The Le Mans General Discussion Thread

The rumors are P1s running IN North America, in some type of series not related to USCR. I dont see it as a definite, but do see there is interests from teams in NA who want to run these cars.

I *snip* do see there is interests from teams in NA who want to run these cars.
Just not as much interest as there once was.

Hey, who knows, in the future there could be a P1 class here in the US (USCR) once the money/interest/world economy turns around.
As long as there is a P1 class in existence it wouldn't be out of the question.

I'm kinda hoping that these new P1 regs are gonna do wonders for the amount of manufacturer teams. IMO, if this does happen, I don't think it'll be too long before we see P1's back at Sebring at the very least, maybe more.

Mike Conway replaces Ryan Briscoe, Ryan Dalziel/Alex Popow in #68 TRG Porsche GT3, Risi out due to damage from Lime Rock.

did anyone see the end of today's race ? wow what a finish between the vette and the viper ..
Yes it was quite the finish.
I found Franchitti's run on new tires FTW entertaining as well.
Is there a way to listen to the non-Creamer version of the commentary?
TV coverage has other commentary.

Actually I listen to the radio (Creamer) coverage during TV commercials at times.
I find it funny (useless) that they both have the same interviews throughout the coverage.

Hopefully we will get better TV coverage after the merger.
(spoke of in the other thread)

Oh, thanks for pointing that out, cnd! I totally missed that. I saw something about "we won't make it to Road..." and didn't read the whole thing to realize they meant Road America.

Bummer that we wont get to see them again over here. They've been the only ones who can go toe-to-toe with Muscle Milk for the past year or so... also the most friendly at the Autograph session...

I wonder who they'll pick up to replace Jani...

And yeah cnd, we get it. ACO-rules racing is the spawn of Satan, bla bla bla....

I hope Dyson can compete with MM next year when being competitive costs slightly less. I never realized their second Lola machine was a reconfigured P2 car to begin with...or so they said during the Mosport race. Yeah looking forward to next year for at least a couple of reasons :P

That 2nd Lola is rather old though... Especially when Level 5 can kick out for the newest spec each year...

I hope that SOMEONE brings a Morgan back over, so I'll have someone to cheer for. Conquest was a brilliant team...

Don't see how Rebellion are 'pulling out' of something they never officially entered  I never expected their presence to begin with. Just an added bonus imo.

I'll happily take his place, my only demands are... nothing. On a side note, I bought a cool Core Autosport shirt last week, it came in today and I got 3 posters with it, one of which was personally signed by John Bennett and Colin Braun, talk about customer service

Well, I'm hoping they *sell* both P1 cars and invest in an HPD or Morgan or SOMETHING, since I assume P2 is much more affordable/more bang for buck.

Also, Seth, I guess I have been overly optimistic about their participation levels, which is probably why I got disappointed. 👍

I doubt an actual GT3 C7 will look exactly like that, but I approve!

That Callaway C7 is amazing really!

I mean, look at those fenders and the widebody is perfect.👍 I think Callaway and Pratt and Miller need to work together on the C7.R Race Car.
