Mine was pretty generic. :( (totally not lucid...)
Way too long to describe fully, the only interesting part Is where another guy and I had a standoff with hedge cutters.:D

Let's have a 1-day competition; quite simple really. Who has the best dream tonight(?) :D

Mine will either be pretty insane, very interesting, or massively boring.

Very boring dream last night. I can't even remember what happened.

Weird, my dream was an idea for a GTPlanet thread =P

The competition was so bad, that you win this time. :D:tup:

Roll on tonight (I'll sleep after I watch Celebrity Bedlam ;)).

Another quite helpful thing I've achieved; is that I know when I'm about to wake up (during a Lucid Dream AND a 'normal' dream). Advanced Dreaming FTW! :D

Why don't you guys try and use the lucid dreams to find out more about yourself? Ask yourself in the dreams, "What makes me happy?" Or things like, "Show me who I really am" and see how the images around you change to answer your question/request. Your own subconscious showing your inner self. Might seem a bit "spiritual" but lucid dreaming is a whole lot more than driving your favorite car or being rich. (But I'm not saying I haven't done those before :sly:)

I think most of us still need to learn to become fully Lucid and in full control, It's going to take me personally some getting used to if I choose to be a dreamer.. xD

It sounds cool though!

Lucid dreaming sound cool.
Any experiences anyone would like to share?

I imagined gaming took a whole new step forward and organized a massive 1,000 player war. Classic Red vs. Blue, I was in Blue. The game was a sort of virtual reality, and it was 99% realistic simulation. The 1% unrealistic part was respawning after 30 minutes. I imagined a massive city alongside a coastline with a mountain valley surrounding it as our battlefield. We had tanks, jets, jeeps, boats, battleships, helicopters, all in our disposal. We were defending in Round 1. The map was divided into 3 sectors, the team on offense were supposed to hold a position for a 5 minutes, and they hold it by having 50+ people in a designated area. It was a 3 hour limit for each sector. Each team had 500 players. There were 2 rounds.

Round 1
We had 5 minutes of preparation, it was a sort of D-Day like moment. The other team was supposed to arrive on the beach. I was in a squad of about 30-40 people. We took I think it was the raised highway near the beach. We had turrets and RPGs, and we were defending the beach from the other team. think of it like D-Day. The designated area was a massive fort in the beach. They outflanked us and managed to defend the area. Sector 1 was the beach, and they managed to take it.

Sector 2 was the city, and we had another 5 minutes to prepare. The designated area was Town Hall. Our squadron prepared along the massive skyscrapers with the ground troops in the buildings, and it was hectic. Tanks were rampaging around the city, jets were having dogfights above us, and were crashing into the buildings. Ground troops were having shootouts in the streets, and took cover in cars. Transport jeeps were continuously used as covers/turrets and it was a bottleneck. We held them off until the last 10 minutes. They managed to outflank us AGAIN and we lost sector 2.

Sector 3 was the mountain valley. It was more of a vehicle based battle, and our squad was the helicopter squad. My chopper got shot down but I managed to bail out and shoot 10 guys with my pistol. I was injured, but I survived the round, calling the medics in my radio.

Round 2
We were now attacking. Sector 1 was chaos. I got killed twice and we were pinned down on the beach. It really did seem like D-Day, and our jets were our saviors. They took down the artillery and mortars, and also the vehicles. Choppers transported more ground troops and medics to help, which meant we were able to push until we reached the designated area - the fort.

Sector 2 made sector 1 look like boot camp. We were pinned down on the streets, and we lost all our aerial support. They all crashed into the buildings, which took out snipers for us, but also made getting through the rubble much harder. We were so pinned down, we lost. It was a tie - so I made up a sudden death round. Every person in each team in a field. Each person only has a pistol with 3 bullets. I made it in the top 10, but I woke up when I was shot.

Lucid dreams are amazing.

Play COD much?

Anyways that dream Is too normal to be one of mine.:)

Well, I had a dream last night.
Well I wouldn't really call it as a special dream since almost every lad on this planet has had them.

Well anyways. I had those "Met the girl of my dream's, dream." it was actually one of my best to be honest.

True, they are rather common  (It's awkward when it's someone you actually know :scared:). Some time ago, I tried to initiate my ability to lucid dream. One tactic I remember trying was drawing an A on the back of my hand (A stood for "awake" but I guess it would work with any kind of mark). Every once in a while I would notice it and then check my surroundings. I have since given up in my efforts but I think I should start again, simply because I really want to be able to lucid dream.

This morning as I was lying in bed, I was half-asleep. I was aware that I was dreaming, but I didn't have any control over it. If I really wanted to, I could have probably gone into a lucid dream, but for some reason I didn't. I really think intention and willpower is 90% of the battle.

Well, all of my instances only lasted for a couple of seconds before I managed to "break out" of it... except for one.

In that particular situation, I had a nightmare where I was sitting on my computer in the evening and knew that my parents were in the sauna, but when I looked out from the window, I saw the reflection of the door that led to my computer room and saw a black figure standing there.

