Yep, that defintely fits under the description of this thread. Nothing says unexpected quite like a harvester...
Suddenly: racing harvesters!

No, the Vectra A (GM2900) was sold as a Cavalier here.A vectra is a totally different model , actually the vectra replaced the cav ... and no it's a Vauxhall
Not only do they race them, but they race them for 24 hours...

Hey Carlos, are you familiar with the AVS Shadow? it didnt work either.
Even a huge wing didnt help. They thought putting the radiators in the wing was a good idea....

The rest of your post is correct, but Astra replaced Kadett, not Rekord, the Rekord was replaced within Opel naming system by Omega (the last Vauxhall Carlton), which later arrived to Vauxhall naming system.(Astra over Rekord)

That was 1991 which was still run under Group A still had some Sierra cosworths around.Yes, there really was a Rover 200 in the BTCC supertouring era. But only briefly.

There's a SsangYong (Actyon Ute) Racing Series that's been running since 2014 over in New Zealand as a support race for the V8SuperTourers. All powered by the old 2.3L Mercedes petrol units first used in the W210 E-Class.
It's only innovation if it works.
And who's to say it won't?
It's only innovation if it works.
Yeah, I know it's a pretty old post, but I'm just now getting to this thread. Anyway, the car looks familiar. The Mac's It Special Can-Am car at Laguna Seca. 4 2-stroke engines, 4 wheel drive. Just a tick slower that the Life F1.
Will it still be FWD?
The car is only FWD as it's traveling in a straight line, and as it's cornering. Any time it needs traction, ie corner exits, the electric motors engage on the rear to make it 4WD.Will it still be FWD?
So it's not innovative because their vendor, Torotrak, made false promises about the capabilities of their system, which meant they had to run with basically 40% of a car through absolutely zero fault of their own? Okay then. It's only innovation if it works.
"It's not RWD."To this day, I still don't get what the fuss is about.
