Well it doesn't have to be pretty to be fast.

Some say that a certain car is ugly without a clear image...but then again people say a lot of strange things just for saying sake.
As for the R18 unless you look at it for several minutes on end the variations aren't that easy to see and they basically look like the same car. So not sure how it's currently ugly, or uneven...
Yes, they are the same thing. I was wrong and you are right, always right.

A win is unlikely for their first year, front engined or not.but the Nissan's not going to win, or even be in contention.
Considering the Petrol engine is alot smaller then the rear mounted Electric engine I guess that wouldn't exactly count.Your 312T4 has the wrong number on it...
Still... since 1963, a mid-engined car (or rear engined, in the case of the 935s) has won Le Mans. That' 52 years in a row.
I don't want to jump to conclusions, and quote me back when the race is done in June, but the Nissan's not going to win, or even be in contention.

Ah... yeah. Should have guessedOf course it will not, logical people are fully aware of that.
But I've been reading posts here and elsewhere that seem to think this GT-R LM is god's gift to motorsport...

There are other classes besides LMP1-HY?Its not, but having another P1 manufacturer that could well be competitive is exciting, but is getting rather annoying,
Surely there's some P2 or GTE news that is just as interesting or exciting,
There are other classes besides LMP1-HY?

Actually its "Le Mans" Prototype 1 Hybrid if you want to be pedantic.Since that class doesn't exist anymore (and btw think you mean LM P1-H) ...yes. Yes there are.#pedant
LosersSomewhat related question: What does the L in P1-L stand for?
FIATwo types of LMP1 will be eligible for the 2014 season:
LMP1-L: The category is reserved exclusively for independent private teams.
- LMP1-H (Hybrid)
- LMP1-L (Light)
A team that is independent of a manufacturer means a team that does not benefit from any support from a manufacturer other than for the single supply of engines, services relating to these engines or commercial support. Any support from a manufacturer relating to the chassis or to chassis systems is prohibited. It is understood that traction control is considered as a chassis system.
I really feel that Rebellion are wasted and that they can't ever win because of the factory team budgets. It'd be much better to see them do well in LMP2 or running a GT team.

Because in the current class they are guaranteed a Le Mans win.why cant rebellion buy a hybrid drivetrain? i remmeber reading that HPD made a hybrid drive train to sell to private teams. that plus the Oreca built R-ONE has got to make them competitive at lest?
fair enough. i would have thourt that winning in a class with only two cars in (both of whitch are whith the same team) wouldn't get you much prize money when you win.Because in the current class they are guaranteed a Le Mans win.