Then I woke up, but had this paralyzing feel of fear all the time. I felt that something evil, non-human was right nearby and heard footsteps going up the stairs towards my bedroom. I was too frightened to open my eyes until about an hour later when the sounds slowly went away and the world around begun to seem more normal. However I have never really got over it. That really made me wonder if there's actually evil supernatural beings as close to me as in my own home... :nervous:

I was actually reading up and trying to figure out why this happens. It just seems weird that most people that go into sleep paralysis see these odd figures or beings, also the feeling of fear in this is VERY strong and distinct. I myself have had a few of these episodes, and they are disgustingly scary.

I woke up around late afternoon today and there was bright sunlight in my room, but I couldn't move and was completely paralyzed. I immediately got the fact that I was in sleep paralysis, and started to feel this strange evil presence close to me. It was emitting some sort of vibration, and it's sound was like someone snickering, I can't really explain the sound but it was not human. I felt frightened to death, I then saw this black figure right next to my bed but it's face had no features and was just black. It started to touch my shoulder and began lightly knocking on my neck, I couldn't move at all and felt the heavy knock. It finally did a really hard knock and I felt my collar bone break, I then woke up immediately after.

I've read alot of things about this being some sort of another dimension that we accidentally end up interfering in. I'm just trying to understand why soo many people experience this weird heavy feeling of presence, everyone's descriptions of these beings are similar to one another. I thought of it as our mind showing us of what we are afraid of, but if that was the case, other people would see different than one another.

Something called astral projection is also possible in sleep paralysis. It basically is that if you do end up in this sleep paralysis scenario and start seeing these "beings", you can try and push out of your body and explore their dimension. Many people do it on a regular basis, and I think it is connected to lucid dreaming in a way. Astral projection is an out of body experience, you can see your real body sleeping. Once you do get over these beings scaring you and practice alot of meditation, they stop bugging you and just roam about without really doing anything. Anyone curious should lookup into this, very interesting of a process. 👍

I personally have never tried to practice this as it's too scary for me, but I do believe that astro-projection is possible. Alot of it doesn't make sense, but going through the experience of sleep paralysis, it isn't like a regular nightmare or scary feeling of presence, it feels real, alive, and these shadowy things are too threatening, at least mine was.

I'm afraid to sleep now after the one today. :nervous:

I had a sleep paralysis dream a while ago, where I was in my bed and one of those guys from Organization XIII from Kingdom Hearts came in. He was just standing there, but I felt so weird and scared. I finally "woke up" and ended up running away with my sisters....xD

I feel like I can influence my dream, but I'm not in full control of where it goes.

The first time I could do it, I was about 13. I had a dream that I was at my elementary school, playing soccer. A giant spider came (12 feet tall) and began web-ing people up, like mummies.

I actually thought to myself (Outside the dream) "Oh gosh. That is a large spider. What would happen if I got bit?"

Suddenly, I was bit by the spider, and I was in pain. I'm fairly certain I died.

Of every 10 dreams I remember, I'd say I could influence about 3 or 4 of them. It isn't full control, but I change events which are already transpiring.

Had a rad RTS dream, was playing a lot of Command & Conquer lately. :dopey:

But now I seem to have forgotten what happened, I pictured it clearly in my head a couple of hours ago. :ouch:

That reminds me of LIMBO

Anyone actually had a Lucid Dream recently? I haven't had one in a week. That's a new (not good) record. :P

I kinda failed with my first lucid dream.

I was in it, and I was so excited I was in one.

Then I woke up.

Rage insued.

=T

LMFAO! XD

I can't even remember my dreams in the morning anymore, let alone have a "Lucid Dream." :( I want to have a good dream god dammit!

Don't know how I missed this thread. Ever since I heard about the topic of lucid dreaming in January, I've been making a big effort to make L.D.-ing a frequent thing for me. Performing 'Reality Checks' every few hours, writing every detail of every dream in my dream journal, and sleeping early (when I feel like it :P ) has resulted in me having at least 1-2 LD's a month. It's pretty awesome. :D

So I'm having this lucid dream and, as I usually do, I'm flying. I fly a lot in my lucid dreams since it's so easy and effortless to do and I love flying. So while flying over my usual fields and forests and these absolutely breath-taking meadows, and I'm doing my whole Jonathan Livingston Seagull thing, swooping and diving and soaring and so on, I see these buildings in the distance. They're almost alwsys there though I rarely fly over them. I decided to zoom over there and almost with the thought found myself in one of the buildings, in a room with a couple of guys. There are all these computers around and the guys are staring at them totally ignoring me. I go over to check and they're on GTPlanet!
This makes me remember this thread so I go to one of the computers and boot up this thread to make this post. When I wake up I'm going to come back and see if I really made this post.
Gotta fly now. . . Bye. ;)

Edit: Obviously, I was kidding ;) - one can't manipulate objects in the Realm of Light, while inhabiting the Dreamworld.
