If GT1 won't work, why not reclassify either GTE or GT3 to GT1 and the other to GT2?

Because there's no need to, and that's now how it works. If GT1 won't work, why not reclassify either GTE or GT3 to GT1 and the other to GT2?
Have you seen the state of some of the cars in France?Personally, I think they should change the rules slightly to say that all of the cars must be road legal in France and capable of getting over a speed bump, as to me that seems the whole point of sports car racing. Turning it back into a 90s style supercar series would not be a good idea.
Well, if all entrants are invites only, it would be up to ACO to decide who races each season. And that championship would die after about 2 seasons, or the category 1 and a half if lucky.

Since a mfg driven class would be updated prior to each season, a class like that could change according to demand.
So you want companies to invest what will be 10's of millions into 1 race for the chance they may get to enter (which is basicly the same format as Le Mans already is but they team it up with Tudor/ELMS/ALMS so companies have more use than one race out of the cars)Well, if all entrants are invites only, it would be up to ACO to decide who races each season.

Again with this? The Nissan P1 will be amazing! All I can say is it will be game changing.
And when will we get an official unveil?Take everything you know and love about lmp1 and throw it out the window
They are planning on unveiling it in a Super Bowl ad if I'm not mistaken. And when will we get an official unveil?

Decent step in the right direction but would be cool if there's an official series of stock hypercars with slick tyres and a fair BoP.Hey, not sure if you guys realized, but the SRO are basically going to have glorified track days for those hyper cars and development vehicles like the Veyron, 918, Ferrari XX cars and P1 GTR. GT3 and GTE cars are cheaper that's why they have lots of competitors and why people stopped using GT1's, not because GT1 are bad or something.I suppose because just the name of GT1 will have that association of a rather bad past with it?
Nissan LMP1Seriously, I know Turbo told me not to say this, but Nissan is planning on doing some real dark ceremonial stuff pre-race. They're gonna burn three mock ups of a Porsche, Toyota and Audi while dancing in a circle around a big war drum and a lot of fire before baptizing each driver in blood and full synthetic.
Not trueGT3 and GTE cars are cheaper that's why they have lots of competitors and why people stopped using GT1's, not because GT1 are bad or something.
Yes it is. Aston DBR9, Maserati MC12, Saleen S7R are more expensive than a Porsche GT3.Not true
No they aren't a vantage GTE is 100k and approx 50 more man hours to build compared to what a GT1 DBR9 was. Also then V12 Vantage GT3 has to be cut apart and another section added in to make it longer whereas GT1 cars used the standard shell.Yes it is.
