That's not a celibacy (the, more or less, voluntary abstinence), but a born with asexuality.
Celibacy is just not having sex - though earlier forms of the word (caelibatus, from caelebs) simply meant unmarried.

There are also several species of animal that can reproduce sexually or by parthenogenesis, such as Timema tahoe (a stick insect species with species-wide celibacy for the last million years) and Varanus komodoensis (the Komodo dragon, recorded undergoing parthenogenesis in captivity).

I didn't say that forms of celibacy aren't happening in nature, just thought that the bee example wasn't the best.

I think it's a better example than species that optionally reproduce parthenogenically - it's a subset of a species that doesn't have sex in order to do its job better, while other members of the species do have sex.

But worker bees aren't born with a sexual/reproduction drive they suppress, or am I wrong?
People who live in celibacy, usually do suppress their normal sex drive, unless they are asexual.

On the other hand, it doesn't matter anyway. lol

Have a look between a man's legs and a lady's legs... we have the same things, with a bit of sense you can see the post-creation evolution. There are probably diagrams on the internet and everything*. What if I told you that you were once neither a boy nor a girl?

The difference is that as a mammal your species has evolved so that your gender is set before you separate from the placenta. Not all life works like you.

*But diagrams just don't do it for me any more.

The bees don't screw other people's children either, so it's not a perfect analogy...
I feel bad for laughing.

Sorry, but I'm lost. You're not telling me anything new, maybe there's a misunderstanding.

By celibacy it is generally meant suppressing sexual needs. Not wanting to have sex at all is different.

As a man of science, I'm quite sure I can affirm there's no significant genetic factor in any form of monosexuality, be it either homo- or heterosexuality. The social nature of sex in the human species would lead me to believe we're all naturally inclined towards bisexualiy, and that monosexuality is nothing but a social construct.

But here's where sociology, psychology and biology all come to punch trying to determine something we barely have any knowledge of. Human sexuality is as mysterious as the depth of the cosmos, and far harder to explore. It surely will be a nice ball of perplexity to unravel.

As a person, I believe homosexual people to be... People. With a sexual orientation that may be different from the average, so what? I'm happy for them if they can get laid.

But then she gets mad because I make her look bad in her turtleneck and jeans.

You've got yourself an interesting conundrum, here. I believe it's called marriage, but having no prior experience with the item, I may be wrong...

Hmmm. Interesting approach.

This country sometimes...

If he wants to talk about an AIDS free world, he ought to look at his straight constituents. They are more prevalent in bigger quantities than gay people.
This is why I stopped paying attention to these... lunatics.

I wonder, if he was Muslim, would the NSA/Department of Homeland Security start barging down his door imminently?

How do you know they aren't tracking him either way?

'Final Solution' is never a good way to title or approach something.

It's cliché to say this, but he really does sound like Hitler proposing a mass genocide of homosexuals.

I just don't understand those people. How someone's brain can actually work like that I will never know.

It all starts with bad parents, a bad community, and an innocent, young, impressionable child that doesn't understand what's right and wrong. Indoctrination needs to stop. It's wrong and I would even consider it to be a form of child abuse.

That's how it starts. Happily, there are more people who can look past his insane plans than ones who agree with the plan.

In my opinion, anyone who MAKES a plan of a genocide of any group of people because of traits/features/etc (even if it doesn't go through) should be arrested. They take their freedom (speech in this instance) for granted. Want to take away someone else's life? Start with the perpetrator.

And so they should. If I wanted to kill all bisexuals because I believed they were deviant then there's no law against that.

I just don't understand religion. If "God" that has the ability to create a perfect universe, why did he decide to make an imperfect universe? If "God" hates homosexuals so much that he asks all of their followers to condemn and kill, why couldn't he just kill them in the first place? If "Satan" is the reason for homosexuality, why couldn't "God" just destroy Satan and use all of the power in the universe to stop people from being homosexual? If "God" is so powerful and wants the human race to believe in him, why hasn't he presented himself in an obvious way to EVERYONE at once?

"Because God does what he wants and all we can do is pray in his name."

"He works in mysterious ways and has a plan for all of us."

Oh really? So his plan is to create life and then teach people to rape, wound, and murder innocent people just for the crime of being an individual? No thank you. You can count me out of the bull:censored: you call a "plan." While you're at it, you can keep me out of your one-sided ideology that only serves to benefit people like yourself and hurt everybody else.
