"Wishful doubting." ;) I guess it's a habit with many here to assume the worst, and then assume it's true. It IS true that nothing has been stated that we are, but that's nothing new. We have no confirmation that we're getting used cars, but no one has assumed we aren't yet.

I'm decently happy enough about Apricot Hill's return, and the Matterhorn circuits.

If the livery editor isn't in GT6, so be it. I won't be basing my decision on whether or not to buy the game on that.

But, I refuse to say "yay" or "nay" on whether it's actually in or not until the release date when I go looking for it.

A Focus ST, Apricot Hill, Matterhorn, Brands Hatch and some of the things announced today will be good enough for me. A new physics system, new tracks, etc. There's a lot that I'd like to see, but I refuse to comment on whether or not it's in. It's just a bunch of negative pessimism or overly unproven naivete, on one side or the other.

Just watch this video from the start to 1:45 more or less...and of course cry.

Need For Speed Rivals (customization...so simple and so good):

Why we can´t have this?...one of the biggest PD mysteries...

I see nothing that says we aren't getting the livery editor. Where do you see something that says we aren't?

I see nothing that says we aren't getting nuclear warheads, rattlesnakes or the Millennium Falcon either. But then again, it would be odd to have public announcements listing things that aren't coming to the game. Usually it's enough to list the things that are coming, and if something is not on the list, people will assume that it's not in the game.

I'll just leave this here.

Those orange mirrors and window banner sure are strange...

And it's still an assumption, regardless.

A feature that they know the community has wanted and even talked about it in interviews not shown...

Are you trying to say that it's PD saying Merry Christmas by withholding such a feature that would be quite big to the series. Why are some fans over optimistic...

@ Snaeper: That is a Scirocco Race Car with its race livery. Same happens with the Renault Megane Trophy Race Car.

And it's still an assumption, regardless.

They're both assumptions at this point (that a livery editor will be, or that a livery editor won't be in GT6), but the lack of any mention strongly suggests that one of them is correct, and will remain to do so until something else has appeared.

As I was saying, I refuse to speak one way or another.

If I take one side, I'm a pessimist and an underwhelmed GT fan.

If I take the other, I'm over-optimistic and naïve.

I'd rather not be either, is all I'm saying.

No you're not pessimistic, this isn't some empathy trip like some people try to pull here. At this moment in time, the evidence that has been seen shows that we aren't getting one and probably wont get one. If this was back in April or May, I could understand this one way or the other, but it is far more ideal and realistic to say that it's more likely we wont get it. Now we just have to hope it gets patched or is just being fine tuned for GT7. That last statement is realistic optimism.

Also the way you are saying "well we could still get one :indiff:" and then say well I'm not going either way...seem like a contradiction.

Why not say, "well you guys could be right, but so could they" but instead you sound like you still are holding out hope for a livery editor. Not sitting on the fence

We have no confirmation that we're getting used cars, but no one has assumed we aren't yet.

Because used cars are a repeated feature of the GT series from the very beginning that has only been absent in the one game that didn't have enough cars to make use of one, and a livery editor... isn't. I mean, you could assume that used cars won't be in GT6, but no one has directly asked about used cars only to be bluffed off with a non-answer followed by no sign of an announcement regarding them.

This ^

Not to be rude but is critical thinking sparse? Even common sense?

Good call, I guess I was struck by the fact that the car looks black in that picture. And I know the only other color the Scirocco's raced in was Red (and those were the CNG or whatever specialty gas models).

EDIT: Actually, are you completely sure? The front bumper on the Scirocco has a big white Castrol Sticker on it... and that car seems to be decidedly black and devoid of white stickers.

Also the Renault's have black mirrors and banners, so it can't be that... unless there are alternate liveries.

I'm amazed to get up this morning and continue to find people defending PDs choice not to have a livery editor.

Yeah, there's the faintest hope that there still might be one. But I'd bet on Santa landing on my roof bringing me half a dozen beach bunnies before I'd put money on that.

Why would PD include the metallic blue cars with "special" liveries that are fictitious, basic, and completely identical if a livery editor would render them instantly obsolete?

The only logical answer to that question is that there is no livery editor.

The closest thing to a livery editor hinted at in the trailers has been those metallic blue paint schemes with the squiggles down the centre of the car. I'm going to predict that it's available on select cars with a paint chip.

I don't see a livery editor being included.

They are a line of cars that come with 15th anniversary pack.

I figured. My question is: What incentive is there to buy the 15th Anniversary Pack if you could recreate those relatively simple liveries with a livery editor?

It means that
A: There is no livery editor
Or
B: its an exclusive livery
A is most likely of course

But if the answer is B, wouldn't that make the livery editor useless? A worthwhile livery editor would be able to replicate any livery. Just look at Forza, plenty of Polyphony related liveries on there.

One livery style would never make an editor useless...the point of livery is distinction. No one wants to look like the next car. If there was an editor, this particular style would be most likely excluded and should be.

The point is a pre order incentive are cars with a preset livery. If people could make their own those preset ones wouldn't be too desirable would they? If you could paint any livery you wanted, why would you desire those premade ones?
