The Le Mans General Discussion Thread

As suggested by his addition to the FIA driver rankings, Emerson Fittapaldi will return to driving in the WEC at Sao Paulo, in the #62 Ferrari.

I'm back to make one comment about the Nissan LMP1 program for next year:

Yeah, take everything you think you know about LMP1, and throw it out the window. That about sums it up.
You **** ******** ** ***** ******** **** and your Yamauchi-like ***** *** **** ***** ****!!!!

I understand you have a job to keep and all, though. S'cool. Did you recognize the test pilot?

What is it literally like a GT car on a LMP1 tub or something?

Come to think of it, the last iteration of the JAF GT500 spec GT-R's were pretty prototype-like...

Make room for one more GT-Resque race car. During that test this passed Tuesday in Aridzona, any GTAcademy drivers show up?

We definitely should be getting word and spy pics shortly.

Honestly from the "teaser" earlier of the car under a tarp maybe it will be a crazily modified GT-R.

All spies on deck! Capture the Nissan GT-R LMP1-H car! :P

Autosport reporting Michael Krumm was the sole pilot of Nissan's lmp1 during their roll out. The rumored first test is in the 2nd week of December at Sebring! Bring your cameras guys!

In other lmp1 news, Mike Conway is in for Kaz Nakajima at Brazil because visa issues for the Japanese driver.

Just posting this photo again...

Am I still the only person intrigued by the cockpit placement?

Yeah, what in the world is going on there? Is it a car you lay in?

I don't see anything odd at all under that wrap. It looks like a mid engined, open top p1 car.
I suspect that that wrap i bogus.
I also suspect that we will see a front wheel driven LMP1 car for the first time. One that is wider in the front than the rear, with rear wheels driven by electricity above 120kph. Sort of an R18 turned backwards. Oh, front engined too.
