there's is no way for sure to tell if we'll get a livery editor, even though it was hinted.

You mean other than the Megane being one of the cars with a "Base Model", and throughout the massive information blowout on the official site, there isn't even one hint or mention of a livery editor? I mean, yes, it's technically possible, but that'd be a massive feature to keep quiet about - if PD is bragging about a starry sky, I certainly expect the introduction of one of the most-asked-for features to be at the very least confirmed.

I'm thinking the "Base Models" are pretty much what Kaz was talking about in relation to his old "wait until TGS" comment regarding livery editors. It's really not much different than what many people were already doing in GT5 with the hacked car painting, though I guess it seems the BM's will have slightly different, minimal liveries versus their normal versions.

I agree with you about what Kaz said and the base models being that begin livery @SlipZtrEm though I do wonder if the cars are painted from the base model do we get a livery option or is it static. Both car clearly had different markings.

I think the livery editor will be like What GT2 had when you race modified a car you had a selection of 2 pre made liverys, I think this will be the same for GT6 with Race Modifying cars and base models.

Even though these cars are the same, there's is no way for sure to tell if we'll get a livery editor, even though it was hinted. You'll also notice that windshield logo covers aren't the same.

Thats because the black one is a Base Model, like a RM in GT5 I think.. So, the car is able to be painted with a base color, a number and nothing more.. I believe that the black Megane is from a customization as the GT5 was..

So far, we dont have any proof about the livery editor, only the words that Kaz said, more or less "we will can put stickers in the cars" but we havent seen anything yet.. We gotta wait!

Look, it says "to name a few". Guys, I think this could be a hint that there is more to come! :D Because the Tuning Parts, Custom Parts and all the other stuff is shown in the article about the car service stuff. But the things that aren't "named" are not in the article. My optimism has been grown... :D

@RIKY-WRC you should have done a little research to find where I got those photos. There were from a previous dealing with MASS GT6 information release, no need to assume something "It's not good"

Thanks @Nico_Ble99, you're raised my hope meter from 1% to 2% ;p

Yes.👍... I would love the livery editor from Forza

Last one I played was Forza 2 and that Livery Editor was amazing. Recreated the classics with that!

I don't think that anything like a livery editior will be implemented in GT6 as we would have heard about it by now. Shame though.

:indiff:, Ithink you are right.:(

The new Forza's only been out a couple of days, and already throwing into stark contrast that which is completely missing in GT.

Didn't Kaz at one point say that they don't pay any attention to the competition? Well, you really should, Kaz... you really should. Because they're doing some things better than you, things that the players want.

I personally think a livery editor isn't something pd will do, or at least not in the way we would expect. Kaz doesn't want weenies all over the cars or anything that would remove the seriousness of the GT series to be diminished.

If I'm even mildly correct, then why can't we simply have stickers and other pre defined decals we can put on predefined areas of a car? At the very least, choosing my own sponsors/stickers would still be cool and more unique than a perfectly clean car.

Any means to personalize more than parts would be cool... Heck, I would buy livery packs if that was as far as they were willing to go and pretend I joined a team or something.

That concern hasn't held water since Forza 3 so you can and many others can drop that now.

I think it does. Kaz is on a different plain than gamers and is all about authenticity. Forza is not... And I'm a huge Forza fan btw... Up through 4 anyway.

Kaz has never played Forza as that's what he told Dan a few years ago when they met.

But you are right from a consumer pov, but GT does not get influenced by traditional consumerism unless its point out something that contradicts his vision or was already on pd road map. GT 5 spec 2.0 was not a reaction to feedback, it was likely always planned.

So yes, we might think its fine as consumers, but no, PD has never reacted to "game features" or adjusted his scope in reaction to what someone else is doing...

But don't take my word for it, let's wait and see. Consider it a predictive assumption.

The "penis on car argument" is terribly flawed mostly because another console game, NASCAR 09, had something even better: Paint booth, where you imported your paint schemes into the game via the server and through all the visiting of the communities, I never spotted one car with a penis on it. The point I make is the whole thing is essentially an irrational and exxadurated fear based on one or two sightings from one immature idiot (which I'm sure hasn't made a comeback ever since) and therefore, its kinda nothing more then excuse not to have a livery editor.

Also, I really would like for developers to embrace the Paint booth idea. We're now on the next gen console and its about time people got a new option with far more control of what they want to create.
