The Le Mans General Discussion Thread

I'm honestly surprised that Nissan were testing the car at a location as exposed as COTA obviously is considering how secretive they'd been previously. Also, can any body direct me to satellite imagery of the Nissan test facility in Arizona that it's been running at? I'm curious.

Normally I don't correct others spelling mistakes outside of jest, but this is a special occasion.

According to this, the Nissan will have a 550 horsepower production GT-R engine driving the front wheels and a 1000 horsepower flywheel system driving the rears for a total of 1550 horsepower. If they're right...
Maybe FF with a petrol powerplant plus electric power to the rear wheels?
Called it.

That looks word for word on a certain pm doesn't it @Furinkazen ;)

Also I'd like to see how they worked out the 100-200 in 3.5 considering we don't know the drag co or the gear ratio or the diff ratio etc etc

Guest who really wants a drive and the one who really doesn't give a tos!

Wolf. "Look am I doing good?"
Lucas."please let me drive!"
Jann. "Why am I here, I have a GP3 race this weekend?"

Aren't the regulations stating that the front wheels can only be driven from 125 km/h?

There isn't even a clear picture...how can you tell and what's so hideous about current cars?

They are tiny and uneven. For example, the old R18 looks much better then the new. The same goes to the TS040.

And about the Nissan, even without a clear image, I think that Jalopnik render gives a good idea about the actual car. And, to my eyes, that is a hideous looking car. Sorry.

Have you not seen the recent picture of the car? There a video if you scrole up!
