The Lion's Den - California Now Released

Interesting car choice, looking forward to giving it a go. 👍

A go?:dopey: Wow, so do I hope for a review, or just await a 👍 or 👎 (I haven't had a voluntary review [proper review] in weeks). It's good that people drop in to compliment tunes and all, and I'm glad that I can help make them faster, but a proper review is always the best.;) (I read you don't have much time on your hands lately, so don't out-do yourself.:) )

Actually from reading your comment from the showdown thread and this worries me, so I plan to give several of your cars reviews, some I already drive just never wrote anything about it liek the R8 and some always wanted to try like the S2k, so you can look for some reviews by next week.

Awesome.👍 :D I'm just about to check if there's new events, and maybe start thinking about new cars.:)

Nd4Golden......I've got alot your tunes for many cars....but yesterday I gave a go on your Z06TunedConcept749pp.....my God!!! Amazing. I've won so many races with your tune it's not even funny. I mean even agains the GTs I still won...some GtPs members were just amazed how I drove it. Tomorrow I will be getting the wheel and I have a feeling that I am gonna go even faster!!! Thanks once again for the awesome setup!

No problems, thanks for the compliments. I too want to get a wheel soon, but it may take a couple of months.:) Good to hear you are winning races with a TLD vehicle too.:)

Thanks nd 4 holden spd for the Ford GT Testcar tuning.

great set up,every time I adjusted something ,it only got worse.:dopey:

I will try some more tuners in the future.

Cheers.

Thankyou for the compliment. I could be mistaken, but I think you're the first moderator to ever drive one of my cars.:) It certainly took a lot of tuning to tame that one, but it got there in the end.

Edit: I've been looking at my setup on the Viper/Tuned, and I'm going to see if I can't make it a bit better. It does look like I did sme things even I question, so perhaps there is room for improvement.:)

Edit 2: I just modified the Viper/Tuned a little. The biggest help came from a change in the rear daper setting, just as I thought it would. Ride height and rear toe have also been changed. Let's win a Showdown.:D And of course have some friendly driving while we're there.;)

And of course, any feedback on how I can make it better would be hugely appreciated.

Edit 3: And now I just applied the same damper treatment to the Corvette/Tuned, funny how these cars like the same damper setup.;)

Description: This RWD converted Skyline is not an official TLD model, hence no TLD designation, and no TLD logos. When someone came in with his drift car and said he wanted to try grip racing most of us at TLD laughed.....hard. When he opened a briefcase full of money we could hardly refuse though, and so we took it out to Suzuka to begin testing and tuning. Naturally TLD had to figure a lot of things out, because when you have a chassis designed for AWD, turned RWD, an engine designed for drifting, with bucket loads of power and torque in any revs, and chassis modifications used expressly for drifting, the car gets extremely confused when you try and make it grip the road, and so it's very reluctant to do so. Never the less, TLD has worked its magic, played its cards, and came out with the setup you see here. TLD specialise in grip racing for nearly all purposes, and as this is hardly a grip car, that's why it is not an official TLD model. That doesn't stop drifters out there trying grip racing, and we want to give them the best chance at doing it properly, so have fun in you insane ride, but don't come crying when you start spinning the wheels at 250km/hr, spin out, and total your car- that's your choice to race this car at those speeds, and we did our best to stop you from dying.

Here we go!!! I was waiting for this tune!! I am gonna try this bad boy right now and let you know how it handles!!! I've got today my DrivingForceGT and I can't wait to put it to the test. Just finished up my cockpit too!

Thankyou, if I may ask, try driving it stock, and then apply my tune to see the difference.;)

Hehe that's exactly what I did!! It's like a totally different car. Don't get me wrong...I love stock since it's a very well balanced drift car but I knew that someone would come up with a tune to make this car a real racing car!!! Your tune is amazing. With the wheel now.....words can't describe how amazing this car is to drive. I will come up with a review tomorrow. Stay tuned guys! :P

Sounds good, I look forward to your full review.:D

Hey i got a problem :P, i''m racing quite well with my dodge on high speed ring now, but my friends have started doing Suzuka and this is a hard track for my dodge with all the turns, so i need to get my speed from the only two straight parts in that track.
So could you hook me up with a nice setup for 600PP Suzuka for the Dodge SRT10 ? I know it's gonna be tough but can you try for me?

TLD,
I had the opportunity to try your Corvette Z06/tuned 749PP tune and I thought I would give you some feedback on it. First off you have made it a wonderful car to drive. The car is well mannered in most of the turns and has plenty of speed in the straight. As you say the backend will come around if you don’t pay attention and take it easy with the throttle. One thing I did have a problem with was getting the car moving at the start without spinning the tires. The workaround I found was (I didn’t want to change any of your settings) to dial in some traction control at the start then turn it off after I get moving. Now, if I could learn to keep the back end from coming around coming out of the Degner curve at Suzuka I’ll be a happy camper.
You have done an excellent job taming this beast. Thanks for the tune that even a novice driver like myself can handle easily and even win a race or two.

