The Le Mans General Discussion Thread

They have Toyota engines, maybe they could collaborate on a system, or they could buy one. Remember Hope Racing? They had a Flybrid in their car, I guess Rebellion could talk to them.

I guess I just have the fantasy that a privateer team with a budget that is a drop in the bucket compared Audi, Porsche, or Toyota could at least compete with them and challenge for a spot on the podium.

Well, to be fair, one of the Rebellions did beat one of the Audi's in last years Le Mans. Or was it 2012? Can't remember. In any case, they got 4th, beating a single one of the R18's, which is fairly impressive.

Wait for the R-One, the Lola is a 2013 car, so it's not surprising they're so off the pace.

@G.T.Ace I do acknowledge the age of the Lola, but I'm referring to lack of a hybrid system for the R-One.

I haven't read much on the R-One other than seeing the pictures and engine but do you think it's going to be any different that the last few years of works vs private?

The FIA have said that they will BOP the Privateers if necessary. They are not expected to compete with the manufacturers but to beat a manufacturer car that is delayed.

Which tire is the #8 on?

Slicks.

Which pits and it has started raining again.

Uhh, this is just not a good day for Audi. Nr. 2 Audi, which also happens to be the last Audi in the race, is in the barrier.

Edit: Uhem. This wasn't a double post when I posted it :D

An incompetence of Audi's?

Driver being chased around my a marshal? This gets better and better.

Is this is the same Audi team that has owned this race for the last couple of years?
