have created a Spec C only category otherwise the whole 4WD Top 10 will be Spec C's. Any other 4WD car from GTR's to ZZII's to Range Rovers to CTR2's will fit in the 4WD category.

That pretty much cover it?? :)

Basically, the Spec-C is a LOT faster than the rest of the 4WD field by a huge margin because the acceleration bias is unfair. 100hp of NOS on the Spec-C feels like it's 300hp compared to every other car!! If I combined the two fields together I would have 9 out of the first 10 spots belonging to Spec-C's, and a couple more in the Top 15 overall, maybe 11 or 12 out of the 15.

That's why it's kept seperate. :)

No nitrous or cheat devices used. Also, no ballast.

9.153.

pics or it didn't happen. :D

I was going to say the same thing.

So?

I'm just saying that it's possible to run quicker. 8s are possible.

8's are VERY EASILY attainable without NOS. I've already done it with one car last night while testing the 1000m sprint cars but I'll let you ladies fight it out first and improve your times before I unleash it on you guys. ;)

In the meantime, I'll take the Spec-C out and try and take this 9.1 time down. :D I know that did 9.2's without any major tuning.

Pfft, it's just a no-NOS spec-C, it hasn't got the 50000000hp nitrous bottle fitted for 7's. :P

And using a Viper is just sad, getting quick times in them is like shooting fish in a barrel.

Oh, is that so?

Maybe initially, but shaving further time is a pain.

If I really MUST, I'll bring something else to the table. The VSII Nur and TK ZZII are the only cars that even have a shot at 8s without NOS. Well, the Speed 12 might have a chance...

.......That's if you can overcome the wheelspin on the mongrel. ;) R5's melted in T-minus 5,4,3,2.....1.

ZZII would be a good shot, I've never actually taken it out for a fang so couldn't gauge how quick it will be. :odd: VS2NUR would have a chance too.....in I-Runner's hands that is, he's the only one with a mid 7 pass in them. :D The 3KGT is another one in the 9.2's NN and the normal R34 is in the mid 9s aswell NN.

Alright, after much wasting time, I finally got around to resizing the pictures..but low an behold...I ran a MUHC faster time...the time I was gonna submit was an 8.6 second time...but with some additional tuning....I got an 8,333 with nitrous...and I saw the No-Nitrous class and decided to run it also, and ended up with a 9.022...so there it is..and I hope the pictures came through clearly..
