I'm sorry, I hate to keep bringing this up, but I still think the US states should all be color coded separately. There are only 14 states still unaccounted for, but if they all get claimed, then it wouldn't matter what state people say anymore. I think that since the US is unique in having 50 separate states, that the individual states should be filled in according to the key.

I could care less as to how many members are from the entire US. I'm more interested in the actual makeup of US members and what states have the most users. Yes you could post the chart with numbers, but what fun is that? :sly:

Right, I understand the first part of...

But then this...

I don't understand the two parts put together. I am doing it the way it was before.

It would be much easier to understand if he just said as you did.

Just do it the way you like it, you're the one taking the time to do all of this, not everybody else!

I hear ya, I really do! I would like to do it that way also. Currently there wouldn't be a single state with a different color. The effect you are hoping for isn't a reality. At this rate, it will take more than a year to have a "colorful" map of the US. For some reason, even many of the staff members will not put a post in here. :indiff:

As the evidence has shown, I am up for revisions for the good of the map. When it seems worth it, I will make the changes.

Right, I understand the first part of...

England, Uk.

...and I think the United Kingdom deserves the same treatment as the United States,

But then this...

and that should be the way it was before - seperated.

I think buickgnx88 put it more clearly than I - each of the States being counted and thus coloured seperately.

He then continues with a good example of why. As it stands now, there is no way of comparing Alaska to Florida - only the fact that both make up part of the 51 - 75 members from the USA.

Would it be possible to alter the key, giving it smaller incriments?
As it stands now there is little to no chance of any country (other than the USA counted as a whole) reaching 100+ members.

If the colour was to change at say 5, 10, 15, 25 & 40 members, then there would still be three colours shown (even with the states seperated), and the possibility of a fourth quite soon.

Thanks, and I agree, smaller increments would help.

Here is the map with a revised scale. What do you guys think? Do we keep going in this direction?

Sorry about the size. The shack isn't giving me the thumbnail code today.

I like it better. 👍 The smaller scale means there will be more variety in the colors, so it won't look all blue (for as long :P ) or all blue and red.

WHAT...you like the changes?!?! No way, for real?! :sly:

If you haven't posted here, do it! It's not that hard, and I know a lot more people regularly visit the rumble strip than have responded to this poll.

Montreal/Quebec/Canada here!

Woohoo...A new one to color in! 👍

^ Indeed, I am really disappointed in the effort so far. I thought this thing would be hard to keep under control. Not so much.

How about asking the mods if they can make it a sticky? That would help keep it from falling off the first page.

Good call, perhaps you could ask Jordan to mention the thread when people first sign up like he does with the introduce yourself thread?
