Props to those who are doing it just for the fun of it, without a doubt the tightest race I’ve had so far! Don’t think I have it in me to run it again for no reward, certainly not anytime soon!

Went in blind with the 458 and struggled with fuel and pace, finishing 8th on my first attempt. Came here and saw @captn slow with recent success using the Huracan so that was my next try and took a very tight 1st with my second attempt. RM, 1 stop 15/15, plenty of short shifting through the second half to get the fuel to last

Yamanaka and Rubilar chasing me down the last 2 laps before they took a last lap pit, then Fraga quickly gaining on my last lap but pulled it off with a little more than a second to spare😅

Decided to knock this one out before some of the other missions in this set as I had heard it was the most difficult of the bunch, now hopefully the rest will be a relaxing cooldown after this!

RM just with one stop?
I did it yesterday on the 911 RM 2 stops lap 10 and 20. Fuel lap 1

Pace 1:59-2:00

Got silver 1.3 seconds behind M6 Rubilar.

Is there a better car after se BoP update. Maybe the RCZ?

Please help. All mission full golded besides this one.

Still an easy win with the RX vision. 2 stop on RM or 1 stop on hards

I just need to get consistent on 1:57. As said before I just lost to M6 Rubilar by 1,3 secs
You don't need to consistently put in 1:57s to win this race. As I explained in a post on the previous page, I can repeatedly win this race with some (just a few) 1:57s, some 1:59s but most in the low 1:58s using the Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept '18 or the NSX GR3.

Thanks 🙏 everyone for the help. Unexpectedly I won the race fastest lap 1:59 consistently at 2:00 (wasn’t feeling the car)

In the Supra!!!

I would say the x2019 Redbull race at Lake Maggiore is harder than this one. At least this race I can consistently get 2nd or 3rd, but that X2019 race I can’t get better than dead last.
Keen to see if any of the updates have changed the Lake Maggiore X2019 Nations Cup race since I last did it, which is probably at least a year ago, I strapped myself into my VR rig and gave it a go (Hard mode, TC0, RS tyres). I can't remember the last time I drove this car so it took me a few test-laps to get used to just how quick it snaps round on the throttle without TC, and how it takes about two laps to warm the tyres. But once I'd got into the habit of being as gentle AF on the throttle out of the hairpins, it was fairly straightforward. Until I took the lead on lap 8, that is, because by that time my tyres were over 50% worn and I really had to focus to keep the thing on its line. By lap 13 my tyres were >95% worn, P2 (yellow and red car) was on my tail and so I had to start driving defensively in to the bends. But I made it over the line in P1 without any major dramas.

So no, I personally don't think that the X2019 Red Bull Nations Cup in Hard mode is anywhere near as difficult as the The Human Comedy 8, which features much more aggressive AI drivers, requires 100% focus for a whole hour, and allows for zero mistakes or penalties (in most cases). Maybe it's because I'm 64 years of age that keeping that focus for an hour is so challenging for me. Whatever though, I maintain that in my experience The Human Comedy 8 is the most challenging race in the game, which is why I like doing it again and again despite there being no reward after the first win.

I will have to retry the x2019 race at Maggiore. Maybe the new physics makes the car actually drivable. All I remember is that the AI likes to pit maneuver you any chance it gets in that race. This Human Comedy race used to have the AI dive bomb you in to turn 1. They didn't really care if they smashed you off the track. Heck, they would do it to themselves as well. When I drove it the other week, everything was very civilized.

I did The Human Comedy 8 again today, in the NSX GR3, just to keep my hand in. I didn't notice any difference in the AI's aggressiveness, but I did notice that Rubilar dropped off his times after I passed him. My laptimes were poor for me, in the mid to low 1:58s without any 1:57s, and even a few 2:00s - I wasn't feeling too good. Ordinarily these times would not have got me a podium, and yet I won this race by over 12 seconds to Rubilar in P2. Based on this one race today, I would say that it has recently got somewhat easier. Has anyone else noticed a change of difficulty?

Remember I won the race last week and Rubilar wasn’t even the 2nd. See my post above.

Like you I enjoyed very much this race because of that, for me 47 years old, being full concentrated 60 minutes, no mistakes and consistent 1:59 it’s very demanding and rewarding afterwards. It feels good even if I don’t win but that feeling of 30 laps “perfect” is satisfying.

Using the GR Supra last week, I had another go at this. Won by just over 30 seconds on hard level, 2 stopping with mediums at laps 10 and 20.

I actually lost about 7 seconds (pretty much my entire lead) in the first stint as my front left was dead because of the heavier fuel load in stint 1, so I think I could try and make this even better/more challenging and try a 3 stopper. It'll cost an extra stop but I'll have better pace at the end of each stint.

In terms of race difficulty, I don't know if it's got easier or, more likely, I've just got better. As I first completed this (at maybe the 4th attempt) a couple of years ago before I got into time trials / online racing / properly practicing and also long before I started using manual gears.
