I'm a little concerned about the drivers who see the Aston Martin art car in their rear view mirror.

Or maybe they'll only run it between around 1:00 and 5:00 AM. (probably aging myself with that comment).

Maybe that's the reason why they painted that way. Imagine someone driving behind this thing for 24 hours.
Poor GTE Pro Drivers.

I don't have a problem with the art per se, I may very well love it though I am unfamiliar with him, I love Escher. I am just saying that the artists stated interests: distorted perception, optical effects, camo and visual confusion do not sound like positive attributes for a race car livery. Especially one that is to run through day/night, rain, fog whatever for 24 hours straight. Seems like quite the opposite of what you want for a livery, I hope the drivers don't have much of a view of that long hood for hours on end!

The problem is with the visual confusion thing, since ACO Le Mans goes nazi on safety measures I'm quite surprised they allow a car with a paint scheme that potentially could create issues to other drivers.

It's OK the 458 dodgy driver brigade will probably scrape all that paint off before too long!

Eurosport shows the entire race, I think. Plus Le Mans Legend. They show the practice right now.

According to radio le mans yesterday, the Nissan makes 475 bhp from the V6. Since they are not running the hybrid system either on test day or the race, getting the top speed in the traps is very impressive.

Nissan have been saying that the ICE makes 550hp. It's such a pity that they are not using the hybrid system.

Could they use it on just 1 car? If so then it's surely worth a shot. What do they have to lose?

Brah...it isn't awkward when this is your first race with a new LMP1 when you haven't made one ever (to these regs). Just ask Aston Martin when they thought they could do better than Lola.

The 3 Nissans have done, combined, so far with 45 minutes left in practice, only 2 more laps than the #7 Audi alone.

So yeah, still some teething problems I guess.

Cool story. But its a shame that Ford Gt will be handicapped as hell to compile with Gte regulations. Its seriously uncool when race car have less power than road car.

Oh and eco boost Ford Gt, please no.

No, but they did announce that they would be faster than the P2's which most of us thought was setting the bar pretty low and they have yet to reach that high. If they don't do something about dragging the bottom of the cars it looks like they will burst into flames long before they make 24 hours.