I gave you Skyline Sedan a quick drive around Suzuka. Great tune, this car would have been a contender, too bad there's no more 500PP. :(

I was wondering, were you planning on updating your Ferrari 512BB tune to the S2 restrictions? I would love to take on the evos in a Ferrari around Fuji.

Please review one of my cars first before I make you a request car.:) If you do that for me, I'd also need to know what tyres we're talking about here, as the 600 PP Suzuka is currently obsolete.

Thankyou for the review.:dopey::D I turn on the traction control for the launch only as well. As soon as I hit 2nd gear it's off. I do this in any car, launching otherwise is rather tricky. Glad you're enjoying my favourite car in this game.:)

Tis a sad story indeed, I didn't think PD would drop 500 PP, but now the tune is meaningless. Thanks for the compliment.👍

I doubt I shall update any setups, as those setups are still valid should the events they were made for return. If you could be so kind as to write a review f one of my cars, I'd happily make a new one for you.:)

NOTICE
I started driving from the interior view the other day, so any tunes I release and you are having trouble with, just let me know so I can fix them for you. I'm not sure but I do fear that the new view might inhibit my tuning ability. I doubt it but it's possible.

Oh man !! you been missing out !! :) In car is where its at... I admit when tuning and going for best possible lap times front bumper is quickest but I think you miss out on the dimensions of the car and seeing just how close you can be when racing door to door.. what view were you using ??

For kicks I tried racing in the outside-behind-the-car view and while i dont like it, it does give perfect spacial awareness of cars to your side when you are side by side..could be useful for overtaking under brakes and through corners :)

Chase view is nice for overview, but in any of the other views you're aware of any oversteer/understeer earlier, making it easier to correct. At least that's what I experienced. ;)

Yeah, I dislike the major delay you get with chase view, especially when turning around corners, theres about a second or so difference of when you can see around the apex between bumper and chase.

I used to use the roof view because it had a better view of the road and around you than the bumper camera, but I ended up using the bumper camera because its the one with the rear view mirror. If they put in a rear view mirror for the roof camera, I would go back and use it.

I dont have a HDTV, so the cockpit view is pretty awful for racing online, because I cant see the mirrors as well.

I was trying the interior view, but time trials don't lie. I admit you can feel understeer or oversteer earlier, but I can't help but be 0.5-1.0 sec slower from the interior then I am in chase view. I don't know why, but you can't seem to feel the limits as easily.

Nice video again doblocruiser.👍 I hope you can make the Showdown this weekend, been a while since we raced on track together.:)

Lotus Elise 111R/Tuned 750PP Review

What can I say about this car, the best handling car in the whole game was just made totally accessible, the only thing I can think of comparing this car is to a surgical knife, it's all about precission you cna put this car in the exact spot you want it to be, it's very balanced and doesn't do anything you're not expecting, you won't believe the speeds that this car can achieve through the corners, the few downsides I can see about driving this car is first of all you will need some practice with it to be at it's full potential but trust me it's well worth the effort and second the straight line speed is, as you could guess, not that good, but in a race you could be so ahead of the competition that it will just not matter, one of my favorite cars to drive in the game. 9/10

I can't really put to words how much I like this car/tune thanks a lot for this one N4HS:D.

Audi R8 600PP Review

Ok so the R8 you've probably come around quite a lot in 600PP as it's sumply put one of the easiest cars to drive in this category, and it's not only pretty easy but it's very very fast also, this car grips like there's no tomorrow with a little understeer from here to there but no big deal, most of the time I use this car is that I'm in the mood of some sunday driving, as it is very forgiving and still manage to be pretty fast.

So the cons about this car, a little understeer from time to time but no biggie, not that great straight line speed(the Imprezas can give you a hard time with this), and something I've noticed on every R8 (stock, TLD,DC) it has some twitchyness under heavy braking something to keep in mind in tracks like Suzuka. 8.5/10

Thanks for the 2 reviews.:D I could eliminate some more understeer in that R8, at a cost of drive in low speed corners.

I don't think the understeer is that bad, and some of that understeer provides that forgivingness even though it would feel more agile if you eliminate it, anyway, if you change it I would like to test it, hope we get Suzuka 600PP back in the next update.

Just a quick thanks to Holden for the TLD setups, I've been using the 111R/Tuned setup in recent events and it's a brilliant machine. Absolutely devours the corners!

Kudos for other setups too, I've made good use of the Alfa 147, Integrale and Audi R8 in the past too. The only time I've self-tuned a car better is for the BMW Z4 and London 500PP, where my setup gives me less understeer (until they removed that event I was a bit of a four-wheel-drift demon there...)

You'r welcome, glad they are still getting workouts.:)

Been trying the Elise 111R/tuned again earlier today, it completely kills everything in the corners. The amount of people I've overtaken around the outside in the esses or exiting 130R from sheer corner speed is ridiculous! Must be the quickest cornering car in the game.

I believe it is. It's a real hoot to drive too.
